Opry Backstage Grill at The Inn at Opryland
Sample homestyle dishes made from fresh, locally and regionally-harvested ingredients or tempting selections from our smoker for lunch and dinner.
Not unlike being backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, diners can relax and share good food and good times in a comfortable atmosphere, surrounded by friends and great country music.
Sat and waited 10 minutes before a server came to the table and asked for a drink order. Manager who brought out the food didn’t notice that the wrong salad dressing was with the salad - ordered ranch and brought out blew cheese. Over priced for the quality of food.
service was amazing and all for a great price. Will definitely be back
The waiter staff has many singers and they rotate onto the stage. They pace it with breaks between singers, so you can easily talk. Nice format. We liked the BBQ. Good Southern or country themes are in both music and food. This was our first time and we will be back.
We were happy with our server and our food, but very disappointed with the floor manager who refused to seat our friends at an empty table next to ours. He put them in another room! He was a bit rude, so my friends left. Big mistake!
Not at all what I expected. This was listed as a top 10 to dine at if going to the GOO. Must be strictly due to location. This is an everyday diner. Most diners were over 70 and on a bus tour. Singing wait staff is “interesting “. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Surely there is another option close to GOO.
They had no record of my reservation but was still able to seat us. Food was good. I enjoyed the singing waiters.
We went to the restaurant early as to make a show at the Grand ole Opry, so the ambiance was pretty quiet and none of the waiters or waitresses got up to sing . Food was delicious. I would go again.
Very enjoyable thank you. We are from Canada and loved everything
Good food and music. Waitress was attentive and kept the drinks full. Food came out as expected. Music was great as well.
I've been there several times and always enjoyed the food. Although the service has been ok this time it was terrible...very slow. and the girl greeting us was sour... I went from 7 to 10 people and she was rude. Then our waiter took a long time to deliver the menus, etc. and he got the final bills mixed up. and even left one off... one that had almost $4 in return... and he kept it... until we had a very confusing time trying to figure out where it was, among us.. then when he was asked.. he couldn't remember either. Then he did remember he didn't give it back... it was in his apron.... not sure why since there was already a 18% tip on the ticket. One of the members said she would never go back! No the restaurant was not busy... maybe 5 other tables of 2-4...
Was exactly as expected. Food was good, fair value for the price and portion and live entertainment was provided by a member of the wait staff. Enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the menu offerings.
Very slow service, everyone felt sick after dinner/next day.
We went before the show at Opry. Our server was great, and the menu is a good variety, everyone can find something.
Entertainment was very good. Singing was very professional and the sound was set perfect to listen with good quality but not too loud to be able to talk to other guest in our party. Very well balanced. Food was excellent especially the brisket. Drinks were good but alcohol content weak. Taste great otherwise. Very good value for the Nashville area. We would recommend to anyone looking for a very enjoyable experience.
Some menu items seemed overpriced for the portion size, although tastes were very fine.
Birthday weekend with the sisters, dinner before the Grand Ole Opry show. Overall a nice experience, the wait staff also perform if they have the opportunity. James dang happy birthday for us, acapella and it was amazing.
Nice place poor service
Food was great, service was great...and live music was fantastic! Very nice experience overall!
Great meal and entertainment it’s just along way from the Opry if walking!
Great music and live singer! I wish before the band came on the music in the restaurant was louder. Food was great!!!!
They did one live song from the “singing waiters” wish they had done more—that would have lived up the ambience and give. A higher rating. Otherwise it just felt like a normal hotel restaurant. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.
This was recommended online as a good place to eat before an Opry show—not sure who it made the list aside from its name...?
I would recommend for the tourists as that is what it is .... our Server was fantastic and kept us informed of the tours arriving so we could put in our order!
Southern food? The food was just OK, the atmosphere was a big letdown. They're was no performance while we were there. It just felt like a standard restaurant that islocated in a hotel.
I loved the singing waitress Tracy Carroll
The food was good except the coleslaw, needed more flavor
The food and service was fantastic. Would definitely be going back again.
We waited forever to be waited on after we were seated. Food was overrated for the price. Not worth the trouble.
Food was mediocre. One of our guests had to return her order twice because they messed up her order. One of our guests ordered a salad that was warmer than the chicken. I would not recommend this place.
The food was excellent and so was the service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Opry Backstage Grill. Definitely will visit again
Our service was great and we were very close to The Grand Ole Opry. The food was just ok. My husband's pork was tough and dry. My shrimp was good, but the grits weren't great. There aren't a lot of good choices in the area, so we would probably eat elsewhere then drive to the show as there are a lot of great Nashville restaurants.
The restaurant was decorated nicely, very cozy.
The food was delicious, great value.
However; the glorified kareokee performances by servers who had the night off, freaking horrific.
The restaurant was nice we had chosen it from the reviews however found the food to be mediocre. The waitress had made the recommendations for the food we chose however the sides were sub-par. The baked beans tasted like they came from a can, the macaroni and cheese was the same and the mashed potatoes had minimal seasoning. I would recommend this place to those who are looking for a place which serves mediocre food not homemade seasoned foods.
This restaurant was so refreshing! The prices were reasonable and the portions were large (after eating a few times at Opryland hotel it was a welcome change!) We are a gluten free family with 2 celiac daughters so it was nice to have a full gluten free menu. They did by mistake deliver me a soup that had croutons so when I asked if they were gluten free they quickly whisked it away and brought me a fresh one.
Low end dining; think Denny's. Nice people, just not what we expected. Good service, food below average.
It was pouring rain and it was nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. We made a reservation and it was an easy wait to sit. Our waitress Gracie was very nice and attentive. We had the fried chicken plate. The baked beans were good. I didn't care for the mac and cheese. I recommend you to go try it out.
The atmosphere was good but the food left much to be desired. the chicken was more bones than meat. The order was incorrect, in that two of the sides were switched on the plates. It was rather pricey for the quantity and quality.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is great and the people are friendly, but don't expect great food.
Great meal and great service. Dustin was our waiter and also a performer. Neat concept! Music all around Nashville is a real treat. Good portions at a value price.
Pleasantly how good the food was much better than other hotels in the area. Comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Very nice staff our waiter Joslin was really good. Free musical entertainment not too loud so we could still carryon a conversation.
We enjoyed the entertainment, Brassfield Band, but the food was just okay.
Great meal before the Opry, quick service and good food.
