There wasn't anyone to greet us when we arrived. When we finally were seating we were given a table right next to the kitchen even though the place was almost empty. The drinks were watered down and the wedge salad was cut up into a regular salad with no salad dressing. All in all, very disappointing. We won't be returning.
Jose (and his team) came through for us once again. The high quality service coupled with excellent menu offerings cannot be beat. Our a\occasion this week was business meal and the guests were delighted with the food, service and engaging conversation. All because the location was perfect for what we wanted to accomplish. Thanks so much for strengthening the ties within our group. You enhanced our loyalty to you once again.
Their services was excellent. I called 30min before our reservation time to get another possible time and they did. Made our thanksgiving possible. Our server Britney was great and her team member Lazz made sure she gad extra support as we asked him for a other questions. They never rush us to leave and made our time memorable.
Chose this restaurant because it had a kids' menu. Kids loved it.
Staff is great! The waiter overheard that one of our party had an upcoming birthday which was part of our reason for dinner. He brought a birthday dessert without being asked.

O'Neill's at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is a favorite of ours with the great food, friendly and helpful staff and one-of-kind ambiance in south OC. A visit there feels like a mini-vacation, which makes for a great date night destination for parents. Highly recommend it!
Terrible service - waiter was MIA most of the night. We also waited over an hour for our food! We waited so long we were about to leave when the food arrived. The food was mediocre at best and the waiter never offered to refill our drinks and never even brought my drink order. I would have asked for my drink but he was no where in sight. We were dining with our kids on a school night and with the delay in getting our order, led to a very late night. I will never return to this restaurant again.
The staff takes great care of the table and guests. Reservations are most accommodating. Great for business conversations. Salmon salad is outstanding. Smoked meats are extra-ordinary. Neighborhood location worth finding. Many guests are surprised it’s so close, yet feels like a get-away. Even if you’re not a golfer, you’ll love the location.
This is a lovely spot for Sunday brunch - especially if you request a patio table. The patio overlooks the golf course, a pond, ducks and geese wander and the big oak trees and sycamore trees lend the feeling that I have gone far, far away... instead of just a couple of off ramps down the freeway. The brunch choices are excellent - the BBQ stations adds another component not usually found in a buffet-style setting. The food is excellent. The choices are abundant. The service staff is friendly and accommodating. I have been many times and will continue to go. Dianne
We had the filet mignon on for dinner, seriously one of the best steaks I have had in Orange County!
Only thing to watch out for if you sit on the patio is the mosquitoes that fly around and seem to hang out under the table (Either spray yourself or eat inside). I have taken home numerous itchy bites on several occasions. The patios proximity to the golf course is always a challenge when it comes to insects but food is always good!
We normally go to breakfast on Saturday mornings but decided to do a Friday night dinner. They were packed, more than usual, so service and food delivery was extremely slow. But how can you complain when you are sitting in such a beautiful spot overlooking the lake and fairway? Food is, of course, fantastic. We were in no hurry, so the wait was OK with us. Great place to eat and enjoy friends.
Beautiful setting! Excellent service! Usually love their food and my husband and I loved his hanger steak, but I got the tri tip. I usually love it because they smoke it right there on the premises. This time the meat had an unusual sauce and it lost its great flavor. We have been coming here for over eight years and this was the first time I was disappointed. The wedge salad however, was delicious and the flourless chocolate cake was amazing! They have a great wine list too! We got married here and have celebrated all 7 anniversaries here because of the food and setting!
With rising cost, understandably restaurant has subtly reduced food offerings - from sushi/sashimi to diced tuna, fewer choices of cheese, fewer grilled meat choices, fewer hot entrees and side dishes. It is still a very nice place for Sunday brunch with very good services. Perhaps, the restaurant is at the cusp between cutting cost and increasing price. My preference is moderate price increase for interesting varieties; after all Sunday brunch is a pleasurable indulgence.

We all liked it very much. The scenes and golf course view is gorgeous. Service outstanding... My favorite drink is pineapple Mimosa. Favorite food is egg benneditcs with french toasts. Don't forget to try their tasty deserts....
Ah and Julio was serving non-stop... he was a such a caring server.
We came to O'Neill's last month and enjoyed our late afternoon lunch so much! Unfortunately on this recent visit, we were quite disappointed. Sat outside and the view was lovely, but the problem was with the food. We had the French Dip sandwich both times. The first time we both thought the sandwich was absolutely delicious. This time, however, it had no flavor at all and we were both disappointed. Also, the onion rings were fantastic the first time and this time they were over cooked (not burnt, but a very dark brown) and didn't taste nearly as good. Service also was a little less impressive this trip. All in all, we were disappointed and won't be rushing back.
We are regulars at this restaurant - the food is always excellent, staff are welcoming, friendly, and accommodating to special requests. We have taken many, many friends there for their 'special day' - birthday, anniversary, etc. - and recommend it to friends of friends. We love, love, love the patio - the music, especially Steve on Friday nights, and cannot say enough about the exceptional and professional experience of LAZ - the epitome of authentic hospitality and customer service in our book.
