At Opah Restaurant & Bar, we serve the finest fresh fish in Orange County. Carefully hand selected each day to deliver the best quality available. Come in and enjoy the menu created by Marc A. Cohen, One of the Best Chef's in Orange County. The menu is exquisite, featuring edible works of art, that look so good the could be on a magazine cover. Dont forget to try one of our signature Award Winning Martinis, or have some wine outside near the fireplace on the patio. We offer live music for our patrons on certain nights as well to add to the dining experience. If you wondering how we came up with the name Opah. It comes from the Hawaiian word for Moonfish, which was once viewed as Good Luck by fisherman, & often given away as a gesture of Good Will.

Our waiter, Shawn, was superb with descriptions and recommendations. The manager truly was a credit to this great great restaurant. He was professional and helpful when our reservation could not be found. We sat at a nice table, enjoyed fine meals with our friends, one of whom celebrated her birthday 🎂. A delightful evening. Can’t wait to return. Hooray and cudos.

Excellent food, excellent service!
Must have asked us 6 times how everything was, the manager even came to see how happy we were. Not sure if I was getting special treatment due to using OpenTable, or they are always that way. Definitely will go again.

Here from Colorado, we felt welcome from the front door. Food was pleasingly different, Very Fresh. Server Corinne was delightful, attentive, not overbearing. Wish we hadn't felt chilly - ample patio looked inviting. Couldn't find a handicapped parking space, so walk was a little daunting after dark but a nice neighborhood. The side salad was unique and my husbands short rib +mashies was tender and very filling. We would definitely recommend Opah.

The food was outstanding, the service excellent and I am looking forward to going again and again. If you love seafood, be sure to try the ciopinno, which surely is the best I’ve ever had. The coconut butter cake is out of this world.

This used to be a favorite of ours before Soka events but the last two meals have disappointed even though the service was excellent. Both of us got fish & requested the fish cooked moist but it was dried out as were the potatoes. The dessert menu was not tempting but we shared a key lime pie with a weird meringue which came off of the lime part & could not be dislodged from my fork. The server did not charge us. My espresso was delicious. They say the menu is changing . Sure hope the quality of the preparation will improve as a result.

My husband had Halibut Fish-n-chips that was excellent. I had the mussels very good, there were not over cooked but very rich. I ordered the mussels off the happy hour menu— no difference from the dinner but saved $8.00. The service has always excellent, attentive, caring. The whole experience is what brings us back.

Food always looks great but tastes overly sweet- like they add sugar to their beef! And veggies always over salted- and next day I always have stomach issues.

We experienced some mediocre restaurants lately so we were delighted that Opah was the exception. The food was great and the service was perfect. We will definitely be returning

My husband and I went on New Years Eve for dinner and had an amazing time. We sat outside and the heat lamp kept us very comfortable. Our server was Sean and we had the best service. From drinks to desert everything was delicious, memorable and timely. Overall we had a great experience as always!

I have been to Opah several times and have always enjoyed my self. The energy and food are great. I came this time after a long hiatus, due to having my first baby, excited to have lunch with my friends and my new little one. Having been here pretty-baby, I know that this is not a kid friendly restaurant. I just can’t imagine I am the first person to go their with a little one and I was surprised to find no changing table in the women’s bathroom. While this personally won’t stop me from coming back to Opah, I was surprised to find this out and I will be prepared next time. I am not even sure if they have high chairs. I know they don’t have the slings for car seats, as I asked for one of them and the hostess didn’t even know if they had those and came to find they did not.

Price for portion served above my expectation for a bistro type food service establishment. There was no preseive value to justify the high price point...
FYI, Saffron in mussel order was not done the proper way in order to get more essensce and to bring out the saffron flavor, & I believe they use the Sysco bought Spanish saffron va. Authentic Persian saffron!

We had lunch at Opah on Christmas Eve. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. My husband loved the clam chowder, and my mother was thrilled with her fish and chips. Everyone agreed that the coconut cake was one of the best we ever had.

We ate here twice recently during what is usually a busy holiday season when service can vary. Both times food and service were great, and you still left feeling they not only served wonderful food but really paid attention to you. On the second occasion we brought our dog and they could not have been more accommodating on finding us a nice outside dining table. Both times the owner came by checking on us. This place is a winner.

Reservation produced a seat in the bar ( although someone said it was less noisy than the other side of the dinning room. )
Service was ok . No one ever told us about specials which I noticed above the bar after we had ordered. They were Very intent on clearing plates even if we were not done. Don’t dare put down your fork & talk. It will be removed!
Muscles in red curry was very good. Chicken meatball app was tasty. Wine choices were ok. Nothing great & slightly overpriced. I asked for “ lots of dressing” & was charged $2 extra. Salads were fresh.
Overall a good but not great experience.

We went there on a Sunday night late with a reservation but there were very few people in the restaurant. We had our choice of tables. Our server was fantastic, very friendly and quick to help. We ordered French onion soup and a couple of appetizers. She even brought us a special sauce for one of the appetizers without our asking. She was attentive and extremely nice. The food was delicious, although the soup could have been hotter. It was very tasty, just not very hot, but not worth sending back. The appetizers - the chicken meatballs and the coconut shrimp - were fantastic and just enough for 2 people to share and be satisfied. Great restaurant!
