Opry Backstage Grill at The Inn at Opryland
Sample homestyle dishes made from fresh, locally and regionally-harvested ingredients or tempting selections from our smoker for lunch and dinner.
Not unlike being backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, diners can relax and share good food and good times in a comfortable atmosphere, surrounded by friends and great country music.
Awesome Service, Brian is Great !, Awesome Food, and the music was wonderful... Audra is a STAR!!
Everything was great! Loved the band, but the desserts need improvement.
Great food, but we thought there would be live music and there wasn't. It was about 5pm on a Wednesday.
Arrived early for our reservation and were told we would have to wait 20 minutes. We asked about sitting at the bar to have a beverage and they said they wouldn't serve us for 20 minutes. Restaurant was empty but they had a party of 60 arriving shortly, which only filled half the restaurant. After 20 minutes they seated us. Beverage was small, food was mediocre and the only reason its worth any stars would be that our sever was a gem.
I wish we knew the entire room was filled with teenagers it was awful after eating they should have left they had no respect I think we were the only others in there I paid the Bill and I was not happy we had a party of five and couldn't hear a thing I would have preferred music to Ge pipped in. Lots of staff hanging around. Surely the worst experience our entire trip! Next time I'll look closer to whose in the dining room!i would warn others to do the same. The money I spent was probably more than three or four others tables. I had to apologize to my family. Our server was awesome. I wanted to speak to the manager but just wanted to get the heck out of there!!!!
Get the Ribs or any BBQ dish.. the best
A pleasant surprise, a delicious mid range meal, excellent meatloaf. The live music was a plus, not too loud.
Brian was our Awesome Server. He is friendly and attentive! He also offered suggestions, as a few of us were first time diners. His direction proved to be a great recommendation! Plus he is fantastic singer! We had a great time there!
Great food and service! The only disappointment is that the music doesn't start until 7 pm. Music should start at 5 pm or at least start by 6 pm. for early dining.
The Fried chicken smelt like fish. Asked the waitress about it and blow off like there was nothing wrong. Still paid full price. Manager didnt say anything until I asked about it.
Delicious lunch (we even went back for dinner!) and outstanding service by Nadia. The pimento cheese & chicken sandwich as well as the smoked brisket sandwich are crave worthy! Dinner was the bbq “sampler”. A half pound each of smoked ribs, brisket, and pork. They smoke their meats in house ..outstanding. If only they offered their wings appetizer smoked! Can’t go wrong eating here. We’ll be back next time we’re in Nashville, for sure!
We were visiting Nashville and staying in the suburbs and the hotel employee who checked us in recommended this restaurant. In addition to the good food, the value, and the service the wait staff also entertained you by singing some songs during the evening. As we were leaving at 8 PM people were still coming in to have dinner. If you are in the area I would highly recommend this restaurant
Maria was an excellent service provider. Didn't make us feel rushed. Very nice experience all around.
We really enjoyed the evening enough that we are returning 2 days later.
Delicious food with excellent entertainment. We saw TJ Carter and Band perform and they were first rate! Best value in Nashville.
No live music as advertised also service was ok,but being told by the waitress that as we were not from the US we had to leave an 18% tip and that she had worked out how much it was very patronising but in hindsight she done herself out of a couple of extra dollars
not much traffic at 4pm in a saturday. No singing waiters but service and food Nice
The food was delicious and our server was fantastic. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and found it had a mayo dressing. She told the server that she was allergic to mayo and they brought her a brand new one very fast.
Expected a singing waiter! Food was okay, just average. Service was good.
Food was great. Waitress not very talkative.
BBQ is not good, none of it. 8 of us ate there. 1 person was happy with their food
Great Food, Staff & Ambiance. Great for a reasonable dinner before the Opry Show. Highly Recommend.
Goid food, friendly service and the price was very reasonable.
Our waitress, Alejandra, was very friendly and welcoming. My husband and I had ribs and brisket, my daughter, who is vegan, had the kale salad and said it was outstanding.
We were at this restaurant once before, about 4 years ago, and came back because we enjoyed the food and the entertainment. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Good food, the singer that night was also our server. Fun atmosphere!
Food was mediocre, service was slow, location showed outdoor seating, however, it was a covered and screened area facing the parking lot. The music was great though and they had a shuttle to the Grand Opry
Excellent food, good service and convenient. Music was good.
Ordered the fried chicken and you could tell it was fried in the catfish oil. It was terrible, fishy and didnt taste like chicken at all. (Which is strange because a lot of things taste like chicken...) Rest of the food was mediocre at best. Fried green tomatoes were decent.
Waitress was super sweet, cool spot, bad food and pricey.
Gray live music and good bbq
Great place to dine, food was amazing . Atmosphere and opry theme really made it great
Fast seating and great atmosphere! The service was great and the food was amazing! The brisket was amazing! Was little to early for the live music but we will definitely be back in the future.
The food was very average. They did have a lot of gluten free options. The brownie with ice cream was very good. Expensive for such average food.
We ordered the buffalo dip for an appetizer. It came out and the chicken almost looked like it had a blue tint. Not good at all. A couple of people got the shrimp and grits and the shrimp seemed chewy. Grits were not good. Overall the food just wasn’t good.
Everything besides the food was great! The food really lacked flavor. I'd say that people are more likely to come here not for the food, but for the atmosphere.
Very enjoyable experience. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server, Dustin, was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. Restaurant was clean and atmosphere was relaxing. The food was superb. Definitely our new “go-to” place when we’re in Nashville.
The food was delicious. We were early so the restaurant was pretty empty. There was an aspiring country music singer who sang us a few ditties. She was fun. There’s also videos that play clips from past Grand Ole Opry performances. That was fun since we were heading to the Opry later.
This was our second visit to Opry Backstage Grill while staying at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Our first visit, with Brian as our server, was a much better experience. The food was excellent! Highly recommend you save room for dessert and order the pecan pie (heated of course). Will definitely return on our next visit to Nashville.
Entertainment was nice however loud. Food average but you don’t have to fight the crowds at the Opryland Hotel or Opry Mills Mall.
I absolutely LOVE the Opry Backstage Grill. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for Ambiance and a moderate energy level is because, on previous visits the wait staff and others have gotten on stage to perform and were AMAZING. I was a little disappointed that didn't happen this time, but as always, the food was great. It's inexpensive for the area with large portions and something for everyone.
Great service and amazing food every time. Hidden gem in Music Valley !
I can't fault it at all highly recommend
