One Eared Stag
It was a very different and fun experience. Food was good. Service was great. Price was great!
Consistently excellent food and service. Great range of entres and main courses. Dessert menu always has new options. Super fresh oysters.
My wife and I have been coming to One Eared Stag for years as the go-to on special nights. It has always been a satisfying and sophisticated experience. We recommend it to everyone we meet. My daughter and I are especially fond of the Kid's Chicken tenders and the meat stack. Both we think are the bast in the city. Your other entrees are consistently excellent and surprising in their ingredients and presentation.
Celery salad was stunning opening up into “best of the town” hamburger!!
Amazing food! Great server!
Used to be one of our favorites but it’s not nearly what it was
My fiancée and I went here for brunch to celebrate our anniversary and we could not have been more happy with our choice. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was welcoming and a nice change from the everyday. I highly recommend eating here be it a special occasion or a regular meal, if you enjoy eating amazing food you can’t go wrong eating here.
Valentine's day weekend. They where slammed. We where in no hurry so not a big deal. Wait time on some of our dinner was long. Our waitress did her best to check up on us. Have dined her before and it was excellent. This time it was no as impressive. After 830 or 9 it seemed to get be getting back on track. Good drinks and good company made the bad stuff go away. I would go back again just to see if it was a off night
We had a reservation for 830. We were not sat until 930 and we were basically sat in a storage room next to back up supplies and where silverware is rolled. We also were next to a reach in refrigerator that the cooks kept going in and out of every few minutes. Cocktails ordered at the bar while we waited to be seated were terrible. The hostess gave us no indication of when we would be seated or explanation as to why others were being sat in front of us or even an apology. We were also forced to share a drink menu and did not receive a dinner menu until we asked for one, which we also had to share. I guess their printer broke? No sign of any management. A server finally came to our table and we ordered another cocktail and oysters to start. These cocktails were undrinkable. 15 minutes later, still no oysters or sign of our server. When she finally came back we asked to cancel the oysters and to get our bill for the god awful cocktails.
I had been here awhile ago and had a great experience and we had been talking about going back for sometime. Needless to say, it was massively disappointing and we will never go back. The owners should really reevaluate and retrain or replace their entire staff.
Great food. One of the dishes we ordered (butternut squash) was overly salty, but may have been a one off issue. The only downside of the evening was waiting 30 minutes to be seated despite reservations (the reason for the lower service score).
This is a great spot to go eat dinner. I was surprised I had never heard of this place and it has been around for nine years I will definitely be going back.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent.
The Brunch menu options were unique and all looked great. The menu changes often. We had one off menu option and a fried chicken/biscuits and gravy/egg dish. Both were fantastic and we were stuffed at the end. The drinks were solid as well. Great service.
We loved our first experience here! The lighting was very bright in my opinion. Would prefer ambient lighting in a space like this. I felt like I had a bright light shining in my face and noticed guests at other tables with the same. We will be back though as the food & service were wonderful!
Needed to get a last minute reservation and needed a quick turnaround to get to the symphony. One Eared Stag delivered on all accounts. They were gracious, we were seated quickly and the food came promptly. We split their ‘dumpster’ salad and their ‘secret’ burger. Best burger in years. Nice wine list, although not overwhelming. Have been here previously and will happily go again!
Smaller sized venue with a cozy feel that wraps around you like a warm blanket. Staff were friendly and incredibly helpful in navigating the menu. The food was delicious, flavorful. Thank you! We will definitely come again!
We had a reservation at 8 and ordered around 8:15. We were placed in the bar area rather than the main dining room. I’m not sure if that was the issue but we sat for an hour and nothing had hit the table except for our drinks so we left.
Really enjoyed our visit...and our waitress was wonderful with all of my Mother-in-Laws questions. Food and drinks were deelish. Thanks!
Excellent evening!
Our server Zack was amazing and knowledgeable. He helped us both make a decision and it turned out great. Will definitely be coming back!
Table requested not even close to ready. Service was more than slow. Nothing on the menu was in stock hardly.
What happened? Bad night? New management? Sorry but this place is terrible
We live in the neighborhood and love this restaurant. The food, drinks, and service are always good. I would absolutely recommend it.
