Walk-in seating is available at the 24 seat bar and offers the full menu.
Menu options seemed good but delivery was poor. Hummus was bland. Meats had flavor.
Cute place, casual and comfortable, open front windows giving you that outside feel. Food was excellent, service outstanding - genuine care for the diners, attentive without being obtrusive. Looking forward to going back.
Loved our first time dining at Opa! The food and service is outstanding. Everything was delicious, especially the baklava. Can’t wait to go back again next time we are in Philadelphia!
Food was good but not great. Lamb was chewy. Would not return with all the choices available.
Service was very friendly and helpful, food was good. Parking was typical city parking. Baklava was outstanding
Food was good, it was loud.
I ate here for Dining Out For Life. The service was excellent. We were seated for our reservation right away, even though we came a little early. The server allowed us to set the speed at which we were ready to order. The food was delicious, although, like much restaurant food, way too salty. The Mule cocktail I ordered was substantial. The noise level, like in so many other restaurants, made it hard for me to fully relax and really enjoy the meal.
Love the food and drinks. Every time. Excellent. Also, great service. A bit loud. Definitely energetic.
Construction puts a damper in locating the restaurant but it was worth it. Nice having happy hour until 7pm. The fried kalamari was great and the gyro Delicious!
Location was good - despite the torn up street outside. Convenient to the Lantern Theater or the Walnut.
The food was excellent: the fava hummus & the Brussels sprouts especially stood out.
The wine list was notable, with a number of Greek varieties at reasonable prices.
The decor is a little 'spartan', but OPA still makes a good early date-night or pre-theater option.
My daughter and I had a wonderful meal at Opa. We had an 8:30 pm reservation, and when we walked into the restaurant, we were the only patrons!! ( Monday night). We felt bad, but the whole staff was very welcoming and told us not to rush...they were there for us!!
The food was delicious!! Good spot!!
No wonder why I was able to get a reservation for 5 the day before.
Food was sub par,
Portions were small and it was 1 and done for us!!!
I went with my daughter and very close friend. We were all able to find food we liked and shared. The Greek wine list was a nice change. Our server let us taste the wine before ordering the bottle. It was nice lively atmosphere. We all felt comfortable and had great service.
If you need a little bit more quietness, ask for the table for four on the street side, across from reception desk. It is in a corner and cuts out some noise. Loved the food.
Great food and a wonderful wait staff ! I would definitely go back and would recommend to friends who are craving delicious greek food!
We always visit when we come to Philadelphia.
In for the Garden Show. Glad I made reservations way in advance. Philadelphia was so busy everywhere.
Loved this Greek restaurant. The owners mother was making Keftedes in the kitchen...so we ordered them. Excellent!
Spanakopita was outstanding as well as the Mushroom Pie. We ate so much more and enjoyed every bite. Our waitress, Jen, made our experience very personal. She was delightful. If I lived in Phili I would go often for sure.
We found the staff to be very accommodating when our party grew from two people to four. The food was good, as was the service. It was very noisy in the bar area where we were seated, so my voice got a little hoarse trying to talk over the noise. This was not a typical Saturday night. It was the first of two “pub crawls” for St. Patty’s Day. I would definitely go back. The saganaki was to die for.
Had a great time, I just wishe the DJ would have done more diverse music but still fun
I went for a pre theater dinner with friends. The server said that most dishes were meant to be shared - tapas style. We ordered a variety of what we thought were small plates. However, we found that, while some dishes had very generous portions, others were too small to be shared. The food was good. The butternut squash pie was excellent, as was the beet salad. Service was good. I would go back.
I chose Opa because it was close to Kimmel Center before Speaker Series. Opa checked all the boxes. Service was superior. Food was delicious and price was reasonable.
We started with happy hour wine and hummus. I liked being able to take advantage of happy hour specials at a table. I ordered a gyro platter for dinner. There was plenty of lamb, fries and salad.
Service was so fast and good that we finished long before the time we needed to leave for Kimmel Center. We were not rushed out and leisurely finished our meal.
The calamari appetizer was excellent! As well as the seafood gyro! Looking forward to returning and trying the beer garden.
There for V-tine's dinner. Waitstaff was great. Ouzo on the rocks was great. Kaseri was a home run, perfect. Homemade pita was very good. Village salad (Greek salad equivalent) was flavorless - tomatoes had no taste and the feta was bland (guessing cow's milk). Had Kale with zucchini chips and tzatziki. Kale was great, Z chips were limp, not crispy enough. Tzatziki was a little bland, needed more garlic. Ordered lamb chops. Two per order. One was thicker than the other. The thin one was overcooked and too heavily salted. The thicker one was the right temperature and tasty but too salty. The baklava was very good. Overall a fun atmosphere with a younger crowd. Price point was good.
The food was not very good. Chicken was greasy and rubbery. The calamari was inedible. Very disappointed compared to the last time we visited when the restaurant first opened.
First time for us. A fresh and exciting offering of Greek fare. Not the same, tired menu choices by any means...absolutely delicious. Can't wait for next meal! And our server, Devin, was great.
Overpriced for food that isn’t necessarily hearty or healthy. Tables are very close to each other making it almost difficult to get out of the seats. Something went wrong with the spinach croquettes so kitchen shut them down. Overall not a great experience for the price paid.
food is pretty dismal. perhaps the focus is more on drinkers.
We loved dining at Opa! The service was kind and the food was delicious. So happy to find this place!
The food was amazing and considering it was restaurant week, the portions were large. Took home so many leftovers that I will be able to enjoy a delicious lunch today! Highly recommend!
Awesome food and service. Food was full of flavor and was a great find. Definitely will Ben back.
The server approached us immediately after we were seated. She was helpful, and very nice. Our selection of wine was great, and the food was quite delicious!
We were two, but the hostess seated us at a table that could seat four. We had plenty of room to spread out with our heavy coats due to the cold weather. She was sweet, and very helpful.
We will surly be back again!
Great Greek food and a great value. Best Greek food in Philadelphia.
Took 30 mins for someone to approach our table, AFTER I went back up to the hostess after 30 mins and said something. Also had to wait 10 minutes at the bar because our reserved table was not ready on time. The food does not taste authentically Greek but more Greek American, not the best quality.
It has become on of our family traditions to go to OPA before my sons head back to college in January. OPA never disappoints with outstanding food and drink! We always all order different things and share in order to get the best of what OPA has to offer!
Excellent food. Love how it comes out as it’s ready, but could have used more space on the table as it all came pretty fast. Still we didn’t feel rushed and the service was great.
Love this place. Has terrific Greek food and the folks in charge are as authentic as it gets. Great for happy hour or dinner with friends/a date.
I love this restaurant and dream about the sagasaki? I think it’s called- they take a skillet of cheese w/ brandy and light it on fire. I love it so much; but this time it didn’t seem to burn all the way through. Despite that really like the food and service! Would definitely recommend to people who like Greek food or have never had it before.
