Good food in a nice place. Staff very helpful and a wonderful view.
I think the overall restaurant was great and if it was near the windows it would have been better. But it was noisy and crowded. Food was good but not great ! I had to spend money which was $300 on observatory just to get into restaurant and the observatory wasn’t even worth it at that hour cause of reflection!
Amazing views and food and service was excellent. Laura
Food was ok. Don’t expect to have good food experience but view is Great! You are on top if the world !
This was one of the nicest diner I ever had.
The place was perfect and the service really nice.
Magical, memorable and the best view in New York food pretty good too.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner and were disappointed with some of the dishes: The cheese crusted bread was fridge cold, the turkey was not sliced or thinly cut..it was a whole solid block of turkey which was even difficult for an adult to cut, the salad had no dressing (when we asked for dressing one of the waiters offered gravy (?) and the other brought dressing "free of charge" (??)) , the desserts were grocery store quality and the red house wine who knows what it was. From our perspective it was too pricey for the quality of the meal. The view is the best and the opportunity to visit the observatory as well, but the dinning not so good.
Special Thanksgiving menu, although the ambience and location were superb, the food was not impressive at all, the meat was dry and everything else was less than average. Disappointed for the amount of money that was spent for this special occasion.
Good overall experience but ridiculously expensive prix fixed. $570 for 3 people...observatory tickets are $32 so that's only $96 if the experience.
Our table was not the best of the restaurant but the view was incredible the same. Some guests were very noisy, probably someone of the restaurant could tell them something, but the food was very good and the experience unforgettable!
Service was great, food was very good and the view breath taking. I highly recommend this to anyone. It is at least a once in a life time event. But a a local we plan to visit more often.
I think the place is amazing but the restaurant is like a fast food cafeteria. I thought it was going to be much nicer, the food was very good 👌🏻
For the price it was a little underwhelming. Nobody really knew what was going on or just didn’t care to tell us. We weren’t sure if we had a reservation, there was nothing special about it. We had booked it to go for dinner but nobody told us where to go. Average answer was... just follow the crowd... I would recommend this if you were visiting from out of town and wanted to pay an overly expensive meal in very causal atmosphere. Do the tower and have a drink. Do not bother going here for dinner.
Very disappointing experience....too many ‘bugs’
The food was very good.
Disappointed that we had to pay $165.00 for tickets to eat a $350.00 meal just to get to the restaurant.
Also, there should be some security in the Observatory that is right below the dining restaurant as the people in the observatory were loud and obnoxious. Kids running around screaming, kicking the benches and just very loud in general. Ruined the dining experience for us and trying to enjoy the views.
We were also informed that we could not have dessert as the restaurant was closing in 20 minutes and we would not have enough time. Very impolite!!!
Amazing experience. Was visiting from the UK for my partners birthday and emailed ahead of time. It was fairly quiet but the best table in the house with amazing views over Manhattan. 1000% recommend.
The service was great also the view. I proposed to my gf and everything went great
Way overpriced. Right next to cafe. Staff not knowledgeable.
Best view in the city! Service was great and food was excellent
Fantastic place for a special occasion and food was delicious! Highly recommend. View is spectacular.
It's not for New Yorker who wants a romantic elegant dinner. It's catered for tourists and too casual for a fine dining. We thought the view would be magnificent but it's a meh. Food is too pricey for a casual dining. We paid $100 each for prix fixe 3-course dinner but Not all entrees are available for this package. Additional $20 for a fatty steak or $14 for a lamb chop, etc. The price is including admission fee to see the Observatory but it's not worth it. However, we enjoyed the 2-minute elevator rides. The interior and dining area look like a school cafeteria, chair and table are not properly dressed or covered with table cloth that you may fine in a fine dining restaurant. Service was okay if you like Ihop or your neighborhood diner's service. I dined in The Windows on the World when the twin towers were still exist but its replacement is completely failed. This place has a potential to be a good, nice, and elegant restaurant if they know how to manage it. One suggestion: they should not ask people to pay the Observatory ticket just to eat at this restaurant.
