One Eleven Grill Ratings and Reviews
From the super friendly hostess Emma who seated us, to the wonderful server Nonso who took great care of our meals and drinks, and all the added suprises by the kind owner Mahziar during dinner, our Christmas party couldn’t have been more enjoyable.
Thanks One Eleven Grill for the perfect evening!
While the food was great. I honestly think it was the server's first day he had no clue on what he was doing . The table we where seated at was falling apart . There was literally chucks falling off it . The atmosphere was loud . We had to yell to hear each other .. overall I have been to one 11 before a few years ago and its sad to see such a nice restaurant go down hill ..
First step in the door they lost my reservation. Got seated in a very small table. Took waiter ten minutes to find a cocktail menu and we only had one main menu for two people. Then first drink came very poorly made sent it back took another 15 mins for my second drink to come. We got our appitizers and then our main dishes came right after. Then no where in the menu for my dish said spicy and I had hot peppers in my food and to top it took a very long time for water refills. And no salt and pepper in tables and was offered any when my food came! Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Enjoyed our night out. There was a problem with one of the menu items. What I want to comment on is the way Sarah handled it. She was professional, friendly and concerned and we appreciated the attention she gave the issue. We'll be back. Thanks again Sarah G
One eleven was very accommodating for a surprise birthday and had us in a great secluded section. The atmosphere is very cool and hip, the food was delicious, but unfortunately wait times for drinks and food were very long. The waitress was very helpful and her friendly attitude made up for it a bit, but had to ask multiple times for drinks which was disappointing. Overall, it was a moderate experience!
We went for my mother-in-law's birthday. There were 7 of us but when the meals came only 6 arrived. The server had clearly forgotten to ring in my 8 year-old's meal but, instead of acknowledging it, tried to cover for it. Her meal came after the rest of us were almost done. Nothing was done as an apology, nor was anything done for my mother-in-law, despite my indicating her birthday on Open Table and mentioning it as we came in.
The meal itself was quite good but it was not up to the standards that One Eleven normally maintains.
Always an amazing and tasty experience when we visit One Eleven! The food, the service, the ambiance...always top notch and the perfect place to take that someone special! Drunken mussels, lobster mac and cheese...need I say more?! Thanks to the staff for always making sure our experience is perfect right from the time we make our reservation to sipping coffee after an amazing meal! We will be back soon!
The service was great. The food was very good except, for the price, the steak could have been better. It tasted good, but was a little underdone and had quite a bit of gristle. The rest of the meal was excellent. Also, my husband really wanted oysters and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our 10th anniversary over others because their online menu listed baked oysters as an option; however, we discovered when we got there, that the online menu was not up to date and there were no oysters listed in their current menu. We were very disappointed.
Mother in law was in town. Last time she came we dined at one eleven and it, as always was delicious.
Our server was friendly and charismatic but always in a hurry and not around when we wanted something. I hate having to ask for the obvious when I go out to eat (water and pop refills, napkins, dessert menu) we also had to pour our own wine... as a server myself, that's a huge no-no to make the guest pour their own wine. We aren't fancy People, but spending up to $200 on dinner you would expect some sort of waiting on (hense the title "waiter") when our bill came he charged me for a more expensive steak and didn't have our bottle of wine on there?
It was a Tuesday and not overly busy... maybe 4-5 more tables but I did see 2 other waitstaff so unsure what happened there...
BUT meals were great and my steak was superb and we will be back!
I was pleasantly impressed with the decor in the restaurant. The service was great and the food tasty however I found it quite pricey. We were there for a special reason and there was lots of seating for us without crowding. We couldn't visit real well as the music was quite loud and it wasn't a band while we were there.
We chose a night where several staff apparently did not show for work. Those who were there tried hard to cover off the shortage but we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, despite arriving on time for our reservation. Otherwise the service and food were acceptable.
Incredible service from the young fella serving us. The food was amazing and the cocktails just as good. I can't remember the server's name but he mentioned he was new, he truly made the experience. The only thing I would say needs improvement is that there is no dessert menu. Great experience.
Last minute booking. We weren't planning on going out this night but it just happened we checked out the reviews and the pictures on open table and it looked really good ! Forget about really good, this place was awesome !!!! The ambiance of an old warehouse with exposed brick on the inside, an old garage door, high ceilings with cool pendant lights was the first thing that struck us. Then we were seated in a nice private booth so we felt alone on the top level, even though there were people sitting right next to us, we couldn't hear or see a thing from them . Then we met our servers, Kristen and Kirsten (I think... ( sorry girls if I got that wrong)) one of the Servers was in training so we were a little apprehensive on how are experience might me be... forget about it she Rocked It !!! We were well cared for and even the recommendations she made were awesome, she obviously did her research or has at least tried things on the menu. We were not disappointed with the lobster bruschetta, an awesome combination of lobster, medley of tomatoes and herbs, dished on sliced and toasted ciabatta bread and drizzled with aged balsamic vinaigrette (20 year I think or at least 15...).
Then we tried the lobster mac and cheese (which was recommended by our server and that too was the bomb! The noodles were cooked perfectly "a la dente " the sauce was perfect, not to dry and not to saucy, sprinkled with a tad of blue cheese and awesome flavors throughout. We also had the blue cheese sirloin, probably one of the best cooked steaks I've ever had a restaurant, perfect medium rare. The blue cheese sauce was melt in your mouth perfect and not to overpowering with the blue cheese, it was an awesome combination. The seasonal vegetables were beets and beans with garlic cheesy mashed potatoes... mmmmhmmmmm!!!! You would think it would stop here ... but let me tell you, save room for desert !!!! The sticky toffee pudding.... RIDICULOUS!!!! This one is a game changer! Hope this helps!!!!
I booked a reservation for my sisters bachelorette party, we ended up being able to have use of the private room and it was perfect for the occasion. We were still able to hear the live jazz, but still enjoy our time. Service was good, and food was pretty good. I think I should have ordered something other then the fish as everyone else's plates looked much more succulent then mine. But overall a great experience and fun environment.
Our service and drinks were good. The lobster bruschetta was incredible. That's where the good ends. I ordered my steak medium rare. Hers was medium well. Hers barely came out rare and drowning in blood. The cooks answer, re sear the same streak. Got it back just under medium this time. Glad the server took it off our bill. One of these days we will actually enjoy a dinner together. Comments from mgmt welcomed.
The meat was very bad on the steak that night. It usually is a great place but not that night. Sad as it was our 4th anniversary dinner too. My wife couldn't chew half of her steak and I battled through mine. Would like to say we would be back but might take convincing to get my wife to agree.
We have been to One Eleven Grill many times and have always enjoyed the experience and food. This time, unfortunately, the service was lacking. We waited for drink refills and had to ask for service a couple times. Both steaks ordered were tasty but tough. We will go back but hopefully this time will be back to normal or it may be the last time.
Friendly service and tasty food. Decor a little dated, but still comfortable. Drunken mussels were great and adding the $6 Caesar salad and mushrooms to our entree is a great deal (1 order was more than enough for 2 of us). Dessert offerings all kind of heavy; like to see a lighter option. We will go again!
