We ate at One Lincoln on a quiet, rainy Sunday evening. The food tasted like it had been prepared earlier and reheated for service. We had to flag down the waitress for everything as she did not come to our table except to deliver the food.
service was excellent; food was good but pricey. outside parking was difficult
Expected a good meal after reading all the excellent reviews but was disappointed with service and food.
My soup was cold. Waffle fries cold. Hamburger over cooked. Asked for burger to be cooked med and it was a charred hockey puck.
We liked the decor and host very nice and informative about the area. We liked the location. Maybe during on season they be on their game.
Reservations recommended. We did arrive early but they accommodated us quickly. Server was attentive but not overly so. Food arrived in a timely fashion, was as described on the menu and quite good. Desserts were on the large size, we probably should have split one between us...
First time dining here Avocado Bruschetta was very good, salads are fine. Very good coffee, but their specialty drinks lacked flavor Please add ice and check recipe of the Duchess - it was like drinking warm water - Eeeewww
Very good service snd dinner. Party of 6 snd everyone was happy
This is our second dinner at One Lincoln in less than a month; we enjoyed it so much last time we went back! The service is friendly, quick and polite, coupled with a restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere and historic views – all equals a great dinning experience. The food was very good...worth the second trip! However, the women’s bathroom was completely disgusting. Toilets not flushed, sinks were dirty, it smelled like a sewer - I mean to the point she turned around and walked out.
Visiting our son in Gettysburg we had a hard time finding a place that was quiet to chat with him. This is a great place. Good food, very good service, and relaxing. We will be back.
Our server was excellent! Food was very good especially since we were probably the last meal served that evening. We arrived late from out of town and the restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating. I would recommend One Lincoln to anyone.
Very good food, good menu variety, nice wine, beer, and specialty cocktail selection. Excellent proximity to Majestic theater. Allow ample time, food delivery was slightly slow
Overall good food and location but the acoustics need help— way too loud because of the proximity to the bar. Would be better served to have a door to that space so the dining patrons aren’t having to talk above the noise.
As always, it is good.
Enjoyed a nice dinner at One Lincoln with our daughter who is attending Gettysburg.
Food and service excellent.
Even though the service was good, the food was subpar at best.
Breakfast with college friends for our annual reunion. Very cute stop for a meal!
I had made last minute reservation on OpenTable, thinking it was for 630pm however when we arrived were informed the reservation was actually for 830 pm. I checked my email and that was indeed the time, not sure why 630 pm had shown up as an option when I had looked on my phone at 6pm. The host checked and actually was able to get us a table which was great, tucked away so noise was not a problem. Menu not very large but adequate choices. Kids menu was average but portions were good.
We requested a quiet table for a date night and were offered the smallest table in the restaurant crammed up against a wall. We opted to sit in the bar area instead. My husband and I were so excited to see brussel sprouts on the appetizer menu, as they are our go-to when available at other restaurants. These brussel sprouts came complete with what appeared to be water chestnuts, although after taking my first bite I realized they were sliced hot bananas - in fried brussel sprouts!!! Thank goodness our server was polite otherwise we would have asked for the check immediately after the brussel sprout debacle and looked for another restaurant. My husband and I have five kids and don’t get out much for date nights. It was really important for us to have a good time and this place did not provide. I’m all for supporting local businesses but I will not be back to this one.
We always enjoy dining at One Lincoln. My husband enjoys the flatbreads and was disappointed that he didn’t see the shrimp flatbread on the menu. I always get the penne and am never disappointed.
The food was good. It was very loud in the restaurant. They didn’t pay attention that our reservation was for a birthday. We were out of town staying at the Gettysburg Hotel for the occasion. The alcoholic drinks weren’t the best. And the bill was way over priced for the stuff we got. Also the menu is definitely lacking options for dinner and drinks. Potentially would go back again if we visited again just to give them another chance.
The martinis were high priced for the size. The food was good but not exceptional. Is a nice place for a quick meal while downtown - better than other options in the immediate area.
