We were able to spend luxurious time. Everything is great!
Best view to go with great food. Definitely worth it to have at least once.
AMAZING amazing amazing
Food was great. Chef is innovative and accommodating for different dietary needs.
The hotel staff was helpful and patient with all our questions.
Orchids is a beautiful restaurant inside the Halekulani. Views overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head. Tables on the covered, outdoor lanai are right on the water. The food and ambiance are second to none. The service is impeccable.
A beautiful lunch, excellent food and outstanding service. Highly recommended. 👍👍
Beautiful tranquil location for an intimate lunch away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki!
Buffet was excellent with amazing dishes. Enjoyed the sushi bar and all the deserts.
Great food and outstanding service. I will be back
Always a great experience. Staff is top-notch. A MUST every time we're in Honolulu.
Very nice view and very nice ambiance.
I hope come to again ❣️
Wonderfull food! Wonderful view! Exactly what we were looking for to enjoy!
Server was not good. He didn't explain dishes and we were still eating breads but he took our plates.
Superb service by professional staff, amazing cuisine & beautifully ambience. Definitely returning & recommending to family and friends.
Attitude of hostess was snippy and dismissive. If we didn't know the restaurant, it would have turned us away. We celebrate a birthday every year at the same time and requested a special table. Among her excuses for not giving us the requested table was it was needed for Afternoon Tea, which started at 3 - we were there for lunch. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our birthday lunch. As usual, the food was superb - signature onaga over Chinese vegetables was delicious as was the lasagnetta; beef carpaccio and lobster bisque were exquisite. And of course, the signature coconut cream cake for the birthday girl was special, it never disappoints. Service was impeccable.
They got us a table with a view, great service.
Always a pleasure to dine at Orchids. Ambiance, food, and service are outstanding!
Restaurant week menu really demonstrated what the chef can do. Each dish was artfully prepared and cooked to perfection.
This was our second visit to Orchids. We had an excellent experience last year , so we decided to return with another couple to celebrate my wife's birthday. The evening was perfect, with impeccable service, excellent cocktails, fine food and all the little touches that make for a great evening instead of a good evening. Yes, Orchids is more expensive than some Honolulu establishments, but for the price you cannot get better value. Thanks to the staff for making the evening so lovely. We visit Honolulu every fall, and Orchids will be on our agenda for next year.
Celebrated our anniversary and it was amazing! Mahalo for being so caring and attentive.
The place over looks the ocean and have a nice view of Diamond Head. The wait staff were attentive but not over bearing. The Hamachi and Ahi as first course was fresh and soft with the spicy gochujung sauce was perfect. The gnocchi and kabuki shrimp with pesto and tomato sauce was delish! The Cornish game hen was seasoned well and worked with the sauce. The star of the show was the Kona espresso tiramisu! It was covered in chocolate and it was perfect finish to the lunch course. 10/10 will do again!
We came here specifically for the Restaurant Week 3-course lunch menu for $39.
They gave complimentary bread (3 kinds) with butter, balsamic and EVOO, and olives - YUM.
The portions are generous and definitely worth it. Courses:
1) hamachi and ahi Crudo - unique and delicious, the sauce was tasty and strong without being overpowering and we loved it with the grapefruit
2) a WHOLE Cornish hen - perfectly cooked and tasty with that lovely lemon sauce
OR the shrimp with gnocchi - the gnocchi was pillowy and airy as it should, but the dish needed more shrimp and as a whole missed some Oomph in the flavor department
3) tiramisu - rich and delicious with that ganache-like chocolate and beautifully tart lilikoi sauce.
I love that there were different/balanced textures in each dish.
Gorgeous venue right on the beach. Service was pleasant, very timely and courteous.
Overall a very satisfying experience for the value.
Restauration bien, mais a ce prix c'est normal !
Propre, Service agréable,
Valet parking très bien.
Appetizer and dessert were fantastic - quality, taste and presentation. Main entrees had a lot to be desired. Cornish game hen was tough and with bones and difficult to eat. Even a hamburger would have been more appreciated! Gnocchi was ordinary. Service and ambiance was outstanding and made it a pleasant experience.
The best food, best view, best ambiance, best service; cannot be missed!
The food was incredible! Portion size was perfect. Daniel and Nina were great servers. Very attentive with excellent timing. We will definitely return.
Love the quiet, fancy, and elegant atmosphere! Perfect for an intimate dinner right in the heart of Waikiki. Love this place for the view!
Mostly very good but not worth the prices charged when judged against many other restaurants.
Orchids at the Halekulani Hotel never disappoints. From the moment you drive into their driveway, the service is always top notch. Food is excellent!
One thing, we were a little early so we sat at the bar and had a glass of champagne. I asked about the choices and and she brought out two different bottles. I ordered a glass of their signature champagne and got charged $28.00 a glass. I’m not sure if they have less expensive choices but this are the two choices she gave us.
Dinner for the two of us with two appetizers and two mains with 2 mai tais came out to about $150 so the two glasses of champagne ended up being 25% of our bill. Good salesmanship on her part but I wish she gave us less expensive choices. I should have asked on my part.
Ambiance, service and food was excellent. Music from House Without a Key was a bonus!
Will definitely go again but next time I’ll order beers.
This was our best meal on Oahu and it wasn’t close. Tremendous food with friendly, attentive service and a spectacular view of the Pacific.
My wife’s 50th birthday.