I usually love this place, but service was not good. It was so loud that we had to yell to each other. We dined early, at 6:15, so not expecting it to be so loud.
The three of us shared the whipped chicken liver to start our lunch and then ordered the bacon hash, chicken breast, and pork schnitzel. Everything was delicious with nice balance of flavors and textures. We were very pleased. There is talent in the kitchen. The wine list may have offered a bit better choices in the whites & rosés, but as we left they were preparing to select new reds to update the list.
Definitely an enjoyable meal.
Low key place with consistency good food.
Honestly the worst meal I have ever had. Two hours - comedy of errors. Team was generous and took coffee off the bill. So bad it was laughable.
Just okay. The brunch cocktails were really good and we tried to focus on them as we waited almost an hour for our food. Tables that arrived after us ate before us so I think they forgot our order but no one acknowledged this or apologised for the wait. The food was okay but wasn’t so good that I’d hurry back. When I compare service and quality I would recommend Murphy’s in Virginia Highland over this place.
New Year brunch. Set menu. Waiter was friendly and helpful. It took 40 minutes for drinks. Unfortunately it took almost 2 hours to get our food. Hmmmm. A problem that needs to be fixed.
Everything we ordered was over salted. Not just one dish
We had an 8:30 reservation, but were not seated until almost 9:30. This was after I asked to speak to a manager regarding the table. There was no follow up from the host while we were waiting and when we would ask about the status she seemed unable to provide accurate or useful information. The service at our table was nice and the food was good.
The service was terrible. There were 4 of us for a business lunch. The server had trouble keeping the orders straight and ended up bringing me the wrong order. Neither the server nor the kitchen seemed to be bothered by this as my meal was finally brought to the table as our group was ready to leave. For this she comped out 2 fries appetizers. What was worse was the server didn’t really seem to care. The server also had to be asked to refill coffee and water instead of coming by to check on us. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time, one with a party of 6 and one with 3 that arrived after us. Too bad, this restaurant used to have such good service.
Generally speaking we had a lovely dinner. The beef dish was incredible, the wine recommendations were spot on. However, my friend ordered the pork dish and after waiting for our entrees for a while one of the servers (not our home server) came to our table to inform us that they were out of the cut of meat that was listed for that dish and it would be a different cut of pork, my friend said that would be fine. That same server (again not our home server) came back to the table a few mins later to explain that the pork dish would then also cost $13 more than it was listed for. My friend again agreed that that would be fine. (Although we all thought the restaurant should eat the $13 since they ran out and didn't tell us until at least 15 mins after we'd finished our appetizers, but we didn't say anything.) When the dish arrived it was not only a very grisly, tough piece of pork that was only partially edible, but it was not just the piece of pork that was different than what was listed on the menu - the sweet potatoes were not prepared the way they were described and neither was anything else on the plate. Not only should the restaurant have skipped the up-charge for the pork dish since they were out of the proper cut of meat, but this dish should have been altogether comped off the bill. It was clear my friend was unhappy with it, as 3/4 of the dish was left on the plate, and it was mostly gristle. It's really a shame because everything else was truly delicious, but this really put a damper on the experience. Had the dish been comped or even our dessert comped, it would have made up for the situation and we would have felt more than placated. But the situation with the pork left a less than sweet taste in our mouths.
Meals did not come out together. One came out after rest of table had finished another grossly over cooked. Server disappeared and did not address issues. No apology until we asked for the bill and then they offered to remove an entree Terrible experience and embarrassed I recommended as our dinner choice
Slow service. Great food.
One Eared Stag never disappoints . Nice brunch menu and wine list. Good service. A little bit noisy but not as bad as some restaurants in Atlanta. Over all a good experience.
We had a great time, cocktails were great, but it took 2 hours to get our entrees after ordering. The owner comped one round of drinks which was very nice, but still...
It might have been an off day, but everything we ordered was way too salty.
Great space. Terrible food. Overcooked fish. Nice presentation of everything but the food part of the dinner, the important bit, no so good.
Always our go to brunch spot when friends or family come to visit.
Highly recommend the $1 oyster happy hours! Drink menu was just OK, hard to find something we wanted. But the bartender was quick to fill in the gaps.