Best Restaurant in Gettysburg; delicious seafood and upscale, vibrant ambiance.
It was fine but nothing special, in every way. We made a reservation but clearly didn't need it. Where many other downtown restaurants were busy on a holiday Monday, One Lincoln was nearly empty. To their credit, they turned on the fireplace for us for ambiance and heat, and the food and service were fine, but just nothing special.
We had an absolutely divine meal; scallops stuffed with crabmeat and mashed potatoes. The meal was bookend with equally amazing crab chowder and a wonderful wedge salad with pickled carrots. The sound track was 1959 Chess Records with Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. Our server was nice gregarious but a bit clumsy. The mater de checked in on us several times. It was an amazing dining experience.
I have been wanting to eat at One Lincoln,as it is one of the few restaurants in Gettysburg that we haven’t tried. Our server was great! The atmosphere was nice but the music choice was odd, more like what you would hear at a bar. The food in our opinion did not live up to the price, particularly the filet. The mushroom appetizer and carrot cake were delicious. We will likely try it again though. Maybe it was just an off night.
We are locals and have gone to One Lincoln many times , and each time it seems to be worse. The food for our Valentine's Day dinner in a word was "disappointing." The service is still very good, but the noise, ambience, and food was not what it use to be. The table for two barely fit the dinner on it, even though the server frequently cleared the table of any empty dishes. The tables were crowded together. The "specials" were not special.
The service was good but the filet had no flavor. Generally, the food was not worth the price paid.
Chocolate mousse torte was amazing!! Server was attentive.
Wouldn’t feed the food I got to my dog. What an absolute donkey of a head chef. I’m no Gordon Ramsey, but Jesus I know what good food is. These guys and girls need to take a long look in mirror and figure out if they should be in the food business still. The waitress was nice though.
Our server was attentive but didn’t hover. My crab-stuffed-scallops was very good. My gf’s crab mac&cheese was excellent. Overall, a very good experience.
Wonderful waitress, crowded seating, loud door and cold air, loud music, excellent food
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Highly recommend.
Went on New Years Day for brunch. Great buffet. Lots of options! Service was not good. I realize that buffet service is not like full service, but we asked for drink refills and more coffee and our waiter never came back until we were done eating. Over 20 minutes and with no coffee. There was plenty of help. I made a reservation through OpenTable and was told there were no reservations. I showed the host my confirmation amd he was still reluctant to give us a booth seat. Finally, he did only to call me 20 minutes later to see if I was running late for my reservation! I told him I was there... the one without the reservation. Great food, bad service.
The food was incredible and our waiter was very attentive. The actual vibes in the restaurant were more casual than I expected for NYE and given the price point. We started with the mushroom risotto and chilled shrimp followed by crab-stuffed scallops and beef & crab entrees. For dessert we got the vanilla cheesecake - all worth the cost and a great way to kick off our weekend trip to Gettysburg! The location is perfect, right in the town square inside a stunning local hotel.
The menu was diverse and our party of four enjoyed ever thing that we ordered. I love crab mac n cheese they had the best I have ever eaten. Their salads were also excellent and full of fresh, high quality ingredients. I will definitely return the next time I am in Gettysburg.
We visit Gettysburg every other year for Christmas. We noticed One Lincoln as being new. Saw that they had good reviews so we gave it a try. The food was wonderful and the drinks were tasty. Staff were efficient and courteous. We highly recommend a stop.
We completely enjoyed our experience at One Lincoln. The menu is creative and the food is excellent. The shrimp & grits met my expectations and my ten year old grandson stated "this is the best burger I ever had". Our server Lisa was friendly, attentive and responsive The Abraham Lincoln theme and decor created great conversation throughout the evening.
We had a great Thanksgiving Dinner. Food and Service was top notch!
Great place for breakfast! We went two days in a row. I would definitely recommend.
First time here. Great food good value in historic Gettysburg Pa.
