Hello Danielle, You ordered one vodka cocktail with pineapple and honey, and a mezcal cocktail with St.Germain and Dry Curaçao in it in your 2.5 hours visit. These cocktails are meant to be sweet cocktails and the ingredients are the clear indicators of them. Service was all men. The kind of men that totally made my date feel uncomfortable. It was very loud and the table they sat us was directly under the restaurant computer so I constantly had these guys over my shoulder bustling and we eventually were moved to another table close to the bathrooms… this is a glorified dive bar. No real hospitality at all

Almost half of our guests,regulars,friends and also some of the people that we work with who owns or represents liquor companies are lgbtq+ members; some of them are in active position in the community. Can’t say enough about this small bar in the West Village. The drinks and small bites were excellent. The service was exceptional From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, the servers and manager did everything to ensure we were happy. I would highly recommend for a friends get-together or a date. A hidden gem in the West Village!

HORRIBLE experience. Made a reservation for 6 for my partner’s birthday and told friends that live nearby to meet us for a drink there as well. The bartender refused to serve us because more than six people showed up - the place was completely empty. I will NEVER go there again. I live in the neighborhood and could not believe how despicable the treatment was. Pretty place with no substance. They don’t know how to run a business. Good luck.

Such a phenomenal place, so transporting - or should I say “trains-porting” since the wonderful Orient Express train cat motif works its magic along with the great coffee brewed in a classic brass espresso machine. A when the quietude of weekend breakfast and jazz gives way to late afternoon and then evening, cafe transitions in the soft glow of the lights into an intimate, buzzing bar of fine mixology and snappier tunes.

I came here with a colleague of mine for a business dinner/drinks meeting. Besides the fact that it was a perfect atmosphere, the drinks, service and staff were outstanding. I was a bit hesitant at first, hearing this was often a crowded and popular place on weekends, but it was exactly what I needed on a weekday. Music was on point with the ambiance, the handsome bartenders ;) and the impeccable cocktails, all highlights of the night. Thank you Orient Express, I’m getting back on the train ASAP!!!

I was surprised to discover that this hidden West Village jewel would surpass my expectations. This bar has some of the most knowledgeable bartenders I've ever encountered, they were happy to guide me through the menu and made great suggestions. I definitely recommend trying the Evening in San Juan cocktail. Last but not least, the music selection was great and created a very warm and welcoming vibe inside the bar. My reservation went very smoothly, they had a great table ready for me and they had already taken care of my special request. Highly recommended.

Great bar, with a great vibe. However, they aren't taking reservations via OpenTable anymore so although they were very kindly able to accommodate our party of 6 this wouldn't be a guarantee.

Great atmosphere and terrific drinks. Grateful that reservations are taken as it is a small space and things are a little cramped and pushy around the bar. The only drawback was that at one point they turned the music up really loud, seemingly trying to silence conversation and drive people out. That was not the most pleasant end to an otherwise very nice evening.

We had a reservation for 5 people but it seemed like there wasn't really room for 5 people when we showed up - 3 people were cramped on one side of the table because there were no seats. Also, service was kind of slow because there wasn't too much staff. The bartenders were taking the orders, making the drinks and then dropping it off at the table. It was still a fun place (good music) but its better for smaller groups.

This was a cute restaurant two years ago. Set up like the Orient Express train from movie days it shares a kitchen with the restaurant next door. At this point it offers only a small (stained) menu of very common appetizers and very small drinks served in old-fashioned cocktail glasses. The charcuterie plate offered 2 pates, 3 meats and pita bread slices. No pickles or other garnish AND none available to bring from the kitchen. They were out of Bombay Sapphire Gin, didn't carry Rose's Lime or cranberry juice...so lower quality gin for martini, and no gimlets or cosmos could be made. Music was rock and roll instead of period sounds you would expect. No wonder it was empty on Saturday night at 7:00.

We love Turks and Frogs and thought we'd try Orient Express as the two spots have the same owner. Unfortunately the service experience is worlds apart. We went to Orient Express last weekend for drinks and appetizers and were one of three occupied tables during our time there. The wine was fair and the appetizers were good but the service was the poorest we've experienced since moving to NYC. The wait staff congregated by the bar socializing and getting their attention was beyond difficult. When we finally did get someone's attention it was clear that we were frustrated. The waitresses response was to exude venomous attitude for the remainder of the dinner which made the experience unpleasant to say the least. Off the list....

The service was horrendous. I had an opentable reservation, and when I arrived and told the bartender, he just pointed to the back so I took a seat. We had to wait at least 15-20 minutes before I grabbed someone who was walking by to let them know we didn't have a waiter or menus. This level of being ignored lasted until a new waiter came on for his shift. Definitely not going back, unless I am sitting at the bar. When I pay over $100 for a few cocktails and a plate of hummus, I expect a little more service.

We got there early, when there were only a few other people. The ambiance was great. We could appreciate all the detail that went into the place and have a nice conversation. Further into the night, it got very loud and packed; there were people standing right next to our table waiting to get a seat. Overall a good experience, but I would suggest going early if you don't want the typical bar scene.

We came for pre-dinner cocktails, which were quite delicious and unusual. Food was just average, but we only had some hummus as a nosh to tame the alcohol. Great old-school cocktails. Casual atmosphere. We had a lot of fun.
