Yet another fabulous meal....fresh food, menu is always changing depending on seasonal options...and flavor profile excellent. Also, drinks and wine to die for.

We had dinner at Oran Mor on July 15. The appetizer (braised pork belly with sauces) was outstanding. My wife had the lamb chops which were perfectly prepared and I had the halibut special which was excellent. The waiter was very informative and attentive. We both highly recommend Oran Mor!

This was definitely one of the top five meals of my life. Great little rooms, hardwood floors, low light. Good service - water, bread came at the right time, servers were nice but unobtrusive. First stop - cocktail for me - the cherry-spice rum concoction - handmade, original, fresh - wish I knew the recipe - it was delicious! Appetizer - mushroom 'pierogis' for me - a misleading name - these were the lightest, flakiest most delicious apps ever - included beer, cheese, other (onion?) - just a perfect combination. Bottle of Peay Chardonnay for the table - perfection (I'm overusing the word but there's no - perfect - synonym). Coffee and doughnut ice cream? How do they do that?? Delicious, unique, could not end any better.

We loved the small attractive rooms for dining. I had the swordfish which was one of the best I have ever had. We also shared the lobster salad which was fantastic. Will definitely return again...especially to try the desserts.

We have been to Oran Mor many times and it's one of our favorite local restaurants. The wine list and menu are impressive--however, our recent service was terrible. Our appetizers were excellent---however, we waited over 45 minutes for our entrees. The waitress apologized for the delay, explaining that the kitchen was "backed up", but two tables nearby finished dessert before we got our entrees (they arrived after us). Opting to share a cheese plate for dessert , another half hour went by before that came out---and we cancelled the order. Overall, the food was excellent, living up to our expectations, but the poor service made it difficult to enjoy. A restaurant of this caliber should be able attract the finest staff available--

OMG, a haven for Food Snobs!
We had the Foie Gras and the bass followed by some yummy lemon dessert. The wine selection was incredible!
Our seating was the best in the house under a window near the bar (request it if there are two of you or should you be solo).
It was such a pleasant experience that we slipped in the following eve for a late night dessert ... Expresso martinis and chocolate!
No, I'm not embarrassed to say it was total decadence!
Make your reservations well in advance to assure you can get in at your preferred time! I suggest dining early, they get busy, busy!

We enjoyed returning to Oran Mor. The food was great and the service attentive. The main disadvantage was the tiny table and cramped seating arrangement.

I can understand why this restaurant was the number one rated on another trip advisory site - every bite of food was filled with flavor - cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly with great presentation and service. Try the duck or the lamb and sausage.

This is our favorite restaurant on Nantucket, but we were disappointed in the noise level coming from the other tables. This hasn't happened in previous visits, but I guess some of the customers had too much to drink!

The swordfish dish was the best thing I have eaten in years. It was that good!

The food was amazing, way above any restaurant we have been to in a long time. The chef is extremely talented, and it shows in every meal that came out. It was exceptionally delicious, and this restaurant is my new favorite. I will find excuses to come to Nantucket just to come back!

This is one of the best restaurants my husband and I have ever been to! The fish was extremely fresh, the salads and breads delicious. It has an attractive, homey atmosphere-located on the top floor of an old Nantucket house.

One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. Hands down. Excellent service in a very comfortable, unassuming atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

not normally words associated with a restaurant ... but this is a truly wonderful experience. I know we did not discover it, given all the reviews and its Zagat's ratings .. but we will make sure other do. Charming hostess and staff and the owner/chef did everything possible to make our dinner experience very special ... go if you can!

Oran Mor has a small funky space on the second floor of a 19th century building with tables crowded together. The food was very imaginative with a fun presentation. For appetizers we had rolled up pork belly that was very crispy and also a noodle dish with a deep fried coddled egg on top like an Easter egg in a nest. When I cut into the egg, the yolk ran down over the noodles. My entree was stacked swordfish steak with a creamy sauce that set off the fish. The waitress recommended wine that was an excellent pairing with the entree. The creative food and funky atmosphere made a very fun evening.
