We had reservations through Open Table but showed up to discover that the restaurant is closed (for renovations).
We had a good time on New year's eve!! Good food and nice atmosphere!
The advertised specials were for the previous day, which was unfortunate as my husband was looking forward to our ne of the specials
We really enjoyed our meal here, great staff, very friendly and efficient. Relaxing atmosphere. Would def recommend and would return if we are ever in New York again.
Delicious food- at points it was a little loud to hear the person across from you, but great time!
Good food and great service! Good mimosas
Very good food for a quick lunch while in NYC. Would highly recommend based on great glfood and ambiance
The staff was friendly and pleasant. Lunch crowd was really light, which made me worry. The food (burger, prime dip, and salad) was quality, well prepared and delicious. The Guinness was cold and well poured.
Better than average bar food in relatively cozy atmosphere. Solid service. Good beer selection. Ample TVs but not a sports bar. Will definitely return.
Lockerer Pub, gutes Essen zu fabelhaften Preisen, gute Bierauswahl.
Had a great dinner with friends. Ate in the upstairs dining area so it was quiet for conversation. Service was wonderful and food tasty. Nice ambiance, soft lighting.
Excellent service, waitress was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions!
I was going to a concert at MSG and had read some positive reviews about O'Reilly's and decided to try it......The service was polite and attentive ......the food was well above average for pub fare.....the menu isn't extensive but I think one would be able to find something that they would like.....I had the a cup of the soop of the day and the fish tacos.....both came in a timely fashion and were very good....they have a pretty good selection of craft beer.....and best of all the bill was very reasonable...I would certainly go back
The prime rib sandwich was amazing.
Close by and convenient to hotels and Herald Square shopping. Very friendly wait and bar staff. Quick and easy on the Guinness draft pull. Dinner menu was varied enough for anyone's taste. I ordered a Reuben, but the bread wasn't toasted-strange. Otherwise, quality experience and reasonably prices.
It was a Monday dinner. Get the table right when we got there, with a reservation though. Food are good with great amount portion. Overall meet our expectation.
I met a friend on a Friday evening around 6:30P and had the upstairs to ourselves, so it was easy to talk and catch-up without shouting across the table. Very rare in NYC. And the food is very good. The Happy Hour drinks won't allow for drinks that take more than one type of alcohol, so no $6 margaritas, but other than that, it's a great meet-up place.
Great little restaurant, food was very good and service was great!
Turned out to be a great spot for an after work team gathering. Fast service, good food and not too loud. Had a bit of room to spread out which was nice as well.
Excellent food, some great authentic Irish dishes. Lovely atmosphere, reasonable prices.
I sat for over 10 minutes before anyone came by to even asked if I wanted a drink. Service throughout the entire meal was terrible.
Amazing place!! The NY steakhouse is the best I have tasted in my whole life! The service is really good! Highly reccomended
We found this place after shopping in the morning at Herald Square. It's a pub, with bar seating and high-top tables, with a few booths and regular tables. We were only the second party in the place when we arrived at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, but the other party was large with several children. It started filling up around 2 p.m. There was only one server trying to do his best, but I could tell he was backed up. He was friendly and apologetic though. Great pub food options with vegetarian choices available. They also offer a weekend brunch menu. Very reasonably priced. I was chaperoning four teenagers, who all had burgers, and I had grilled cheese with soup. Our bill was less than $75 for all five of us, which was excellent for NYC. The food was tasty and hit the spot. I'd go again.
Went for dinner/drinks for my husbands birthday. Hostess was excellent. Our server was not so interested in getting drinks or food. We had to keep asking her for drinks when new guests arrived. I even asked for a dish to eat our apps and she rolled her eyes at me. 20% tip was automatically included in the bill so she had no incentive. Otherwise great energy and lovely joint. Apps and sandwiches we had were yummy
Went for an early lunch. Food and service were very good.
Start by saying, I don't usually review restaurants (only once because it was HORRIBLE). Went here with my 13 yo son. He ordered the Bangers and Mash, said it was one of the best things he has ever eaten. My NY strip sandwich was unbelievable as well. The Irish bartender was so friendly, making sure he spent time chatting with my son about basketball. It was an all around AWESOME experience. We plan on hitting this place every time we come back to the city.
We had a group of friends get together for lunch before heading to an afternoon of theatre. The Beverages were all refreshing and wet as expected, the Stout and Onion soup magnificent and the entrees, diverse from fish and chips to Tuna Salad were excellent. I'll go again.
Bangers and Mash delicious! Irish curry amazing! Fish and Chips awesome! Dublin Onion Stout soup very yummy.
We had a group of 10 who hadn't seen each other for a long time and really wanted to be able to hear each other talk. We were very pleased with the quiet large table upstairs, despite it being a busy night just before New Years.
The food was fine - nothing special, really - but great for the location and price. The service was excellent.
We had lunch here before a show and the food and service were great. The location is very convenient when seeing a show. I will definitely go back.
The place was fairly empty so it was quiet and everyone said their food was good except the salad was drowned in dressing, so ask for it on the side! The waitress was incompetent and has no idea how to care for patrons properly.
Will Not Return
My reservation was not honored in full, so a group coming to celebrate a birthday were spread over non-connecting areas or crammed together in a corner by a door that was continuously opened. In fact, space was held for a table not on the reservation for a group of 8 who were on first name basis with the wait staff and manager. Food was good, but the table was not cleared until several requests and even then items were just left. Service was not consistent and individuals got faster service just going to the bar rather than being cared for in our group. I was not informed that individuals would not be able to pay for their meals as they left (though I had been clear in conversation with the restaurant that people would be coming and going throughout the time and would want this option). The response was separation of a check could not be done for a group of more than 6 -- however, the table who knew the manager paid in 4 separate checks. This made the experience very stressful and not an enjoyable time for the birthday honoree.
When discussing with the manager on duty - he was not really concerned or even sympathetic or apologetic at all and refused any help other than to send over a round of drinks to a group that was leaving.
I was pleasantly surprised. For an Irish kitchen their mussels in red sauce was as good as any Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Everyone was happy with the food.
Came before a show on a busy winter night and the servers were very accommodating, the space cozy and the food was all great. The calamari was delicious and substantial and not overcooked, salmon was great and my daughter liked her pizza.
We loved it and were made to feel super special by the lovely staff!! Thank you for a fab night O'reillys!
Very good menu options. Friendly staff. Food perfectly cooked & presented.
Great, clean restaurant. 5 min walk from penn station. Best shepherds pie I've ever had!
Food was great, service was great. Would definetly go back.
My visit was a Saturday late afternoon - early dinner time. The place was nearly empty. Despite that, service was painfully slow and awkward. Food is nothing special and most likely only needed fried or heated to prepare. For the price, go somewhere else.
