After reading the reviews, I didn’t have great expectations. We were a party of 3 and were seated on a table nearest the glass. We started with a shrimp cocktail, pretty presentation and it had good flavor. We each ordered a different entree. Atlantic Salmon, Cornish game hen and the rib-eye. All were excellent. Great flavors, nicely plated, moist and well seasoned.
The waiter was fairly attentive and offered us another round of beverages because our entree was delayed.
What a disappointment! Don't be me... don't fall for the marketing, don't think that there is any fairness in the reservation system... neither is true. First, the restaurant is very small, and much of the view, especially from the middle of the restaurant is obstructed by structural masonry. Despite its small size, there were available tables on a Saturday at 6:30p (the latest and last booking time). Idiot that I was... I woke up early, exactly one month in advance (when reservations open) to get a good table. Here's what you should know... there are only 2 tables for 2 people with the good views and these are outside the kitchen. All the other 2 person tables are in the middle of the restaurant between the 4 tops at the rail (with the view) or the raised booths. So, if you want a good table make sure you are 4 people, or you'll get stuck in the middle. Don't get me wrong, the had 2 people in the booths, but I guess it wasn't based on how far ih advance you booked or what you requested in Opentable. Food was ok, but nothing special. Service is what you'd expect from an 18% gratuity included - underwelming. Fried calamari appetizer was the best thing we ordered. Steak, branzino and prosciutto aren't worth a special mention. We had a pretty easy time getting up there, not as crowded as I thought it would be. Dress code isn't observed. We dressed for a nice evening out. But the table in shirts who were clearly walk ins got a better table than we did.
Good food, great view and average service. Views are amazing
Wer das alte „Windows on the World“ kennt ist entsetzt.
We had an excellent experience let’s face it with a view like that and good food it couldn’t be anything else. However you do pay way over the odds for it. We were shocked at the prices over 70$ for 2 beers and 2 gin and tonics and dinner for 4 was over 250$ we only had mains and a bottle of wine
The view was great, but the food was overpriced, undercooked and very limited selection. Overall, not worth the price, go see the Observation deck, skip the resturant.
We loved dining with the spectacular views of Manhattan. What was really disappointing was the poor quality of the food. I don’t know if they are limited in terms of the kinds of stove, ovens, grills to use but the ribs we had were dried out and did not look freshly made. The beans and red peppers that were served with my Brazino were canned and even the presentation was awful. My fish fillet was dry but looked oily, not grilled as expected, I have no idea how was it cooked... would not go to that restaurant if it was no for the views.
Rachel is great
I’ve been in this restaurant several times before. They have changed the menu since last time I was there and honestly this isn’t great. Other than that the service continues to be great and the drinks are amazing
The experience of dining at the top of World Trade makes it worthwhile. Very noisy from the folks below but the energy is part of the experience. Two tips about reservations.... if you make them in advance you are more likely to get a table right by a window. But also know that you need to add at least half an hour (during off tourist hours) or longer to get upstairs. You have to get in line with everyone going up to the Observatory and see a movie.
I had eaten lunch here but never dinner. We wanted to watch the lights come on as it got dark. Unfortunately, it was foggy so we didn’t see much but we still had a great time & the burger was great!
Expensive but worth it
Building was a little shaky but there were high winds we enjoyed the steak and service was good
Very reasonably priced and great food in truly top of NYC and perhaps the best place in the world. It was my wife's 60th birthday, and a surprise one at that. She enjoyed very much and cherished the experience. Thank you all
We had an amazing time at OneDine! Big thanks to Sayed (our waiter) for the outstanding tour of the city and storytelling. That was an experience in it self!
Very enjoyable experience, not rushed, excellent views
The view is spectacular, and the service was excellent. Our salmon was delicious, but it is a "difficult" menu. We didn't find much that we would have enjoyed for lunch.
Bumpy start but recovered by the manager and server that took over. Nobody ever likes to be the server that has to pick up a table that’s been waiting for 20 minuets but Ali did a fabulous job and Megan took great care of us too. Way to recover the situation ladies!!!!
