Ophelia's Electric Soapbox
Music schedule and ticket purchases can be found at opheliasdenver.com
Ophelia’s has taken many forms: located in the historic 1894-era Victorian Airedale building, it was a brothel, turned peep show, turned adult video library.
We serve as a restaurant, bar, and live music venue, with a boudoir-style
décor that honors the building’s past; and Ophelia, the muse. Continuing the Edible Beats tradition of delicious, responsibly-sourced food, the upscale, gastrobrothel-inspired menu will include fresh, craveable takes on flatbread
pizza, small plates, burgers, and shareable charcuterie boards.
What Insiders Are Saying
For a brunch with live music, go to Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in the Highlands.
This place was so fun!!! Food was really good, fun drinks, and the dueling pianos were fantastic! We took our 17 and 22 year old kids, and we all had so much fun.
Ingredient combining was a delight to our taste buds! Best plantains I have ever had... I mean I ordered a second order. Really great music and staff too! Fun evening and very enjoyable.
Staff was super accommodating and very friendly! I hadn’t been there before I booked it for my brothers bachelor party, and the staff and experience were both so great it’ll be my go-to from now on!
For the ticket price, I thought there would be a little more than a dj and a girl dancing. However, the music selection was good for dancing and that was what we came to do. It's a really unique place and I plan to return asap.
Very cool and unique atmosphere. Food was also great.
Great atmospheric food! Highly recommend!
We went for brunch and it was amazing! The creme brûlée French toast was to die for, the blood orange bottomless mimosas were perfect and the BBQ pork eggs Benedict was fantastic. Listening to live music at brunch was the icing on the cake. I would beat a path here every weekend to try everything on the menu if I lived here!
Fun ambience, great food, and a wide variety of entertainment. The venue really adds to the experience.
Interesting place for dinner, especially since we were not there to listen to the band. Simple menu, drinks were goodand food was delicious.
Great place for date night. The food was awesome as well as the atmosphere. If you love seafood, get the Red Snapper entree. It will not disappoint!
Historically this has been my favorite Denver restaurant. The decor is cool, the staff is amazing, very energetic vibe. But on our recent visit I felt insulted by the quality of the food and angry that we spent so much money on it. The cornbread was precooked and barely reheated. Just dry and stale. The hummus was runny and weird. The vegetables with it were rubbery and not fresh. The peppers were greasy and boring. The sliders were cold and bland. Highly recommend the salted caramel but it wasn’t enough to leave me satisfied. That kitchen needs higher standards.
This restaurant was much more than we expected. The food was fantastic and original. Drinks were great especially the Prisoner wine. The service amazing. Everything we ordered was exceptional. With the orders being small plates the entire table was sharing interesting food as it was delivered throughout the meal. What a fun place but also a delicious place for a meal.
The DJ was very loud, made for a slightly less enjoyable experience.
Loved it! Just wished there had been some Smiths-themed features/specials, with clever puns (like the name of the event itself).
Ophelia's once again blew me out of the water. This is one of my go-to brunch spots, I love the energy and the Bottomless Blood Orange Mimosa's. I was surprised with a breakfast burrito special, that had amazing flavor and wonderful presentation on a wood board with a spicy ranchero sauce. 10/10 Will always recommend to family & friends.
The chicken and waffles is exceptional!
birthday for my roommate
Food was different and delicious!!!
It was wonderful
A unique local gem. A definite "must experience,' when in Denver.
It was a belated birthday meet up for my friend as I was out of town at the time and our waitress could not have been any more of a kill joy if she tried. What makes the visit that much more sour is the you’re made to feel you have to tip - despite having received subpar service.
Amazing! Service was on par as always and atmosphere was fun and lively. One of my favorite spots!
Brunch here is FABULOUS!
I took my wide here for our first anniversary. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great as well, even for brunch. We never had to wait too long for someone and the music was something we liked. Will be coming back!
Ambiance and music were great as usual but this was my 5th visiting the restaurant, and my 5th unique meal from the menu and I think it’s safe to say the food just isn’t great, no matter the meal. Great place for a date to get drinks, maybe skip the food though.
This was my first time at Ophelia’s electric soapbox, and I brought a couple of out of towners, visiting from Atlanta. Everybody love the place and wants to come back
Food was amazing. We had everything including the snapper and it was fantastic. Server was very nice, but we were trying to buy good wine and champagne and she really didnt know enough to sell the expensive bottles.
It was ok. Not great but good. Old fashion was pure syrup had to get an extra shot.
Was our first time there. Food and atmosphere were great. Our server was quick and very pleasant. The "open mike" entertainment was poor at best..... but then you never know who will perform on an "open mike" night so that's not really the fault of the establishment. Still, we were disappointed. Next time we go it will be on a night there is a specific performer we know we like.
It was a very fun night, great food. Was there for open mic night, some were good, some were torturous.
Our food was amazing at Ophelia’s - very flavorful! However the service was mediocre – I understand it was extremely busy but I felt our server didn’t check in with us until we were well into our meal. Loved the music and the atmosphere – just not the location of our seats. The table was wobbly and the bench was extremely uncomfortable.
I love everything about Ophelia's. And listening to The Cure during a delicious brunch made me very very happy.
I love this establishment, I love the people who work here! Thank You yet again for making my night very memorable and taking care of me, as usual! I can't wait to come back again for another show/dinner.
Everything was excellent. Drinks, food, the music, the people. I cannot Thank You enough!!!
Cool, eclectic place with friendly staff and delicious food!
Wonderful time at Ophelia's. The music was perfect. Make reservations ahead of time for a great seat! Our food was slow, our friend who arrived after we ordered got his food before us and so we waited nearly an hour for the food. Bottomless mimosa's luckily kept us well entertained.
We love going here since the food is amazing. The live music is too loud for me because I cannot have a conversation at the table. Wish it just a little bit more quiet.
We made last minute reservations for Mother's Day. What a fantastic evening we had filled with great food and music. My mom and siblings were going into this venture somewhat negatively but they were sure glad they went when it was all said and done. I have been here before but you now have new fans. Thanks for turning a last minute panic into a raving success.
We have been to Ophelia's several times and we have never been disappointed.
We wanted something different for Mother's Day. Ophelia's is fun! Cute place, solid service. My husband and daughter's sandwiches were fantastic, mine was just fair. I had a great, assertive cocktail. Most restaurants with music are way too loud but we enjoyed Rascal Martinez and we were still able to talk to each other. Our 15 yo really enjoyed watching the band from seating one level above the stage. I'd go again!
Cool atmosphere, live music for brunch. Service was great. Order mixup was quickly resolved.
Chicken and waffles are very good as is the barbecues shrimp and grits.
