About this restaurant

O'Neil's is a comfortable restaurant with an outdoor patio which is very inviting when the weather is cool. One of the most popular dishes on their menu is the duck that is served with O'Neil's signature orange sauce. Another item that is worth mentioning is the lamb shank that is served with lemon and butter caper sauce. The ambience of O'Neil's is very warm and friendly, and their prices are also reasonable, making O'Neil's a good destination for both those who live in the city and tourists. The delicious food and congenial atmosphere make the perfect combination along with the well trained staff. O'Neil's is now closed.

Always reliable well prepared fresh foods, attractively presented. Liked the new appetizer of artichokes on bed of lentils and Would like to see more similar vegetarian additions to the menu.

The new decor at O'Neil's is terrific; it is bright, young and trendy, much like a Chicago restaurant. The menu hasn't really changed except for the gradually rising prices, although not unreasonable. The wine list is very limited but adequate and moderately priced. Our meal consisted of an excellent New England clam chowder, and entrees of skirt steak (which my wife loved and couldn't finish) and my not-fresh-tasting huge macadamia crusted sole that was just ok. Both our veggie sides were fresh and tasty. The pretzel rolls were great. It is worth going to O'Neil's, we will return on a regular basis, but it will always be 4/5 stars.

We have been to O'Neils several times since the remodeling was completed. The good, really good, news is that the menu and the staff have remained the same. The food never disappoints and the friendliness of the service doesn't either. We have dined by ourselves and with different friends with whom we have dined prior to the remodeling of the restaurant. Each and every time, despite the food and service, we all miss the ambience and the intimacy of the "old" O'Neils. There was a true neighborhood feel then, replaced by a white and black color scheme, uncomfotable chairs and benches too wide for the average person. The great French bread also has been replaced wtih boring white rolls. Too bad. We'll focus on take-out now.

My wife and I went to O'Neils for the first time on Saturday. The food was very good and we enjoyed our meal. However, there are just too many tables for the room available. We had a small table for two and felt like we were on top of the people next to us. It was also difficult for the servers to get around us. I would urge the management to remove a couple of tables - it is a shame that this let down a restaurant that serves great food.

We went to O'Neil's on the most blustery night of autumn. Since we had an early booking we had pretty much our choice of seating. We each ordered something different out of the 4 of us. We hadn't been back to O'Neil's in awhile and so was hoping the salmon was as good as ever and it was. Others enjoyed the baked chicken, the osso buco and the red snapper. The desserts were high on the delicious scale as well. We enjoyed the praline basket (shared), the chocolate cake and the bread pudding! We can't wait to return.

This is the second time I have been to O'Neils since it reopened and it was fabulous once again. This time we had the duck, the salmon, and the tilapia. All were excellent. The portion sizes are generous which I appreciate. We had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was delicious. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Looking forward to my next visit!

Our waitress was great! She took pictures of us and knew how to use all of our phones and adjust the pictures! The complementary birthday dessert was not only delicious but beautifully presented and way more than enough! We will be returning!

The food was very good. Excellent service. Good wine list. The only issue is the noise level. It is very loud and makes conversation difficult.

We hadn't been to O'Neil's in a while and were pleasantly surprised by the ambience. The remodeling has opened the place up quite a bit and it now has a thoroughly modern feel. Food is not spectacular but reliable good. It's a nice spot to meet friends as it has a varied menu that is not overpriced.
