   Oran Mor is our favorite restaurant on Nantucket! We ate their on both our first and our last nights of vacation! On this occasion, I ordered the pea soup for my appetizer, and my husband ordered the salmon pastrami. We also split a fresh tomato salad. The tomatoes were from Bartlett's Farm on Nantucket. For my entree, I chose lamb which consisted of a fabulous lam loin chop in addition to homemade lamb sausage. It was served with couscous, but I just asked for fresh vegetables instead. My husband ordered a sirloin steak. It was outstanding! It came with potato wedges and rapini. We highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

   A fabulous meal from start to finish. Attentive service , lovely ambiance and most importantly creative and amazingly delicious food!

   We have been dining on the island for years and hadn't been back to Oran Mor in quite a while. Not for any particular reason other than it just being off our radar. We just had an absolutely wonderful dining experience there a couple of nights ago. The food was absolutely delicious. The yellowfin tuna tartare with cilantro pesto was outrageous. The Pekin duck sublime. Every bite was better than the next. We will surely be back and applaud the chef/owner for creating a menu and experience worthy of this stunningly beautiful and very special island.

   Oran Mor Bistro is our favorite restaurant on Nantucket! On this occasion, I ordered a foie gras appetizer that came with 2 kinds of foie gras. It was beautifully prepared and presented. My husband ordered a salad with locally grown tomatoes from Bartlett's Farm which were served with burrata cheese and basil. For my entree, I ordered soft shell crabs. They were served with thinly sliced locally grown zucchini and some crabmeat on top. My husband ordered fluke with homemade gnocchi. It was gorgeous! The service was wonderful! We highly recommend this restaurant!

   My wife picked Oran Mor for her birthday celebration because she knew it would always be outstanding. It fulfilled all our expectations and more. David, our waiter, was exceptional. Nothing on Nantucket is inexpensive, but if you're going to spend a bundle anyway, may as well get the most for your money, and this is the place to do it. Reservations fill up fast, so book way ahead during the busy season. Eating in the bar area is great too if you can snag a table or seat there.

   Starting with the charming interior, mysterious paintings and cozy atmosphere, our interest was piqued from the moment we walked in. We ordered a half bottle of wine while reviewing the menu. Lemon scented bread and focaccia soon arrived. Both were fabulous, I knew we were in for an amazing meal ahead. Both starters were delicious including a simply dressed salad and salt cod fritters and an asparagus and sun choke soup. Both were beautifully presented. Main courses were equally delicious and attractive. I had the scallops, perfectly sweet and seared golden, my husband had the ribeye, a rare treat for him. Though our vivacious and funny waitress tried to steer us to a lighter dessert, we opted for the banana bourbon bread pudding with caramel sauce. Two bites would have been perfect, but we couldn't leave it behind. We made it to the bottom of the adorable mason jar, unusual apparently, and yes, our eyes glassed over in a torpid stare, we ate too much! We took care of that with an extra long bike ride the following day. Thank you Oran Mor. It was a fabulous evening.

   Wonderfully memorable meal. Service didn't rush us at all. The meal was memorable and inventive: peanut butter and jelly with Foie gras - who knew and why not before? Pork belly and egg - wow! Once again, a wonderful meal. Thanks and enjoy the winter! Can't wait to see what the menu is like in spring.

   The food was fantastic. Both the salmon appetizer and the scallop entrée were out of this world and the presentation made one hesitate to begin eating. Definitely a lace to visit while on island

    Great bar with interesting coctails. The food is exquisitely prepared and served. Other than oos and aaas and yummy sounds our table was very quiet wile we savored and luxuriated over our fabulous meal. Home run!!
