Best vegan food hands down! Owner and staff were super friendly and very attentive. I will be going back here on Tuesday. The vegan cashew cheese was the best I’ve ever had. The cheese is made in house so it’s super fresh. My wife and I had a valentines prefixed meal. Everything was delicious and healthy. When I woke up the next morning I felt energized and light on my feet. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
We went back to order the same dish we had last week. We ordered the identical dish from the menu and it tasted nothing like the week before. It was almost tasteless compared to the last time and the quantity of specific ingredients was changed.
We were disappointed. There was only one server there tonight and things seemed a bit frenetic.
Food was delicious!
Wonderful service, delicious food!
This east village place is as real as it gets. The anti macdonald said.
Funky. Surprisingly tasty. Healthy. And goooood.
They have a way with kale. Love it.
A most unassuming little place. Rustic in a simplistic sort of way. They care about their customers, and prepare their selection of food in a most thoughtful way. This will be one of my many go to places in the East Village.
Very good service. Food very good.
The food was delicious - overall a great experience. Service was not the best, but that didn't diminish the experience. We really enjoyed all of the food we ordered and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dinner.
I've been a regular at the Organic Grill for over ten years. The food is healthy and deliciously
prepared. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. This is my go to place for brunch to meet friends in a charming, unpretentious atmosphere. It feels cozy and no one rushes you so that you can savor your meal. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for organically prepared, wholesome food.
I made a reservation via opentable and when I showed up, the restaurant said they were closed for an event/that they weren't listed on opentable that night. They were very dismissive when I tried to show them my reservation. I understand there was nothing they could do to accommodate me, but I'm disappointed they disagreed with me/said I didn't make a res. They could just have admitted the mistake, that somehow the restaurant was listed (and at 10x points!) even when they weren't free, but instead they told me I was wrong.
I'm a nice gal, have worked in food service and am generally very sympathetic to waiters, but when I make a reservation for a date I expect to be able to eat there OR in dire circumstances be listened to and respectfully turned away. Maybe y'all need to communicate better with opentable.
The green machine burger was amazing
This is a little gem of a place with a great menu for the vegetarian/vegan palate. This is a small, cafe' type place - nothing fancy - but cozy and casual. The burgers and sides we got were delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend this to any vegetarian/vegan who wants a satisfying meal.
The place is small- (cramped and I'm not a large person)menu is fantastic, food is fantastic BUT the kitchen is SLOW and they had only 1 server doing everything. Even though the place is small- this girl needed help. Was no fault of her own but we waited 25 minutes for our food...that's a pretty long wait for a super casual small place. I'd go again but probably for take out. The vegan red velvet cake was heaven! So were the charred brussel sprouts and their famous veggie burger. Loved the food.
Great restaurant. Amazing food. Noisy dish clearing behind counter. Load difficult to hear sometimes when dishes cleared
Wonderful, nice serving staff too. Very helpful and fun.
Good cozy spot for vegetarians, vegans and pescaterians as well as anyone who wants some good food.
Try the tofu omelette. It's really interesting and delicious.
Very welcoming restaurant that makes you feel good! The Green Machine burger is certainly one of the best ones I've had!
It's not cheap, but you gotta pay for good, organic food - so go ahead and do it!
Had the popular veggie burger and it was quite good and a quinoa dish. Service was super friendly and outstanding with a fabulous play list. It's not in my neighborhood but I will go back for the sweet potato fries
An interesting choice in the East Village with great vegetarian fare. Nice café atmosphere. Friendly service.
The mulled wine served in an apple absolutely made my night, but the rest of the meal was remarkable as well! The food was amazing, everyone loved what they ate and we had vegetarians and omnivores in our group. It's small inside and probably not good for large groups but the service and food really can't be beat. We will be back, and we live an hour and a half away!
The Green Goddess Burger is a must have! I heard Green Machine burger is popular, but I wanted something simple. With the friends I hung out with, only one of them was a Vegan. I heard good reviews about this place, but others were still skeptical since the other Vegan restaurants we tried before were all a fail. Our waiter was very nice, but a bit slow when it came to asking for more water. The food came out right away, no long wait! My vegan friend got the Pierogies, and she said it was the best Vegan Pierogies she had. So I'm glad she enjoyed them, and the others also enjoyed their food. Def coming back!
Disappointed.. Really just a very small store front, with an attempt to be a eastside vibe, but an upper east side priced menu..
I get it , its Organic, but its ridiculously priced for what it is.. And insulting ..shouldnt be on Open Table for dinner service. May be good for a quick lunch.
This place never fails to be amazingly delicious. love it.
The fries are well seasoned. However the moisture from the salmon leaked allover my dish.
They did not have several things listed in the menu
I had gone there for those things
I was very disappointed
It was inexcusable, in my opinion
I only can go there once a year as i live out of the city
I had taken an hour bus trip to go there
Great Vegan/Vegetarian place. My friend is vegan and she had great Jack Fruit Enchiladas. I had a nicely prepared wild salmon with sauteed dark greens and quinoa. We also had a beet hummus to start that was delicious. The food is excellent.
veggie burgers and vegan cakes were good appetizers excellent nice simple place - super friendly service . if you are not vegan you can still enjoy the food
Casual vegetarian and vegan food. Moderate portions appreciated.
In the East Village, there are fewer and fewer good, simple, casual vegetarian restaurants still kicking, but this one is still going strong after many years. glad to see this neighborhood staple is still serving great food.
Food was very good, but they have too many tables for the tiny space they have. Classic situation in NYC.
