Ooka is a groundbreaking Asian restaurant set in the unsuspecting area of Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. Opened in July of 2009, Ooka is setting the standard for forward thinking Japanese cuisine and gourmet hibachi in Southeasten Pennsylvania. went here for mother’s day. been to ooka many times before. food came out fast and furious without time to digest each course. They were out of the tuna pizza but waiter suggested the tuna tacos as being the same. Quite weren’t the same! disappointing. sushi platter had not good selection of fish. (No tuna or salmon!) our waiter was very nice and accommodating.

Not sure what we like better, the people/service or the food. It’s one of our favorite places to eat and there’s always something new and fun to try as well as the items on the menu. Also, there are great off menu options too which are some of our favorites. You won’t be disappointed here!

We started with the delicious Pork Gyoza and the Kumamoto Oysters which were not as fresh as they should have been. The Ooka Sashimi and the Combo 1 were excellent, as were the salads and miso soup.
