Went with another woman to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. Singer was fantastic for people of my musical interests and age-- her multi languages was impressive!
Food was delicious and comfortable, scenic view of open space is relaxing and conducive to good conversation.
There were small bugs in the air. i think i killed about 6 before dinner.
The lady singing a glorified karaoke singer. Could have done much better on the music side of things.
Great food and live music. Will definitely come back!
Oneils is always a good idea. They have never failed to deliver. One of the top 5 southern Orange County dining locations.
We took family for a birthday breakfast. The food was good although 2 of our egg dishes had to be returned due to undercooking. Their attitude was great and took care of the issue immediately.
Beautiful patio dining, set back in the canyon, overlooking the golf course, water and oaks. Very relaxing and serene! The food and service was great! Can’t wait to go back!
We celebrated Valentine's Day, and our anniversary here. The food was excellent, the ambiance nice (unfortunately we were seated by a door, and it was a bit cool), and we come here for Happy Hour from time to time. Always enjoy it here. Have heard the Sunday Brunch is spectacular, and will give it a try soon.
Saturday breakfast on the patio was a lovely setting for a special get together for my husband and myself and our son and his fiancee. Our reserved table was in a specially quiet spot with an unobscured view and our server could not have been more attentive, courteous or efficient. All of our breakfast selections were excellent and beautifully presented and generous. The patio table is a bit too small to accommodate all the plates for four people, especially with water glasses and coffee cups and saucers for everyone. It was a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting capped by impeccable service and food.
Meals were 50/50. Wedge salad had all the ingredients but non existent dressing. Tri Tip must have been soaking in gravy...tasted like overcooked roast beef. Fish and chips to die for and quality hamburger. Coke and tea excellent and plentiful. service was very attentive and they really tried. Just was disappointed in some of the food. wish I could give it a higher rating as it is such a lovely place and they try so hard. We will go back and give them another chance
Always good food & not overly expensive. Good value & great looking out at the golf course. Happy Hour is great too!
I ordered the hanger steak and it was tough! also the billing for the drinks was very convoluted. Too many add ons from the bar. We did not like that
The entire dining experience was wonderful and service friendly and professional. Looking forward our next visit.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years for brunch. I was a little disappointed by the selection this time. There used to be a lot more food set out and variety. It’s seem to be more expensive now which I don’t mind but only if they have more food to choose from. Our server was fine but we had to ask a few times for more water and coffee. Sitting outside is lovely until the smoker takes over your senses. The hostess was very sweet.
Love the out-of-the-way feel of this restaurant. When you are outside, you don't realize how close civilization is. Totally recommend the salmon. Nice wine selection too!
First time and really loved it the young lady and the gentleman there were just amazing as the entire staff. Friendly and so unassuming a classy place without the stuffiness great food !
We had brunch at O'Neill's on Christmas Day. It was our first visit, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The restaurant itself has a rustic and charming look. We were seated on the patio overlooking the golf course, with a scenic view of the Saddleback Mountains in the background. Even though there was live music playing, and the patio was full and bustling with other patrons, somehow our table felt private and the noise level was low enough to easily have family conversations. I think the tables are spaced out well, and the foliage and landscaping absorb distracting noise. The brunch buffet offered a lot of wonderful choices, from seafood, roasted meats, salads and veggies to typical breakfast foods such as waffles, French toast, and custom omelets. Everyone in the family, including our picky teenagers, found something to enjoy. My favorites were the winter spiced French toast and the seared salmon. The dessert table was tempting, and I liked that the portions were small so that you could have a sampling of different goodies. The quality of the food was high and everything was well prepared and delicious. We also throughly enjoyed the live music, featuring a very talented singer and keyboardist. Their rendition of Louis Armstrong's "It's a Wonderful World" was amazing and had us applauding. The service was good, too, even though they were busy. Overall it was just a very enjoyable Christmas Brunch at O'Neills. We're happy that we found this hidden gem and are looking forward to coming back soon for lunch or dinner.
