Ophelia's Electric Soapbox
Music schedule and ticket purchases can be found at opheliasdenver.com
Ophelia’s has taken many forms: located in the historic 1894-era Victorian Airedale building, it was a brothel, turned peep show, turned adult video library.
We serve as a restaurant, bar, and live music venue, with a boudoir-style
décor that honors the building’s past; and Ophelia, the muse. Continuing the Edible Beats tradition of delicious, responsibly-sourced food, the upscale, gastrobrothel-inspired menu will include fresh, craveable takes on flatbread
pizza, small plates, burgers, and shareable charcuterie boards.
What Insiders Are Saying
For a brunch with live music, go to Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in the Highlands.
Ophelia’s was great! I’ve been wanting to come here for over a year since I first heard about it and all expectations were met. Beware food comes in smaller portions (so don’t come starving) but the service, entertainment and overall dining experience was awesome. It’s a great intimate dining experience for for couples to watch live local music.
I had walked by Ophelia’s and always thought this place was a bar/venue but to my surprise they also serve food...made a reservation for brunch and it was amazing! I love the layout of the place. Got sat at one of the two-person booths that looks down onto the stage (there was a live music performer with cool beats). My gin version of a Bloody Mary was delish (aka Red Snapper). I opted to try the special of the day which was biscuits smothered in a chorizo gravy with fried chicken and a fried egg...best decision ever! It was so good I didn't leave a single spec of food. Definitely satisfied my brunch needs. Can't wait to visit this place at night.
Brought friends from out of town because we love this place and loved Flamenco brunch. Yesterday, however, was embarrassing and mortifying as the Jazz brunch talent was miserable. At least we know his name and will avoid that at all costs. Still love the place but it’s going to take some time to get over that.
Service was absolutely terrible...food was good however!
I booked this restaurant for our date/city night during it vacation to Denver. The space is very cool and relaxed with a good bit of people watching and a giant screen which, that night featured Soul Train videos and 80’s commercials. We were really excited about our table location which was directly overlooking a dance floor on the floor below. We had great drinks and appetizers and ended up staying for the super fun 80’s dance party that evening. It was a great pick for a fun night out! The crowd was fun and welcoming.
We had amazing service, our server was amazing and so kind to us. The food was incredible and the music was such a good addition. 10/10!!
A definite gem! Food, service, and ambiance were excellent.
Loved this place! So much fun, fantastic service, terrific food. Risque ambiance, amazing setup for live band and Dave Halchak was super. Price for food maybe a bit high but worth it for a great experience.
Most unique, cool brunch place ever. Will definitely go back.
We loved the whole feel of this place. But unfortunately our eating experience wasn't that great. The service was not good. We waited over 20 minutes for our first cocktail and 30 minutes to order. When we received our meals they were OK. I had the lamb gyro....which I didn't care for at all. The meat was thin and fatty. Plus it was very hard to eat as the pita was stuffed. My husband had the buffalo burger. Tasted great but came smashed on the plate. We stayed to watch a band. We love the band and have seen them elsewhere. But the sound here was just not great. Very hard to hear the singer. So...cool vibe. Could have just been an off night. But overall we were disappointed.
Absolutely loved our delicuous meal and super server Allison!! The Goonies were extremely wonderful too!! Coming ack for Brunch!!
Always a delight, Ophelia's is one of our go-to's for innovative and delicious savory goodness.
BEST chicken and waffles EVER!!!!
The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is so fun. It’s a perfect place to take friends or family or just to have a drink. I only go at brunch so I can’t speak to the dinner menu, but the brunch food is amazing and having live music with your meal adds so much to the experience!
YALL. This was one of those meant to be nights. We drove into town from KC and Ophelia’s was one of the recommended restaurants nearby. So we booked a table not really knowing what to expect. Honestly, we were blown away. Paige was our server (she was amazing!) and we started with the Green Chile Cornbread and Adobo Chicken Tostadas, and had the Chicken & Waffles and Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
Ok so yeah the food was awesome, but we weren’t expecting a full on concert. We had dinner on a Friday night and they have live music both Friday & Saturday. It was INCREDIBLE. Such a sweet surprise after driving all day.
Ophelia’s will definitely be on our must-visit list on our future trips.
This is a bump in place to grab dinner. Especially from someone who loves history, music, and food.
