Food was great. Would not recommend the cocktails.
Lunar new year dinner
The food came out quickly and was very delicious. The service was good. Reasonably priced.
Food is always fabulous and the service is also on point. Perfect date night spot!
Food always good, great selection. Service excellent.
Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again. Highly recommend
It was wonderful
excellent #9 and ebi shumi... Need to add negamaki to the menu...
Excellent food
Awesome experience - felt safe and comfortable. Food was great - server was amazing! Thank you!
The sushi and overall food items were very good, as usual. I was disappointed that there wasn't and chu toro or uni, but found several other favorites. Origami is doing a very good job on distancing, mask wearing and disinfecting. There were smart new bar tables and new plexiglass at the bar. The only disappointment is that my Ichitini wasn't up to its usual very good standard. I really miss the former bartender, Junior - he made the best Ichitini. Now the cucumber is like a 10 year old chopped it, unlike the former seaweed like ribbons. Unfortunately it was undrinkable as it just tasted like pure vodka and I had to send it back to get fixed, I explained that I couldn't taste the sake at all, all I tasted was the sharpness of the vodka, and I had originally ordered my brands for the drink: Tito's vodka and kariho sake. It came back and tasted exactly the same. I've been drinking this martini for 20+ years and have never had this issue in the past. I think the bartender doesn't have the ratio right. I was really disappointed as this is a big part of the experience. :(
Service and food are always wonderful here. The rolls are delicious, and the best we have had in the twin cities. Highly recommend the lava roll.
Excellent sushi and great service. Dined inside and felt safe. They had solid screens between the tables and their menus are your phones, so their safety protocol is good.
Good food! Fresh fish
Consistently terrific sushi with personable wait staff. (No fishy flavor!)
Had a wonderful time on the patio of Origami and greatly appreciated all the precautions the staff is taking so that a meal there is safe, and extremely delicious.
It was perfect, like always. Perfect food, great beer, and fantastic staff! Would recommend Origami with my last breath. Infinity/10
They were closed and we did not get notifications until we arrived there. Had to make other plans
I love this place!! Great food and I love how they e
Excellent food, excellent service, nice ambiance. Good place to enjoy friends.
Happy hour deals on sashimi, rolls, and sake are very good. We've been loving the ramen as well. Good cocktail prices, too.
great food and decent service. The street noise can be a bit much at times on the patio.
The food was excellent! The environment was calm versus high energy. I will come Back again In the future. It’s nice to go to a place that’s calm.
Food was delicious, but you pay for it. Little pricey but I'm willing to pay for outstanding sushi.
Great food, great service. Everybody was courteous.
Patio was nice and spacious. Always enjoyed coming here
Origami continues to be the gold standard in Japanese cuisine. The service is also phenomenal and on the many times we have been not once have I been disappointed.
Service was prompt even though they were very busy. The server was kind and attentive. The food was amazing as it usually is. (have been there multiple times and its always been great)
It was very pleasant! :) great for a date!
Sushi wasn’t what I expected plus it’s expensive, prefer other places.
It was a sequel to the greatest meal of all time! Everything was just as good, and some things were even better than our previous visit! Highly recommend!
If took more than one hour for the food to get ready and it is raw food, come on!
Love origami!!! Sushi was amazing and had great service
They are seating the patio. Great place to go, especially with limited options with the pandemic. Our server was very good as well!
Origami is my favorite sushi restaurant in the city. I have been going there for decades (they at one time had locations at Ridgedale Mall and Downtown). My absolute favorite roll is the lava roll. Love the wait staff too.
Love it - great sushi and good ramen. Nice to sit out and enjoy a beer and sushi again for the first time since March! :D
Tonkatsu was dry and served Luke warm/cold. Service ok. Just did not measure up to expectations.
One of my favorite places to go to for Sushi. Never disappoints.
Happy hour is good, but main food/entrees were underwhelming at best (like how the ramen had a cold and very fatty pork belly placed in it, making the overall temp of the ramen lukewarm— ramen should be served HOT). Everything is overpriced for what you’re getting, which is why I’ll only ever go there again for their happy hour specials. Disappointing since we used to enjoy going there as a family, but the food overall is just too pricey now to justify.
My wife and I were excited to go to Origami for Valentine's Day. The hostess was nice and seated us quickly upstairs. Our waitress was pleasant but was pushy and did not give us much time to try to select our drinks. We asked her to come back after we had a few mins. The carpet upstairs is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Our waitress did not know the specialty drinks for V's day because she "did not drink", which is fine, but she should still know the menu and the drink specials. We ordered one specialty item that was good and a sushi platter. Our waitress forgot the salad and soup that came with the platter, we had to ask for it twice. When the salad and soup came it was 1 salad and 1 soup for two of us. This made no sense at all. The sushi platter was not fresh and the sushi was bland. We could not wait to get out of Origami but then could not get our waitress to come back with our check. We paid and walked to Chino for a drink and really enjoyed ourselves. Next time we will simply go to Fujiya or Chino. Bad service, bad food and extremely overpriced.
