We often choose Oran Mor for a celebrative dinner while on a Nantucket vacation. It never disappoints. Food is always fresh and delicious. The menu changes but remains anchored in local produce and fish. Desserts are always fun. Last night we ate: haddock in a Moroccan tangine preparation and delicious duck preceded by spring pea and wildflower salad and finished with coffee and a chocolate dipped donut with flat white ice cream and lots of garnishes. Yum!

by far my favorite restaurant on the island. a hidden gem. all of the detail and love that goes into every dish and cocktails leaves you both amazed and fulfilled. everything was outstanding and wonderful.

This was our first visit of the season. A friend had told us it was the best meal they had had on the island. And it was ours, too. I am gluten sensitive and the kitchen adjusted the oysters so that I didn't have the brioche or breadcrumbs. Still, the best cooked oysters I've ever had - the textured was perfect and the sauce was spectacular. My husband and I both had the octopus and pork belly which was so tasty together. Finally, my husband had the bucatini, which he normally doesn't like, with black truffles. He loved it and said it was the best pasta with truffles he has had anywhere. It is expensive but the quality of the food is worth it!

We had not been to Oran Mor in a few years, it has had a new owner since we were there last, everything was as good as we remembered, maybe even better. It is a great value for fine dining! A nice menu, some good pasta options and some classics! The wine selection is very good and reasonable and the desserts were fabulous too! Can’t wait to return! M and B

Oran Mor has always been a favorite. this season, it has risen to the top of our list. The menu is more inventive, the food, lovely (especially the octopus) and gracious service.

By far my favorite meal on Nantucket and I wish I found this restaurant sooner! A beautiful atmosphere with an interesting, but not over intimidating menu. The staff was extremely friendly and professional and even brought out a few gluten free appetizers for one member of our party when they realized she was left out. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this restaurant and we returned the following day just for drinks. A must do if you’re on Nantucket and an amazing experience overall.

Have been to this restaurant every year since I can remember. As far back as Second Story. Always a very good and interesting meal. And prices, while expensive, are in line with other top restaurants on the island. However, it's insulting to be charged $4 for a few pieces of bread/roll. Really? Think I'm done there.
