Better than most Hotel restaurants. Also above average wine list. I had the chicken which was a little dry. My wife had a couple of small plates which were pretty good.

My wife and i were planning on having dinner there to celebrate our one year anniversary, however our reservation time only included the lunch portion which i was totally unaware of when i booked it, we were hoping to enjoy your organic chicken along with some of your vegetables and salads, oh well i guess i blew that. Maybe next time.

We had Crab Louis. It was far short of our memories for SF and ,even then, pretty poor.

Food was mediocre, we didn't even receive what was listed in the menu for our meal and the waiter tried to argue with us. We ate there since we stayed in the hotel. Much better to walk 2 blocks for a great meal.

Sean was a great guide for the evening. Enjoyed the frisée salad, good sized portion. Sean recommended the salmon and he was right, it was terrific. OneUp doesn't skimp on portion sizes so be prepared. All in all everything was perfect. Thanks Sean.

We came here for dinner tonight aaa convenient and somewhat nice dinner after a long day of sightseeing in SF. It was easy cause it's in our hotel.
Waiter was nice but nothing over the top. Food was very good but definitely over priced. We wanted salads to go with out dinners but a small mixed greens salad with vinaigrette was $8 pp! It was tasty but definitely nowhere near an $8 side salad.
We had forgotten we ordered tater tots until the waiter delivered them AFTER my husband was done his meal. We should have rejected them cause we didn't want them at that point. They were still on our tab at the end. Overall, it was good but not worth the cost.

When I ordered a burger it was clear the server was looking for a bigger tab, the bus person or food runner was much more attentive. I was never even asked if I wanted another glass of wine. The burger was not good and tater tots dry and tasteless. Very disappointed. All I wanted was a good burger and nice glass of wine without leaving the hotel.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and thought the lunch menu looked pretty good, with the choice to get 3 different items for $16.00. There were lots of options, even enough to make the kids happy. All 4 of us enjoyed every item we had. The tomato bisque soup was very flavorful and the house made chips were very good.
The service was very well, very attentive waiters and very friendly.

For a Grand Hyatt restaurant in the middle of SF Union Square area, the experience was disappointing. A bland menu, not very delicious food, and an run down environment. This location has the potential tonserve as a nice bar amd business dinner place

We went here hoping for a nice Christmas brunch buffet. This buffet was on par with a rather limited buffet that I could have had gratis at the Marriott, with only the addition of some prime rib and lamb, and lower quality dessert items, etc. Also, when we arrived, my partner being unable to navigate stairs, we went to the elevator that said "Restaurant Access." We hit the button and waited, and waited, and waited! Finally, the elevator came and a couple of guests got off, but the Hyatt Employee on the elevator shouted at us "This is a Service Elevator," and let the door shut on us. She was rude and should NOT be employed by Hyatt and I wish I had her name! We very nearly left then, but the front desk clerk helped us obtain an elevator to get to the restaurant. Upon leaving, it was also difficult to secure an elevator down. Overall, the food was mediocre, the price ($53) was extreme for what we got. Service was efficient enough in the restaurant, but very cold...severely lacking any "holiday cheer." I won't be dining at another Hyatt and being Marriott Platinum won't ever consider taking my premium status to Hyatt if I wanted a different hotel chain. The lady on the elevator blew that singlehandedly!

Had Easter Brunch at One up and can honestly say that it was probably the worst brunch I've ever experienced. The staff was weird and stared as you went to choose your food selection, and no where in site when you needed them. The food was absolutely gross. The selection of fruit was all bitter, no egg choices but a processed tasting quiche. The lamb tasted odd, and two choices of sushi was stale and gross. The desserts were a pie, a cake and little marshmallow peeps that you find at Walgreens Easter candy isle. Absolute trash and biggest waste of money ever!!

Not a fan of waiting 1.5 hours for our food after ordering when the restaurant wasn't very busy to begin with. The food was average and nothing special considering how long we had to wait. Was very disappointed and probably wouldn't go back given all my choices in San Francisco. It's too bad because we are Hyatt members and usually the service is outstanding, but not at this particular location.

Though we ordered from the Restaurant week special menu, they did not tell us that they didn't have all of the items we ordered. The salad was not at all as advertised (no bacon, no croutons etc) and they did not have the dessert. We went for a special occasion but would not recommend this restaurant.

The crab cakes were very good. The main course was very good as well. The main problem we ran into was wine pricing. The wine list was presented on an IPad. While this was a nice way to present the wine list, the problem was that the price for the wine we ordered for dinner was increased by $20 a bottle from the time we ordered it to the time the bill was presented. The manager made some adjustment but did not agree to charge the price that was originally listed. Based on that experience, I probably won't eat there again.

During San Francisco's Restaurant Week, we decided to try OneUp Restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday. The food was outstanding with equally attentive and professional service. We had an amazing meal of Roasted Beet Salad, Pork Belly over marinated Cucumbers, Pan Roasted Teriyaki Salmon, Stout Braised Beef Short Ribs, Caramel Apple Tart and Cinnamon Bourbon Pecan Cake. Bar far this was one of my most memorable meals and I look forward to returning the next time I am in the Bay Area.

We went here for restaurant week so this may not apply to all experiences, but we had a fantastic evening. Our server did not rush us, had great enthusiasm, a jovial personality, and great recommendations when we had questions. In addition, the portion size was massive (for non-vegetarian options). For instance, I got the spicy pork belly as an appetizer and braised short rib as an entrée, both were huge, tasty, and basically fell apart when I put a fork into them. I was honestly too stuffed to eat dessert, but tried to power through the coconut bread pudding, and I'm glad I did.

Only criticism is that the vegetarian options were not as robust in taste; the risotto was certainly good but had a much more moderate affect on my palate.

Also, the wine list was decent and the location for the value is great. Not too many other places around Union Square even offered restaurant week menus at 40. I definitely recommend this establishment to a friend.

Ordered the cioppino and stout braised ribs, both very nicely done. Compliments to the chef. Dinner service was a little underwhelming. Got there at 5:30 and waited for about ten minutes with no one greeting us. Even had one person walk by, check the computer, then walked away without even acknowledging us although he clearly saw us. I get that you were having a pre-dinner service meeting with staff, but a simple "Thank you, someone will seat you shortly" would've done wonders. We had to flag someone down just to get seated, even though we had reservations and we came on time.

We were eventually served by several wait staff, a couple who were efficient, but there were still long periods of waiting. And when we ordered an individual dessert cake to go (after finally being notified that the bread pudding was off the menu for the evening), it took nearly 15 minutes and several trips to the kitchen to get our order. Were they grinding the flour by hand? Picking the walnuts off the tree in the garden?

Overall, great food but I would hope the service staff improve and provide a more uniformly satisfactory experience.

Had a fabulous dinner experience here after a tough day of meetings. Décor is inviting, food was very good, and attention from friendly staff was truly off the scale. As a business traveler, I already love this hotel. The restaurant provides one more reason to return.

The food was outstanding, but the wait staff definitely made us work for everything. We noticed all the surrounding tables had bread and dipping oils, yet we were never offered any. When we asked our waitress if that was available or if it was an appetizer, she said it was available but we had to ask for it. Water glasses were not refilled and we were never asked if we wanted to look at a dessert menu, I had to request a menu be sent over from the hostess stand. Overall ambiance was lovely, especially while there for the holiday decorations. A more attentive waitress would have definitely earned an outstanding review.
