Ophelia's Electric Soapbox
Music schedule and ticket purchases can be found at opheliasdenver.com
Ophelia’s has taken many forms: located in the historic 1894-era Victorian Airedale building, it was a brothel, turned peep show, turned adult video library.
We serve as a restaurant, bar, and live music venue, with a boudoir-style
décor that honors the building’s past; and Ophelia, the muse. Continuing the Edible Beats tradition of delicious, responsibly-sourced food, the upscale, gastrobrothel-inspired menu will include fresh, craveable takes on flatbread
pizza, small plates, burgers, and shareable charcuterie boards.
What Insiders Are Saying
For a brunch with live music, go to Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in the Highlands.
Bartender/Manager, Paul, went out of his way to make me a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu anymore! The food is always creativ, unique and one of kind
Great appetizers, drinks moderately priced and entertainment
Motown Mondays are awesome - great music and the dancefloor is open.
We had a wonderful time.
My wife and I had reservations for the Amy Winehouse tribute. We also made reservations for pre-show dinner. We were seated at a rail counter with partial view of the stage. Excellent food and service.
This place was perfection!! The food was a knockout, the sangria was today for and our server was a dreamboat! I will go back here 100x more!
I love how fresh the food is and that they offer vegan options! Also the staff is always very friendly.
Good food and cool vibe. Service was great and friendly.
We had brunch on Sunday. The band was The Patient Zeros. The music was very loud, as expected. But it was fun and the food was fantastic! Our service was great and I will go next time I’m in Denver.
Great Service, Great Band, Great Food, Great Ambience, Great Waitress, & Great Fun!!!
We had the bison burgers which were amazing! Great spot to celebrate or have a fun night out. Service was excellent and the ambiance had a fun vibe.
Ophelia’s lives up to the hype! Love it here!
I loved the ambiance of this place! It was so unique and fun. The food and service were great too. One of my new favorite places :)
Food was pre-made so you couldn't do any modifications to fit dietary preferences - or maybe our server didn't want to. Music ambiance is fantastic.
Super hip, super fun, music venue. Went for brunch. The food was good and reasonably priced, but go for the ambiance and the music. The staff were all very friendly and the Bloody Mary's were good. What more can one ask?
We had a wonderful brunch for my husband's birthday and then went on to the Rockies game. Excellent service, very attentive with the bottomless mimosas and the food was excellent. Really top notch all around. I highly recommend Ophelias for bluegrass brunch and intend to go for an evening show too.
I've been here many times and it has gotten progressively worse. My order was wrong 3 times and our service was horrible. It wasn't even busy I don't know why our server was so bad and the cooks couldn't get it right.
Is a great place to meet with friends and experience something different the service was great
Totally amazing food with an equally excellent atmosphere!
Found our new local! What an amazing spot. Great service and even better food. Loved the tunes. Will be back... again and again and again!
My husband and I had the best time here! The food is different from anything we have had, and delicious. The ambiance was fantastic. We went on Motown Monday and loved it! I would recommend reserving a table for optimal views. We are very glad we did.
Got the window seat and had a little sun on me so that made me happy to start. Other than that it’s a dark spot.
Enjoyed the fish special, which I can’t remember what it was, and the Service was on spot.
They typically never read my requests in the comments section prior to eating there, but they FINALLY did. Happy with experience, and the fact they listened to prior requests. Dinner is MUCH better than brunch.
We came here at an off time (about 6pm on a Sunday) with a couple of kids and friends from out of town. The live music was great (they gave us earplugs for the kids, a very nice touch since the kids wanted them), the atmosphere is fantastic, the service was surprisingly fantastic, and the food was really impressive--two notches above what we would expect. Like the lamb gyro with shaved pieces of actual lamb, not the pressed stuff. Fantastically caramelized plantains, etc. We will definitely come again.
Too noisy on Saturday night. You can't have a conversation. The food was ok.
The small plates too small for the price.
Food order was wrong. Food quality was average. Server Jenny was fantastic- not her fault food came out wrong. Loved 80’s night dj and dancing!
Great experience. The greeter was able to squeeze us in after I misread my booking reservation for Sunday, versus Saturday. We danced in the aisle to 80s music and ate great food.
Got table right in the top middle and had a great time people watching who were dancing to the show. Food and drinks were very good. Lots of energy. Fun place.
What a great place to eat, drink, hang out and more! Funky & eclectic...we will be back! Food is awesome!
Great venue with outstanding food. The service was not nearly as good as we expected. We were there to have dinner and see a show. Our food server didn't seem to really know what was in cocktails and was lack luster in his service. The front desk, after telling us they'd bring us wristbands for the show, never stopped by so we had to go back and pick them up ourselves. Given the cost and caliber of the food and beverages, I would have expected much better service. Great venue for a fun evening just don't expect them to take good care of you.
Time with my daughter and friends during Fathers Day.
Loud and awful band. Food was fine and waitress was great. Noisy, dark and gloomy place. They replaced the band with a kung fu movie... Won't be back
The ambiance of Ophelia's Electric Soapbox is very cool - definitely not for families, since it is a former brothel and peepshow, but vintage and unique. We ate out on the patio, which was partially shaded and lovely for brunch - I think the interior, while extremely cool for dinner and drinks, would be too dark for brunch. The portions are quite small for the amount that you pay - my partner was hungry a couple hours later - but the food was delicious. I had the creme brûlée skillet french toast, and I'm still thinking about it.
Such a great place, from the moment we walked in to departure. I kept looking back at it when we were leaving, thinking: I have found my Go To for Really Good menu, location, comfort, fun fun fun clientele AND servers. And my chef son loved it, and that’s sayin’ something!!
This place was so fun!!! Food was really good, fun drinks, and the dueling pianos were fantastic! We took our 17 and 22 year old kids, and we all had so much fun.
Ingredient combining was a delight to our taste buds! Best plantains I have ever had... I mean I ordered a second order. Really great music and staff too! Fun evening and very enjoyable.
Staff was super accommodating and very friendly! I hadn’t been there before I booked it for my brothers bachelor party, and the staff and experience were both so great it’ll be my go-to from now on!
For the ticket price, I thought there would be a little more than a dj and a girl dancing. However, the music selection was good for dancing and that was what we came to do. It's a really unique place and I plan to return asap.
Very cool and unique atmosphere. Food was also great.
Great atmospheric food! Highly recommend!
