Oregon Electric Station
To be fair I did not mention to my server that I had a hair in my salad. Otherwise food was very good and service was fantastic. Price was ok for the meal.
Great as usual
Excellent food and great service, the wait staff was very friendly and helpful and attentive. An overall amazing evening
Everything was fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday in our group, and upon arrival, we were greeted with a birthday card signed by the staff, a nice little touch. However, we learned that they were going to offer us a free desert for the birthday recipient, yet they still charged us for their desert (the only one we ordered, since we were told it would be free).
Very interesting set-up, great ambience, good food and service. Will definitely be back again, when we visit Eugene.
we enjoyed our meal here a great deal. All the food, four meals, were well presented, and delicious. The service was attentive and cordial. Our group chose 3 three different meals and all were very pleased.
Beautiful place! Loved everything about the meal except the appetizer -The mozzarella sticks weren’t for me. Dinner salad with blue cheese was very tasty. Love the train cars - Especially the wine car.
Walked in on a slow Sunday for reservations at 6:00. No one was at the hostess station, the bar, or the lobby. Waited around for 5 mins wondering if this is where we were supposed to be. Once someone showed up we were seated immediately. There were only 2 of us for a quiet birthday date and cozy empty tables available all around. instead we were seated in the middles of the dining area at a table for four surrounded by the only 3 full tables in the place. A little ambiance would have been appreciated. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was quite good though overpriced. I would go again... but recommend requesting special seating, and really wouldn't expect much more than good/slightly overpriced food and lukewarm service.
Prime rib was overcooked, that shouldn't happen when you're paying $40 for a meal. Atmosphere was great, but not worth the price. I would go back for drinks and happy hour but not for dinner service.
Another great experience at Oregon Electric Station. The food was fantastic and not terribly expensive - we ordered a couple of local favorites that were more reasonably priced. The only issue - and not a big deal - was that it was Saturday night and kind of busy, so it took a while in between times when our server would check on us. Overall, it was awesome. The food there does not disappoint!
Our food was under cooked. Our server was very nice tho..
We had a family gathering of 7 people and were seated at a table shaped like a C which meant none of us could talk to anyone but our immediate neighbor. Old members of the family had to slide along a padded bench way back to their seats, which was difficult for them. This despite requesting a “nice table” for such a gathering. The food was excellent, though more expensive than was warranted.
Food was absolutely delicious. The filet mignon melted in my mouth. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful.
Elegant, imaginative and solid menu, casual but perfect service.
We were visiting our daughter at UO and had a chance to dine at OES last Saturday. The rail car booth we were in was great; we’d never sat there before. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent. I especially liked the stuffed poquilla (sp?) peppers.
A little pricey, but good solid presentation, nice staff and great steaks keeps the Electricity humming.
Food is fabulous every time we come in. I have had my whole family from out of town in and they all raved about the food.
Was greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. The Electric Lemonade was refreshing, fruity and delicious for starters. The fresh bread with tomato infused olive oil for dipping was delightful to nibble on after we placed our order. My wife and I both cleared our plates, her plate of 8 oz Filet Mignon and mine 12 oz Prime Rib both were cooked perfect medium rare and both plates came with mashed potatoes and fresh steamed vegetable and we added the sauteed mushrooms on top. The staff was very pleasant and did a great job.
Very unique decor, good food, overall a good experience.
It was Valentine's Day, so expectedly busy. They had a set menu for quick turn around, but most of the food was obviously masses produced and just stuck on a plate. All the food was somewhat warm, not hot and just okay.
The appetizers were not very good otherwise great food and service
Wonderful! Great service, food was savory, pleasant ambiance.
Good foo, good service!
The food was average and it was barely warm. Dinner was very expensive for the quality. I thought it was better last time. I probably wont be returning.
Lovely dinner with our college daughter
Fun dinner out after matinee at Hult Center. Attentive staff but not solicitous. Steak cooked as ordered.
We were attending Harry Potter at the Hult. We were served so promptly that we finished earlier than anticipated. Two of us had hamburgers, messy but yummy, one pasta, equally delicious although, as usual with pasta, too much pasta for sauce!
Overall. It was great. The hosts and servers were attentive and nice. I have the burger. The beef was good, but the toppings were uninspired. The bacon needs to be cut instead of draped, uncut, crisscross hanging out a couple inches in either side. Do bbq or aioli, but get rid off the bbq aioli.
Lukewarm sides, ribeye steak was good but should have been better for the price. Salad was good but I did not appreciate the hair.
As always, the food and service is among the best. We sat by the fireplace on a cold night to have wine and food prior to attending a play. My wife had the grilled salmon and I had the fish tacos, Both were very tasty but the salmon was excellent. We even came back after the play for a glass of port and warmth.
Amazing night at my favorite Eugene spot!! Highly recommend!!
I often book Oregon Electric Station for work dinners. On this particular night, I had originally thought we'd have just a small party. But when my RSVP list kept growing, they were so gracious and flexible. We ended up in our own private room. The server was incredibly attentive, the whole staff was helpful during the set up, and of course the food was wonderful. We had a fantastic experience, and I'm so happy I chose Oregon Electric Station.
We were having dinner before an event at the Hult Center. We ordered lighter meals in an attempt to finish in a timely manner. Our waitress was outstanding: she made good suggestions, brought wine and meal without rushing us and came with our bill when we asked. My son arrived late due to football game, his beer arrived promptly. She got a great tip!
Great location amazing interior design on the conversion of the space from train station to restaurant / bar. Food was alright but a little expensive for the quality and amount you get . Service was good waiters were attentive. Great place to impress out of town guest or a date. Would certainly recommend dinning here at least once to see if you like it we did and I would go back on a special occasion for sure !!
Husband ordered Medium temperature hamburger. Hamburger was definitely rare and not cooked medium. Meat was mushy closer to raw. Sent it back. It came back looking exactly the way he had sent it back to kitchen with cut bun, lettuce, etc... Meat wasn't warm when it came back to table. He picked at it but really didn't feel comfortable eating it and server did comp it off the bill. Have been here before, like the location and ambience, but not sure if we will return.
Great food and excellent service. Our party all had our lunch menu favorite... crab melt sandwich... and we're not disappointed.
We took my 8 year old grandson there for his birthday and he loves trains, so we sat in a dining car. Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was enjoyable and the dinner was delicious. My only complaint is the menu is too eclectic for my taste - I'm more a traditional eater and I only found the prime rib with mashed potatoes and a vegetable to be more my taste. I love seafood but I enjoy simple ingredients and just couldn't pick any of the options except for the crab cakes which I've had before. I get it that people coming there and paying high prices want something different, but I want to know what I'm eating. Others in the party felt the same way and most of us had steak or prime rib or hamburgers. I wish you had at least 1 simple fish dinner like a baked cod or something like a baked shrimp or scallop dinner. Don't worry we'll be back, the beef was delicious and my grandson truly enjoyed his free dessert for his birthday!
The food was great and the service wasn’t awful. But In my opinion if I go eat an expensive nice meal I’d prefer if my server isn’t wearing a jersey. If that’s what I want I’ll just go to Taylor’s. They make a mean burger.