We have eaten here on many occasions both post golf and just for a meal. Usually we eat outside to watch final hole on course but it was to cold and windy this time. Food and services were very good.
Jose (and his team) came through for us once again. The high quality service coupled with excellent menu offerings cannot be beat. Our a\occasion this week was business meal and the guests were delighted with the food, service and engaging conversation. All because the location was perfect for what we wanted to accomplish. Thanks so much for strengthening the ties within our group. You enhanced our loyalty to you once again.
Had a great breakfast on the patio with a great view and great service
Their services was excellent. I called 30min before our reservation time to get another possible time and they did. Made our thanksgiving possible. Our server Britney was great and her team member Lazz made sure she gad extra support as we asked him for a other questions. They never rush us to leave and made our time memorable.
Chose this restaurant because it had a kids' menu. Kids loved it.
Staff is great! The waiter overheard that one of our party had an upcoming birthday which was part of our reason for dinner. He brought a birthday dessert without being asked.
Good value for money.
We visit often and are always pleased with our experience...but this time is was EXTRA great! All 4 in our party loved their meals. Will make it a more regular spot on our outings.
O'Neill's at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is a favorite of ours with the great food, friendly and helpful staff and one-of-kind ambiance in south OC. A visit there feels like a mini-vacation, which makes for a great date night destination for parents. Highly recommend it!
Love this restaurant for the view, food and relaxing ambiance
Food, service was awesome, especially JT!
Once we ordered, it took 47 minutes for food to arrive. Waiter disappeared and was not attentive to our table.
Terrible service - waiter was MIA most of the night. We also waited over an hour for our food! We waited so long we were about to leave when the food arrived. The food was mediocre at best and the waiter never offered to refill our drinks and never even brought my drink order. I would have asked for my drink but he was no where in sight. We were dining with our kids on a school night and with the delay in getting our order, led to a very late night. I will never return to this restaurant again.
The staff takes great care of the table and guests. Reservations are most accommodating. Great for business conversations. Salmon salad is outstanding. Smoked meats are extra-ordinary. Neighborhood location worth finding. Many guests are surprised it’s so close, yet feels like a get-away. Even if you’re not a golfer, you’ll love the location.
Hidden Gem. Food, and service both outstsnding. Special request was met perfectly. We all had a fabulous time. Thank you to the staff at O'Neill's
This is a lovely spot for Sunday brunch - especially if you request a patio table. The patio overlooks the golf course, a pond, ducks and geese wander and the big oak trees and sycamore trees lend the feeling that I have gone far, far away... instead of just a couple of off ramps down the freeway. The brunch choices are excellent - the BBQ stations adds another component not usually found in a buffet-style setting. The food is excellent. The choices are abundant. The service staff is friendly and accommodating. I have been many times and will continue to go. Dianne
We had the filet mignon on for dinner, seriously one of the best steaks I have had in Orange County!
Only thing to watch out for if you sit on the patio is the mosquitoes that fly around and seem to hang out under the table (Either spray yourself or eat inside). I have taken home numerous itchy bites on several occasions. The patios proximity to the golf course is always a challenge when it comes to insects but food is always good!
Food was excellent except for the overcooked short ribs.
Reliably one of the best go often to experience excellence at various times
This venue provided the best possible dining experience!
Colyn as a great server! Our choices of flat iron steak and tri tip were good. Pleasant surroundings sitting outside on patio for dinner.
Love sitting outside and viewing the golf course. Drinks always good as is the food. The entertainment that night was awfully good but a little too loud for conversation.
Great food, location, scenery, and service. We have our Department Fall kickoff meeting here every year and other business events too.
5 Star all the way.
Waited about 45 min to get my order then about 40 min to get my bill to pay for it. They should have more waitresses to cover all guests. However great food & view.
We normally go to breakfast on Saturday mornings but decided to do a Friday night dinner. They were packed, more than usual, so service and food delivery was extremely slow. But how can you complain when you are sitting in such a beautiful spot overlooking the lake and fairway? Food is, of course, fantastic. We were in no hurry, so the wait was OK with us. Great place to eat and enjoy friends.