The restaurant at the Observatory is great if you're trying to impress a person who's never been to New York City before. The view is certainly wonderful (though hazy the day we went), and I suppose that's the majority of what you're paying for. I can't figure out otherwise how they can get away with charging nearly $20 for a piece of burrata and nearly the same for meatballs that were...well..fine.
Went for daughter’s 13th as we’re in NYC visiting from UK. Had announced this. Table was not ready for us, we were told bar was full so “come back in 15mins”! We had already visited the observatory since you have to buy tickets to go up to restaurant. So we went back down to observatory for another lap. When table was ready they wished my husband a happy 30th, we had to tell them no it’s our daughter’s 13th! They brought me watermelon soup when I ordered Burrata so husband had to wait for my starter to get there before he could eat his! At end of meal ordered a dessert only to get a candle in it for our daughter but rules of the Tower are that that’s not possible, which is fine but as I wrote this as my special request months ago it might have been nice to be told ahead of time, we wouldn’t have ordered the pana cotta covered in vinegar!
I was disappointed in the view and that was the main reason I booked the reservation. The food was good but nothing I couldn’t get somewhere else in New York City for less money. Would I go there again? No.
Salmon was crisp and cooked perfectly. Waitress was friendly and available when needed. View was OK but not great since didn't get by window. Would go back next to just for sheek food and taste.
Risotto was painfully salty.
Fantastic food and unbelievable views. Quite pricey but worth the money
une superbe vue mais relativement cher comme repas. On y va pour la vue et le fait de manger dans la One tower
Went on a date with my fiancée, had a great experience. The view is amazing and the food was reasonably priced.
I ordered Salmon. It was over cooked and I had the chef redo it. Had to ask for bread. Chardonnay was delightful. Menu was expensive. I would recommend anyone visiting One World Trade and paying to go to the observatory deck, stop by for a glass of wine to enjoy the view.
You have to buy an observatory ticket for each person in your reservation. We did not realize this until we arrived, so we were forced to buy the Priority Access at $65/person.
Allow plenty of time to get to the restaurant. You are required to go through the observatory tour process which takes approximately 30 minutes.
Ok mesl if you happen to be visiting the WTC but not a destination unto itself.
Food good, wsiter nice
Little things like:
Paying to go to the Trade Center just to go for dinner
No steak sauce??
Didn’t sing happy birthday
If you are there ok mesl otherwise nicer venues elsewhere.
Very good experience but tickets to Observation deck should be included at a discounted rate.
This was the best! The steak was cooked perfectly and was a beautiful cut. The fries were delicious, better than I've had in a long time. And the salmon was cooked perfectly too and bursting with flavor. Perfect brocollini. Delicious. Great service with a smile too.
Good food, expensive for what we got. Servers were nice but very slow. Amazing view.
Wonderful service great food very pricy so would only do on a special occasion
Great place to dine whilst visiting NYC, the views were the icing on the cake!
Ridiculous. Food very mediocre. View spectacular.
Who will pay $40 to ride up the elevator and then be charged another 60-80 for food.
There was no hot coffee available after our meal
Super Expensive, but the view is worth every penny!!
We booked a table after our VIP Master Card tour for food and cocktails. We were an hour early as the tour didn’t take as long as expected but were still accommodated with a table. The food was beyond our expectations with a lot of choice. We read a few reviews saying the food was expensive but we didn’t think so, for the food we had and the quantity of the servings we thought the pricing was more than reasonable. Our waiter Andrew/Andre was exceptional, he recommended wine pairings and made us feel so welcome. He encouraged us to stay and enjoy the sunset view, he even surprised us with some complimentary sorbet. All together we were in the restaurant over 4 hours and were never made to feel it was time to go. I could not fault anything and would absolutely recommend dining if you are visiting the tower.
Asked for burger without bacon, Got bacon.
Asked for steak medium well got well done....Sever terrible manners...
wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. the view doesnot match the building in which it resides . overalll terrible
Thanks for making my birthday a memorable one!!! LOVED the ribs
The view is spectacular, The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a New York City experience
