Opry Backstage Grill at The Inn at Opryland
Sample homestyle dishes made from fresh, locally and regionally-harvested ingredients or tempting selections from our smoker for lunch and dinner.
Not unlike being backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, diners can relax and share good food and good times in a comfortable atmosphere, surrounded by friends and great country music.
Gray live music and good bbq
Great place to dine, food was amazing . Atmosphere and opry theme really made it great
Fast seating and great atmosphere! The service was great and the food was amazing! The brisket was amazing! Was little to early for the live music but we will definitely be back in the future.
The food was very average. They did have a lot of gluten free options. The brownie with ice cream was very good. Expensive for such average food.
We ordered the buffalo dip for an appetizer. It came out and the chicken almost looked like it had a blue tint. Not good at all. A couple of people got the shrimp and grits and the shrimp seemed chewy. Grits were not good. Overall the food just wasn’t good.
Everything besides the food was great! The food really lacked flavor. I'd say that people are more likely to come here not for the food, but for the atmosphere.
Very enjoyable experience. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server, Dustin, was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. Restaurant was clean and atmosphere was relaxing. The food was superb. Definitely our new “go-to” place when we’re in Nashville.
The food was delicious. We were early so the restaurant was pretty empty. There was an aspiring country music singer who sang us a few ditties. She was fun. There’s also videos that play clips from past Grand Ole Opry performances. That was fun since we were heading to the Opry later.
This was our second visit to Opry Backstage Grill while staying at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Our first visit, with Brian as our server, was a much better experience. The food was excellent! Highly recommend you save room for dessert and order the pecan pie (heated of course). Will definitely return on our next visit to Nashville.
Entertainment was nice however loud. Food average but you don’t have to fight the crowds at the Opryland Hotel or Opry Mills Mall.
I absolutely LOVE the Opry Backstage Grill. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for Ambiance and a moderate energy level is because, on previous visits the wait staff and others have gotten on stage to perform and were AMAZING. I was a little disappointed that didn't happen this time, but as always, the food was great. It's inexpensive for the area with large portions and something for everyone.
Great service and amazing food every time. Hidden gem in Music Valley !
I can't fault it at all highly recommend
That is one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville. Great food, service, and music 🎶
Server was attentive. Food was great and reasonably priced. The entertainment was live, interactive and awesome. The noise level was comfortable for dinner conversation. We'll be back!
It was really good our server was awesome
We had a great meal. Our waitress was very good. My only complaint was there were a few groups of women in the restaurant that were extremely loud and rude while the band was playing or talking. I wish management would have addressed that. Other than that, it was a great experience. The band was great too! I wish I could remember their names as well as our waitress.
The food was absolutley amazing, the restaurant was beautiful, I love the fact that they have a stage and their employees sing. We went on my mother's birthday and surprised her by singing her happy birthday and bringing her a huge delicious slice of chocolate cake topped with whipped cream, strawberries, and a candle! Best of all it really wasn't that expensive and you can dress causally
I realize that this place has been around for quite awahile and has an interesting background. I ordered the fried chicken dinner which consited of a small breast and one wing. It was cooked well , but not as good as the fried chicken you can get from Kroger or Publix. My Italian string beans were so over cooked that they melted in you mouth without chewing. My mashed potatoes were very good. My wife ordered the ribeye steak which consisted of 40% fat and gristle and 60% meat. it was cooked perfectly but way too thin to provide a good steak experience. The service was VG and our server was very nice and attentive. Over all I give it 3 stars.
We went for the singing servers, we were there for 1.5 hours and there was no singing. It was very disappointing!
27th anniversary trip
The food was delicious and it was fun to listen to the music played by the waitress and waiter!!!
We were there for an early supper and everything was great. Very clean and good food. I recommend the ribs.
It was average. The food was ok, decent service, but nothing remarkable. I would suggest the Bluebird Cafe or smithing down town if your looking for better music / food.
The service was unfriendly. (Older woman) Was rude to us and didn’t check on us until the very end when she brought our check. Did not fill up our drinks once. However, the two workers at the front desk were very nice.
We ate an early dinner at about 5:30. I was expecting live music but there was none. Just TVs playing recordings of past Opry performances. I had the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, tater tots & mac n cheese. The tater tots were the only thing I enjoyed. The rest I barely ate and what I did I had to choke down. My husband got a burger and fries which was average. I was really looking forward for the experience but it was a pretty big let down.
We made reservations and were seated without delay. The server was excellent, brought our drinks right away and returned promptly to get our orders. The food was out of this world delicious and the entertainment was fantastic! We had everything from ribs to shrimp with grits (fabulous and tasty). My sister and her husband were visiting from San Francisco, the land of NO country music (unfortunately). They thoroughly enjoyed their experience and thought the band was just great!
We were there after a show at the Opry where they touted the restaurant. It took 30 minutes for service and it wasn’t packed. There was a so-so band playing and they seated us right in front of it so there was no talking and our waiter couldn’t hear us. We had asked to be seated outside but there was a private party. One member of our party had the catfish and apparently it was great. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
Great live music, fantastic food and drinks. The service was top notch. Next time I'm in Nashville I will be back.
Food was very good. Waiter was exceptionally helpful.
Hotel was great. Not impressed with food. It didn't look. I did eat it and not complain. The waitress was super amazing big time. I would try it another time one day.
Sat and waited 10 minutes before a server came to the table and asked for a drink order. Manager who brought out the food didn’t notice that the wrong salad dressing was with the salad - ordered ranch and brought out blew cheese. Over priced for the quality of food.
service was amazing and all for a great price. Will definitely be back
The waiter staff has many singers and they rotate onto the stage. They pace it with breaks between singers, so you can easily talk. Nice format. We liked the BBQ. Good Southern or country themes are in both music and food. This was our first time and we will be back.
We were happy with our server and our food, but very disappointed with the floor manager who refused to seat our friends at an empty table next to ours. He put them in another room! He was a bit rude, so my friends left. Big mistake!
Not at all what I expected. This was listed as a top 10 to dine at if going to the GOO. Must be strictly due to location. This is an everyday diner. Most diners were over 70 and on a bus tour. Singing wait staff is “interesting “. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Surely there is another option close to GOO.
They had no record of my reservation but was still able to seat us. Food was good. I enjoyed the singing waiters.
We went to the restaurant early as to make a show at the Grand ole Opry, so the ambiance was pretty quiet and none of the waiters or waitresses got up to sing . Food was delicious. I would go again.
Very enjoyable thank you. We are from Canada and loved everything
Good food and music. Waitress was attentive and kept the drinks full. Food came out as expected. Music was great as well.
