Food ok, service was terrible. Waiter (Douglas)disappeared when the rain started so we had to find seats inside lost a couple glasses of wine.
When you charge prices like this, the service should be exceptional.

You cannot beat the ambiance here! We went at sunset and had the most gorgeous pink skies right on the water. The food was also amazing - we loved the eggplant crepes, the scallops and the salmon. Also my grandfather said the filet was “outstanding” and he is a tough critic. Would highly recommend!

I ordered the lobster dish and my lobster was well over cooked. Most of it was extremely chewy. It took me quite a bit of time after the dinner with a lot of floss to get it out of my teeth. That did not leave the best feeling for me.

We ate outside and the view was great. The food was awesome. We had the crab cakes best on the island. My wife had the lobster tortellini and I had the scallops in a crab and lobster sauce topped with caviar. Our favorite restaurant on Siesta Key.

We heard about the spectacular food from other reviews and were not disappointed!!! This was by far the best meal of our vacation, made better by the outstanding service from Dana— she knew the menu very well and made excellent recommendations! Thanks and we will be back!

We had an awesome eggplant crepe appetizer and various seasonal fish entrees! Everything was excellent!

Another enjoyable dinner. One difference this time was a weeding reception was also being held at the same time and non of the wedding party were wearing masks or social distancing. That was a surprise.

Absolutely recommend Ophelias on The Bay! Everything was superb. From the signature drinks to the Mussels appetizer, the yellowfin tuna and the surf and turf. Very well prepared and quite delicious. Our server, Alena was fantastic, amiable and chatty. We loved it. A tad expensive but worth every penny.

Great food as always. The seafood selections were delicious as well as the Venison chops on christmas day. Yum!!!. Ty.

It was a perfect New Years - from the valet greeting us in the road, a warm greeting at the desk and a friendly and personable and efficient waitress- everyone made us feel welcomed and special. The food was perfect and the prices were not increased because it was New Years.

Great outdoor New Year’s Eve celebration on the water with family. Delicious filet and scallops as our entrees. Also loved the foie gras! Paired our meals with Flowers rose and Ridge Zinfandel Paso Robles.

As usual, Ophelia’s did not disappoint us. My husband and I have been eating there for 10+ years and on this visit our son and his girlfriend joined us. Everyone loved their choice of entree. Our waitress was wonderful as well. We will continue to dine there and bring visitors with us.

Four adults ordered 5 meals ( we shared the lazy lobster) and every meal was amazing. My filet had the most amazing taste.

All employees masked and tables placed safely away from others. Service was excellent. Food was delicious and cooked to order. Valet parking was efficient as well.

If you’re going out for an extraordinary meal and are willing to pay for it, this is the place to go. Amazing food, beautiful view, great service (thanks Sylvia!). My only complaint is that the tables were too close. It’s a pandemic folks!

Down to Florida over Christmas vacation. This was our second time eating there and it was as good as the first time. The ambience is superb as well!

We dined here on Christmas Day... we had an amazing server, great atmosphere... everyone wearing masks and felt they really went the extra step with keeping things clean per-covid times. Our food was amazing, i had the tuna and my husband had the sea bass... both wonderful. I just love this place and we will be back soon!

Lovely ambiance but for all days to be so cold only 1 heat lamp to take the.chill off 4 tables outside. Fully booked so no chance to sit under cover. Our server was fantastic. The lamb I ordered medium rare was medium but tasty. Not sure I would go back as many other restaurants in Sarasota were much better.

We went for Christmas Eve dinner. The restaurant did a great job spacing the tables out. The food was tremendous as always. Service was great. The asian pear mojito is the best drink. Always get a great meal here.

We enjoyed the evening. However, they need to know how to prep oysters rockefeller. They did not detach the oyster from the shell making it hard to dig into it. Also, the main meal was delicious (Snapper), nice presentation, but when my wife ended up with a 5 inch long hair in the sweet potatoe, she could not finish her meal. They were nice enough to take the meal off our bill. We have eaten here before, and will return for that special occasion.

We highly recommend Ophelia's. It is a beautiful place right on the water with excellent food, pricey but worth it! The waitstaff was topnotch, polite and efficient. We were allowed to share a Caesar salad, and by the way, if you are a bread fan, it is to die for!

Lovely meal on patio - food and service were exceptional.

We have had many excellent experiences at Ophelias but this was not one of them. While the food was very good when we arrived we were seated at a table for 8 and when we objected we were told there were no outdoor tables available unless we would agree to surrender our table in an hour. This despite requesting outside seating when we made the reservation weeks before. We wound up accepting a table inside and received no apology for the mix up.

My husband and I will certainly be back! We just moved to Sarasota and Ophelia’s was recommended to us. We loved the restaurant! Incredible food, fabulous service and gorgeous ambiance on the water.

Our waiter took care of us and treated us like royalty, this was some of the most amazing food I’ve tried in the area and while it seems expensive it is sooo worth it.

As always, we enjoyed another excellent meal Ophelia's.....the 8 oz filet melted in your mouth, the duck was perfectly prepared, and the snapper awesome.
