We got there five minutes before our reservation. I told the person at the front desk that we had a reservation and gave her my name. We get seated and find out about the salad bar. We eat and as we are leaving I noticed an email from open table saying about not showing up for our reservation. I spoke to the guy who is now at the front desk and he said that’s the first time that’s happened.

The food was great, but it is now a little pricey with the Prime Rib at $33, and Halibut was $40. You do get generous portions and all you can eat salad bar.

Good solid steakhouse & salad bar fare. Nice view. Comfortably old school, predictable & reliable.

Very disappointing. Went there for Sunday brunch. The first impression was an old, rundown restaurant. I get that it’s supposed to be a mine, but it's no reason for how unclean and worn out it was. I wanted a Bloody Mary but their only option was a $13 drink which included shrimp and bacon. I didn’t want the meat but was told the price would be the same.

I went to the omelet/pasta bar first. There was a good selection of items to choose from, but the cleanliness was definitely lacking. When the chef went to get a pan for my omelet he got a dirty pan from underneath the counter (I had seen him put other dirty pans there so I know it was not clean). He looked at it and grabbed a dirty towel off the counter and wiped it out. When my husband went to get an order of pasta the chef wasn’t really listening to him and put the wrong sauce on it. When he pointed it out the chef gave him another one that had the correct sauce, but when my husband began to eat he realized it was someone else’s with the wrong ingredients. The buffet was okay, but the food did not look very fresh and again it was not clean around the food. We tried the crab legs, which were small, and several had no meat. The salad bar was nice as was the dessert bar when we first got there. Towards the end of our meal we went to get dessert and found that about half the desserts were gone and it looked like they were closing it down, 45 minutes before the brunch ended.

Most annoying was a nearby table with a group of eight adults who had obviously had too much champagne. They were extremely loud and vulgar, yet the staff said nothing and continued serving them champagne. At one point the server was at their table watching something on one of their phones while the group was carrying on loudly and using offensive (f-word) language. No one from the staff took any action to control the situation.

We won't be back nor will we recommend it to anyone we know.

Overall a nice experience. Some of the food trays took longer than others to be refilled during their busy noon-time rush, would likely go later next time. Prime rib overcooked for our taste. Snow crab plentiful, as was/were lox and the ribs. Omelette station good options. Would be nice if they included coffee/tea in the price. Juice and champagne included.

Delicious food! Options for all meat and seafood were amazing, and the salad/soup bar was great. We had a small issue with our reservation and didn’t get called initially, but once we talked to the host station we were seated right away. Our waitress was great, and the view from our table is one that couldn’t be beat!

Took my wife for birthday dinner, we waited 15 mins for our table when we were on time,
Our server never showed up so the girl filling in had to take care of us, wasn’t sure if she was really happy about it.
I had a glass of wine to chill out then they say a huge loud group of people above us, they were so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk, kind of ruined the evening for me.
Always have been a fan of OC mining since kids were little it’s been the special occasion go to spot.
Just a bad timing night and we will still go back again.

Great food & service as usual. My wife & I go here about four times year for special occasions & the welcoming staff, servers, & the food are the best around (this includes Orange & LA counties).

I ordered the sautéed salmon, it came out undercooked. The service was very slow had to wait too long for our waitress to come to the table to send my salmon back to be recooked and the drink refills were very slow. Overall a bad experience and bad service.

Loved this place. The food was great and plentiful. Tons of desserts and pastries. Can't beat the views.
We got there at 9:45 am and it was perfect because it wasn't too busy yet. I hate kids and children in restaurants. At least the ones that parents let them run around a scream at the top of their lungs which seem to be MOST PARENTS now-a-days. So it was perfect timing because kids started to show up just as we were leaving.

I had reservations for 2 at 8:00pm. When we checked in we were informed they were running about 15 minutes late. We went to the lounge area and waited to be called. We weren’t seated until 8:45. We didn’t receive our food until 9:15. Guests seated 20 minutes after us received theirs first. Upon mentioning this to our waitress she said “sometimes the kitchen mixes up tickets, but they also got rare you ordered medium so that takes longer to cook”. Considering how long we had been from the moment we arrived an apology would have been very nice but none was offered. When we finally received our order both were cooked wrong. And the food wasn’t great. It took us another 40 minutes before we were able to pay and leave. The experience as a whole left much to be desired. It was our first and last time going here, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The wait was more then excessive, the food was not worth the wait or the amount you pay for it. We probably will not be coming back.

I've been to this restaurant so many times over the years; it's always one of my favorites. We celebrated my birthday, and we had wonderful service from Evonna. The soup and salad bar is always an amazing deal -- so many choices, and everything is fresh. For my entree, I had the swordfish, which was a daily special. Delicious.

Awesome place with killer views of Orange Co, specially at sunset. Just breathtaking. The only bad thing was that Valet company does not take cards, they want to make you download an app?

This was my second time at OC Mining Co. It's a nice place to have some fun and unwind. The food was good was great! Our waitress was super busy but always remembered to check on us. However a couple of people who were there for dinner wasn't very nice. A lady took cutes in front of me at the salad bar line Also a girl poked her hand through the side of the salad bar glass and reach for the spoon I was reaching for and she proceeded to put her sunflower seeds on her salad . What was surprising was they both said "sorry." and smiled and did it anyways ..

First time at the Orange County Mining company, it was great. When you walk in it almost feels like you are walking into a ride at Knott's. The ease of making a reservation online helped out a lot. Sunday nights don't seem too crowded, so even if we did not have a reservation we would have been seated really quickly. The service and food were great! If you get a chance ask for a table by the window so you can enjoy the view, BEAUTIFUL!

Great view, of course. We had a booth looking out the window, which is ideal. Excellent service. Usually, the Disneyland Fireworks can be seen, but they did not go off Saturday night. Emily, our waitress, went on-line to check the conditions to find out for us. She was excellent in general.

A bit of a noisy birthday table right behind us--not bad, really. But we should have noticed and asked for different seats away from the group, and when we came the crowd was thin enough that it could be avoided. In a packed house, I wouldn't even mention it.

The Soup and Salad Bar is excellent. All the main courses come with the Soup and Salad Bar, or you can get just the Soup and Salad Bar. I had the Teriyaki Chicken breast. It was OK. A bit heavy on the sauce, but that can be cleared, and just a bit rubbery. The real problem I have is regret. I should have either gone all-in and ordered a steak (I have had before, and they are good) or just had the Soup and Salad Bar, which would be a fine meal on its own.