This was a very pleasant surprise—- we haven’t spent time in downtown Denver before. So looking for great restaurants in a new town is always a challenge— Ophelia’s showed up on most every site as a wonderful place. Many times this is a red flag to me —- “most popular” doesn’t often transfer into a good restaurant for us —- but this was not the case here. Great atmosphere— old brothel —- fun vibe — lotsa action and people watching —- and don’t let the simple menu put u off — tho it might b a chicken sandwich or burger or flatbread —- everything had great layers of flavor —— soo go for the atmosphere— food —- vibe —- and live music —- oh and checking out soul train videos was cool too !! Nice job guys
Interesting place, great food and cocktails. Adult themed, so not really for young families
Everyone was very nice and helpful, took 45 minutes to get the food, and the food was mediocre. I remember a great meal here a few years ago so was disappointed.
Great food and service. Waiter was very helpful/knowledgeable, in choosing from food and wine from menu.
This is a great establishment. Unfortunately my reservation was messed up and I was moved several times. The staff went out of their way to try to fix the situation, but it was unfixable because all the seats were filled. Unfortunately my snapper dish was off as well. I would definitely give it second shot though.
Our food was beyond delicious, the server very pleasant, and drinks perfect. The fun atmosphere, cute patio, and relaxing entertainment made the experience unforgettable.
The ambiance was nice but it was too loud for conversation. My food was good but small portion. 3 others with me liked their meals. Lighting was too dim to see what 2 entrees looked like!
Solid location and ambience! Customer service was on point. Was a bit disappointed in the amount of food received for the price...just one triangle of waffle for the chicken n waffle dish...that’s a starter.
I don't know when loud music became a thing for brunch, but my friends and I just wanted to talk and catch up and we just had to sit and stare at each other most of the time. The food was good - my friends rated their dishes from good to really good. The service was also good but the waiter had a hard time hearing us because of the loud music. I probably won't go back.
Service and food were great however the DJ music got too loud once it started and it was hard to carry a conversation with my friend right next to me while having dinner. We were shouting in order to communicate and this was a bit stressful.
Absolutely will be back. The service was fantastic. The bartenders Ky and Eliah were phenomenal and took such great care of us. Deliciously refreshing drinks and food that made our mouths happy!
Amazing food and atmosphere
Amazing location and food!
I had a good time there. My order was a little messed up because the waitress didn't hear what I said as the music was just a touch too loud. Other than that my wife and I enjoyed ourselves and will certainly return.
What a cool place! Brunch was very good-lots of creative options to go with the eclectic atmosphere. The live music at 10:30 in the morning was a nice touch! Try to grab a table on the main floor looking down at the stage, it’s a great view. Friendly service.
Brings you back to days of youth. Beautiful decor and intimate setting. Still trying to place the guests and songs on "Soul Train" episodes (not that easy without sound). Food fits the atmosphere, spicy and delicious.
Loved our waiter Jason! He's awesome. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was sexy and fun.
This was such a fun spot for brunch. There was live music and the food was great. Our server never made us feel rushed. The bottomless mimosas were fantastic.
We are SO glad to have imbibed at Ophelia's and will return! Our waiter, Jason, was stellar. Our Mimosa's were super! Our breakfast was heavenly. Our experience was memorable!
The food was so good. Band was fun to listen to. Great experience. Cant wait to go again.
Loved the food. The wait staff were attentive, helpful but not intrusive. I and my friend felt the music was excessively loud; beyond what was necessary for a brunch venue. It could have been brought down a few decibels and still would have been fun. For this reason, I would hesitate recommending this place again.
This was the second time I have been there. The food is amazing, service is excellent but will not be back til late fall or winter because it is hot as hell in there. No or little AC plus a few doors open equals uncomfortable eating environment and a ton of flies.
This place came recommended by our hotel bartender as a great brunch spot. It had excellent reviews online and I can see why. Such a cool and unique spot. The drinks and food are delicious with creative selections. We ordered the French toast, The Rueben-like sandwich with fried egg, and the green eggs and prosciutto flatbread. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I don’t think they have a bad dish on the menu. The live entertainment was also awesome... mixture of jazz and soul. The venue has wonderful seating as well - lots of energy… Lots of people watching… You could stay here for hours! Love this spot and a new fave.
