food is nothing special. It's ok but nothing to go out of your way for. We were a group of 10 and needed a place that could handle a large group. Understandable for a tourist town that they get lots of customers but the food doesn't have to be too great.
New Year’s Eve/Birthday
went there on new years eve, there was like one waiter and he was good. The mashed potatoes tasted terrible, doesn't take that much to make them so idk how one does that. The steak was ok, the wife had the salmon and ate that within seconds it was so good. I used to come here a lot 7 years ago and it has changed since ive been there and not for the better....
Went to Galena with my adult daughter. I have eaten lunch at 111 before, but not dinner. Based on lunch, I wanted to try dinner. It is a great little place right on Main Street. Exposed brick walls, nice bar, cozy environment. They have varying menu options, which we enjoy. The service was excellent and the food came extremely fast.
My husband and I usually eat here every time we come to Galena. Our past experiences have always been good when we stuck to ordering the meat dishes. This time, I decided to try the chicken with veggies pasta and was very disappointed. The description reads white wine and butter, but it had the consistency more like mac and cheese and really lacked flavor. It was super heavy and I did not feel well for a few days. Being in the service industry myself, I know how reviews impact a business so let me emphasize that we have always had a good meal at this restaurant and the service is ALWAYS impeccable! I think this dish needs a better description on the menu or needs to be lightened up a bit!
Laurie always takes good care of us and Will, our server did his usual best at delivering great service.
My wife and I both had great meals. She had a steak and I had Steak and shrimp. The beer fondue was great. Laurie always takes great care of us and our server, Will, was excellent.
This has always been one of our favorite Galena restaurants. We were disappointed this time. The waiter was outstanding but the food left much to be desired. I ordered the ravioli which is listed as one of their signature dishes. The actual raviolis were great but they were literally drowning in the lemon cream sauce. Thus they became soggy & the sauce, though tasty, was way too rich & too much. The yummy raviolis were lost. My husband ordered the almond crusted walleye. Bland, no flavor. Veges were good but the mashed potatoes were dry. The prices are pretty high at One Eleven Main for such mediocre food. The dessert was a pumpkin spiced cake. It too was very dry. How you can have a pumpkin cake that is dry is a mystery. I hope the kitchen can make some adjustments for improvement. We’d really like to come back.
Great food. Fair price. Friendly service. Would eat here again without hesitation.
Food was just ok. The mean was a little weird.service was excellent !
