Opus 9 Steakhouse
Excellent food, service, and staff. Piano music was a little loud, but other then that we had and enchanting time.
Amazing food and impeccable service!
Perfect lunch - and such a good value. Perfect as to menu selection, quality of food, service, ambiance.
One of only 2 restaurants in Williamsburg I'd say this about.
Always awesome in every way.
Very surprised. Food was not up to usual high standard. Some things were luke warm should be hot. Steak was disappointing. Since it was a special occasion we were disappointed. This was our go to restaurant and we had guests with us.
Outstanding as always!
This was an outstanding experience. eVerything was just as promised, as hoped for, and exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend this place.
Lovely brunch with piano music
My family and I were on vacation and came across this restaurant and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent! We will visit again soon!
My steak was very good, my wife's salmon was under cooked in places but very tasty nonetheless.
Food was very delicious and the waiter very friendly
A very well done meal. Salads, main, sides, deserts, and wine selection met expectations. Service (Matt) was well done, excellent. We go back for special occasions knowing we'll get the best in town.
Excellent experience on all counts: food, service, atmosphere, and value. The $10 lunch menu, offered in addition to the regular menu, is an unexpected bonus. Seating is arranged just right and offered with several options (tables, booths, semi-private rooms, etc.) Bar and drinks are also very nice.
Great steak and service. Anna was our waitress and was fantastic. All of the staff were always willing to
answer any questions and were very energetic.
My family And I enjoyed our experience the food was amazing.
Sat at the bar for happy hour, great wine pours (not 5 ounces here, yahoo) and really good quality bar food. Really good spot for a happy hour drink and some nibbles!
Split review. My caprese salad, rib steak with garlic mashed potatoes, and chocolate lava cake were extremely good. My wife on the other had was not happy. The bleu cheese dressing on her wedge salad was watery, the crab stuffing was fishy and overpowered the shrimp. She also got the garlic mashed and enjoyed that dish. She had the NY cheese cake for dessert and that was very good. The wine list is excellent, the service is top notch, but the failure of one entire dinner's meal is unacceptable.
Matt our waiter was just fantastic and made our evening out quite fantastic. The restaurant was quite romantic and the table tablecloths added to its elegance. The Mozart room inside the restaurant was like sitting inside a wine cellar and included a fireplace. The noise level was adequate for intimate conversation. The Sunday three course special was well prepared and very flavorful at reasonable price. The restaurant manager stopped at each table to make sure we were satisfied with our meal.
Our host, Jacob, was outstanding, engaging and friendly! Everyone was friendly and the food was incredible!
Our family never misses a chance to eat at Opus 9 when we are in Williamsburg, VA. Opus 9 has great service. We always go for Sunday brunch. Elegant tables with fresh plates for each visit to the buffet which is not the typical "buffet". The choices include fresh fruits, salads including pasta salads and seafood salad. There is a huge choice of breads, egg dishes, grits, meats including a carving station. There is waffles and an omelet station. The omelets are like French omelets. They are thin. They are cooked perfectly. There is a whole area for desserts and sweets including an incredible bread pudding. I love their tea choices. It is like having a little tea party when you get the hot tea. I really enjoy Opus every time we go. Service is always top notch. We always are celebrating a birthday when we go.
The service was not the best I have had there, but because it was a buffet it did not really affect the experience. The food was excellent and everyone is always very nice there.
First time In the area.
This is our special occasion restaurant - very good food !
As usual the food was great and the service by Luis was even better.
Always a pleasurable experience. Food and service are always first class.
As usual, Opus 9 continues to deliver exceptional quality, and outstanding service. My wife and I dined at Opus 9 for our anniversiary, and were warmly greeted by the host staff and our waiter, George, who was an absolute pleasure.
Everything was delicious except the lava cake came over cooked. My granddaughter and I ate it anyway since our waitress was busy. When the waitress did return I did mention that I thought the cake was over cooked and was to have a runny middle of chocolate which it didn’t. She did obtain a credit
Decided to try Opus 9 since it was my birthday. We showed up on time and were seated promptly. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which were great. Then set about figuring out what to eat. We decided on a 24oz porterhouse which we ordered medium-rare expecting something amazing. Soon enough, the steak and vegetables came out of the kitchen and I was highly upset that the steak was hard and cooked well-done. It was also all cut up into smaller pieces which I found a bit odd as I'm use to cutting my own steak. Anyway, not really an issue as long as they can fix it. So back to the kitchen to start another steak and when this one came out, it was cooked rare. In my mind, a steakhouse should be able to cook a steak perfectly 95% of the time, especially when you spend $150 on a dinner for two. We told them it was fine and started to eat dinner, but I have to say, the steak didn't really have much flavor and we had to add a bunch of salt and pepper. The vegetables were great and cooked really well but the steak to me is the centerpeice that holds the dinning experience together.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent venue. Made a perfect end to our 34th wedding anniversary. Thanks Travis (our server).
Great food and wonderful service!
Service and the steaks were excellent. The ambiance there is always very comfortable and relaxing.
It was great!
The best value for lunch in Williamsburg! Everything is fresh and delicious. The wait staff is very professional and helpful, especially Louis. A most enjoyable visit.
Exceeded expectation. What a special place. Rarely do I find a combination of everything I love. White tablecloth, linen napkins, flowers, fine service, well prepared meal and culinary surprises with balanced unique tastes. The real surprise was the “10 for $10” lunch meal, where no quality was spared. I had the “Warm Burrata” salad. (Hope I spelled that right?). It was so over-the-top wonderful that this place is going to be on my “to go” list. Can’t wait to go back with friends!
The service was excellent and the salad good. Every time I go in for lunch, the music is far too loud. The manager kindly turned it down after we complained..... but they need to be aware of the average age of their clientele and that many business meetings are held there.
Great meal, great service. I had a 14 ounce New York strip and my wife had the shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat. Both were excellent. Our server was great which was very helpful on our first visit. We will make sure to come here anytime we're in Williamsburg.
Upscale steakhouse. Impeccable food and service.
Loved our food and service! Just wish our loud neighbor could have lowered her voice. 😬
We will be back!
Mart was superb and very attentive to our needs and wants
The experience was just that, an experience. The restaurant is quiet and overall too dim inside. The Filet was great but the cowboy cut even ordered at medium still cooked on the hot plate and became tough pretty quick. The sides were very small in portion but the onion rings as an appetizer was plentiful and delicious. Overall for the price of the food I will most likely not be going back where you can get a more descent meal at any other restaurant here in Williamsburg.
