ONE FORTY Ratings and Reviews
Went there 2 nights. Had the oysters and the Waipoli Butter Lettuce Salad both nights - excellent! Seared ahi - very good. Seared snapper with side of garlic shrimp - both over cooked and dry.
2nd night had the mushroom soup - great; lobster (farm raised) was pretty good; and the bone in ribeye with more fresh mushrooms - very good.
1st night they ran out of the only good Pinot Noir out of 3 that they had. Other wine selections a bit limited.
A solid restaurant overall and great outdoor seating.
One Forty was quite possibly the best restaurant that i have been to. The food was soooo
good, the service amazing (you felt like family), and they had a lovely special dessert to
celebrate my daughter's graduation. We had the best time and will crave and remember
our dinners for ever. Did i mention the wine?? Oh my!
Amazing. Positively the best restaurant at the Four Seasons Lanai. And that's saying something, given that Nobu is 100 feet away. We ate at Nobu twice and ONE FORTY twice. ONE FORTY *BLEW* Nobu out of the water. Young, ambitious chef vs. corporate chef resting on his laurels. Don't miss ONE FORTY (you have time.... you can skip Nobu, TRUST ME).
***and I should say that my husband and I LOVE sushi and don't routinely eat steak, so this is a truly ringing endorsement.
The setting could not be better. Our view of the ocean, beach and red lava cliff formations at sunset were indescribably beautiful. The food was excellent and the extensive wine list was impressive. We are not into raw or Japanese cuisine. Forty-one met our need for meat. You must try the local venison. It is awesome!
Maybe we just came on a bad night. We had a reservation. We were seated in a reasonable time frame. They just forgot things like assigning us a server and giving us menu's. So we waited probably 15 minutes to order water and a cocktail from the manger. Then found our own menu's. Then tracked down someone to get us an appetizer. Then asked the manager to take our dinner order. The food was good but the service was laughable.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at One Forty and it was perfect! It was relaxing and we enjoyed the beautiful view overlooking Manele Bay. The appetizer, entrees and dessert was outstanding! Thank you chef for presenting us the most tastiest dishes - it was different and 'onolicious'! Mahalo to our waitress, Juliet, for taking care of us!
It was the best meal we've had all year! We had an amazing table, with an incredible view.... although it seems every table has an incredible view and there isn't a bad table in there.
The onaga dish was delicious and my favorite! Our only regret is that we didn't have room to try more of the dishes. Everything on the menu looked so appealing!
We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and everyone went out of their way to make it a special night for her. We appreciate the whole team at 140 for this, including every person behind the scenes and in the kitchen.
We couldn't be more satisfied with dining experience! This is our favorite restaurant!
Located in the Four Seasons Lanai Resort, ONE FORTY is on the expensive side. The food, however, is excellent and definitely worth going for a special occasion. Fine cocktails and extensive wine list add to attraction. Friendly service was attentive without being hovering.
My wife and I celebrated a very enjoyable anniversary evening.
We ate at One Forty several times for both breakfast and dinner during our stay at the Four Seasons Lanai. The view is amazing and the service was terrific. We enjoyed every meal very much. The lobster was the best I've ever had! We had the breakfast package with our room. The buffet is nice, but more limited than we expected for $52 each. The prices overall are very high- $95 for the ribeye! But the view and ambience can't be beat!
One Forty is located at the Four Season's Lanai, HI. The location overlooking Manele Bay is breathtaking. Service is impeccable. Reports from my table of eight were all positive. Entrées varied from fish to steak. My wife ordered a filet and I ordered Wagyu style NY steak. The steaks arrived hot, medium rare as requested. The NY steak was beyond 'prime', perfect flavor, texture and worthy of the cost. My good fortune included the availability of Robert Biale Zinfandel, Black Chicken Ranch. Wine presented and served in a great glass during the meal added to the experience. We were asked early in the meal if we were interested in placing an order for chocolate soufflé a perfect ending including coffee freshly brewed, black and fragrant.
If you have an opportunity to dine here and perhaps stay here at the Four Seasons the experience will be memorable.
Perfect setting in a perfect place. Immerse yourself in the splendor of the Hawaiian islands like no other place can. One Forty isn't just another steakhouse, it is a one of a kind experience not to be missed when visiting the Four Seasons Lanai. Enjoy beautiful bay vistas and lush tropical gardens as you feast on the amazing menu selections. Prized Wagyu beef is of course delectable but the entire menu is highly recommended. Treat yourself and your family to the best! Four Seasons and One Forty.