Aside from fact that they take you through a service entrance - if handicap/stroller access is needed - which is just off kitchen and likely violates NYC Food/Health Code - the food is poor quality - limited menu options. We had a waitress that wasn’t attentive - even though place was empty... and two bus boys that were so desperate to do something that they stood over our table and would swoop in to remove your plate as soon as you took the last form of food off it (sometimes before). Couldn’t tell you if they have coffee or tea - we were never asked... and when we asked - didn’t actually get offered any. Over priced... would avoid at any cost. Huge disappointment. Advice - fire “executive chef” and train your staff on how to tend to customers.
The restaurant definitely offers one-of-a-kind views! We had a picturesque view of the Empire State Building. If I did it again, I would just have a drink at the bar. The food was pricey (expected) and the service was ambivalent (perhaps due to required/included 18% tip?). Dessert looked good - may be a good spot for a celebratory first or last stop on a tour of the city but there is better food to be had.
The waitress named Jasmine was very prompt n nice with her service. There was no music not even a little sound
This was a very cool experience. The food was good but the view was everything. The portions were very small and I’m a hungry gal. Don’t send me an appetizer that wouldn’t even put a dent in my 2 year old nephew’s stomach. More food please. Especially at these prices.
The service was very polite and patient. The food was delicious, from the burger, duck to the pecan pie dessert. Great food with beautiful view.
Beautiful forever views - went at night. We had to buy a ticket for the
Observatory to get in, was more cafeteria like then it was a special place to dine- food was fair at best but at least not overpriced for what it was. My recommendations would be go to a nice dinner before or after and just go there for views!
Very Disappointing for a special evening we thought we would have!
Enjoyed every moment at this Reaturant, outstanding food and service, would recommend to put this on your to do list if you are visiting New York. 10/10
I would recommend the restaurant for the sheer experience. Unfortunately, I was not happy with my meal.
We went for the view. After looking at the menu and pricing online I assumed this would be a 4-star experience. Food was underwhelming and the entire dining area; tables and finishes, were dated. It felt more like cafeteria seating. BUT we had a great evening bc it’s about the company you keep, not the food in the end. You can’t beat the view! Skip dinner and just have a drink at the bar before heading back to ground level.
Nice place and good food. The portions are big!
We booked a lunch at ONE Dine while we were visiting the observatory. We had our three kids (ages 14, 11, and 7). The meal was very good. They had a suitable kids menu and we were able to have a drink with our meal. Overall, it was little pricey, but the food was good and the view was amazing. I’d highly recommend it.
accommodated 45 minutes early (really appreciated)
service was great and the food tasty
location is top notch with wonderful views
reservations were easy to accomplish on line
the only down side are the prices considering
the requirement to purchase tickets to One World Observatory
overall a great experience but can only afford to do this once
In one word - underwhelming. Expected fine dining in one of New York’s most renowned landmark buildings to celebrate a special occasion, but was met by a rude hostess (which was at least cancelled out by an exceptional waitress - thank you Rachel), mediocre food served with dirty cutlery, and beautiful views in a noisy room.
Hostess was on the phone for quite some time, never looking up to say she’d be with us in a minute, smile, or any type of acknowledgement. Another server came by maybe a whole 5 minutes later and put up the sectioning/partition ribbon before asking us if we needed anything or if anyone was helping us. Upon seating, under my menu was hair folded into my napkin. The forks were covered in soap scum. Wine glass had hard water/soap scum stains around the rim. Steak knife was dull and the handle cracked. The food was good (however, there were chunks of just fat in the steak and the polenta could’ve used some salt), but not mind blowing.
A meal for 2 was roughly $160 (they include 18% gratuity in the bill), in addition to the the general admission tickets, another $70, you must purchase to gain access to the restaurant/floor. For roughly $230, nothing about our dinner at this restaurant was worth it.
nice ambiance and courteous server and hosts, I had a turkey sandwich did not like much. the view the best exceptional! it would have fair not to go through the theater and all because I was just there to have lunch but in gross a 5 stars athmosphere
We of course went there for the Experience and it was amazing the view of course is second to none. The food was great which was unexpected. We had the Ribeye and the burger. Both were fantastic especially the ribeye I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor and finished every bite. We went for sunset definitely recommend that.
Lovely evening for my 60th Birthday 👍 Everything was good the service and the food 👍
Better to have reservations later in the evening to try and avoid all the TOURISTS!!!!!
The view is amazing. The ambiance feels as though we went back in time to cafeteria style—and over priced food. Slow service. Food served tepid.
Sadly, we expected something as special as Columbia Center in Seattle.
