Nice view , but food could be better and finest for this type of restaurant
Lobster roll just killed what would be an amazing experience. It was massive, and felt like there was more filler than lobster meat. Tuna tower was great, but after a quick trip the upper northeast this lobster sandwich was seriously lacking in comparison to roadside drive thrus. With the ambiance and cost of getting to this place this roll just turned what would have been an unforgettable great experience to a bad unforgettable experience
4 Stars overall because the view makes up for all of the shortfalls.
The service was OK. We asked the server what popular items were and he had to look at the menu and sounded like he made up the options - wasn't very convincing so we did not take his advice. He didn't come around much either and I found him to be pleasant but also short when visiting the table. Shout-out to the man re-filling our water though - he did not miss a beat and we never had an empty glass of water. Ordered the wings, riblets, ahi tuna, & potato wedges - both the wings & riblets came out room temperature. Riblets were overcooked & wings could have been cooked a little longer, sauce for each was very tasty though. ahi tuna was good but presentation could use some work. The potato wedges were the best item I had! For dessert we ordered the cookie sundae, which sounded good on paper but totally underwhelming - cookie was massive but was so overcooked and dry, thankfully the vanilla gelato was there to moisten the cookie and offer some respite to the crumbli-ness of the cookie. After dinner we sat at the bar facing North, we weren't acknowledged until we asked if we could order drinks there, but once we ordered the bartender was quick to serve the drinks. Again, only giving a 4 because the views are spectacular. But I wouldn't come again considering you need to pay for tickets to the observatory just to access this restaurant - overall not worth any repeat visits, but nice to have once in a lifetime experience.
Our waitress Andrea was fenomenal along with the rest of the staff
I was expecting more, but has a great view and great service
I expected much better service and food from a restaurant like this. The food was ok, but was not the best, and was pricy. The service and the internal design was mediocre. Do not have high expectations from this restaurant.
Omg I have the best experience I’m in love with this place amazing view, amazing environment with perfect music you really feel in New York, our server frank really made our night He was kind, attentive to our needs, he informed us very well about the schedules of the place, thanks to that I did not miss the opportunity to take the best photos I give 5 star just because the don’t have 10 stars highly recommended
You’ll pay high end prices here but it’s all about the view. Staff was polite and helpful food was very good.
If it wasn't for Matt the Manager, the review would have been 2 stars. It seemed like there weren't enough servers. We requested a table near the balcony so we can see the sunset but I was seated in table of 4 near the entrance. Walking across for restroom, i did notice a table for 4 that was empty. I assume we had a stroller and kids and that is why they didn't want us near the "cool" crowd. Overall was a good experience but i didn't get to sit where i wanted. Restaurant should know that their patrons spent a good amount of money just to be there and expect their wishes to be reasonably met. I understand restaurant was booked but you don't book table itself, you book space. There was space available for 4 where we wanted, and restaurant staff decided not to give us that table. I feel there was discrimination against families with young kids. Just remember you all were kids at some point and how would you feel about being treated like this. People who get annoyed with kids need to open their eyes because it is brave parents like us who had to raise you and this is how you recognize the sacrifices. Remember your own parents.
Nice experience. Good food.
We had no idea who our waiter was as there was no follow up, no pouring of our champagne, no checking if everything was ok. We had to ask the server to find out waiter just to order our food in the first place. We gave the feedback to the manager. Otherwise great views, nice food - just really ruined by the poor (lack of) service on what was meant to be a special occasion.
The interior and overall experience unfortunately did not meet my expectations
Bread was stale, the server didn’t even come back after we got our food. If it wasn’t for the view of the city, I would never eat at such an overpriced establishment again.
All very good ......................................
Stunning views and very friendly staff, a classic city dining experience!
Enjoyed a wonderful birthday lunch at One World. The food was excellent. Gnocci mac and cheese was light and airy with crisp browned crust. Perfect! The kitchen is paying attention to the details. Even the basic green salad was "elevated" with the quality and crispness of the ingredients and the dashes of sea salt. View was awesome. A relaxed dining experience, which is what I wanted at 100+ floors high.
Perfect sunset, with the added bonus of fireworks over the Hudson (actually below us!).
Beautiful view. Our waitress was very attentive, polite, and personable.
It’s all about the view, but the service was impeccable also. We purchased the brunch with a view package which I wouldn’t do again next time. You have a very limited selection of food and drinks. I would recommend just buying entry, making a reservation at the restaurant, and ordering off the regular menu. Overall an outstanding experience!
Can’t beat the view! Good food and service. Special occasion experience.
The food is ok but nothing memorable. With out the $15 credit included with my ticket, it’s definitely over priced for what you are getting.
I would only recommend this for the experience. Dont have high expectations.
Good food great views and service was good. If your looking for exquisite dining this isn’t it but food was really good with a limited menu. Drinks were great
The view is spectacular. We were not aware that to dine at the restaurant, you had to also purchase tickets to the observatory (approximately $60/person). Once at the table, we were not greeted for over 10 minutes and service did not improve from there. Dinner was good, not exceptional. Additionally, they automatically add an 18% gratuity.
Expected a fancy restaurant and got a food court in a tourist trap. Being on the 100 floor gave a beautiful view but don’t understand why there was a $50 threat if you don’t show for your reservation. Opened at 1pm so had to wait around to get in and served. View was pretty but should have ordered at other food court as there are plenty of places to sit without an expensive reservation. Disappointed to say the least.
This restaurant provides an incredible view of Manhattan and the surrounding rivers, while offering fantastic high-end fare. Would highly recommend to all visitors to One World Observatory!
Expensive, but you pay for the view. Food was good and so was the service.
Overall my son and I had a great experience. A memorable time that will last for a life time. The only thing that could be better would be if their menu had a few more choices.
The kitchen area has an air quality issue
Great food and excellent service . Frank was great.
This was a fantastic experience. The views were spectacular and the food was amazing. We celebrated our Anniversary and the servers were very professional. We definitely will be back when visiting New York!
View was spectacular, food was great, waiters were attentive
No window tables were available and without one the view is not that great. Also it's very expensive.
I had a wonderful experience at One Dine. The restaurant manager called me one the day of my reservation to confirm and provide advices on how/when to arrive. Even though we arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time, we got table right away. We were greeted with a special occasion card.
The restaurant has small, well curated food menu, and a huge drinks menu. The food and drinks all were so well prepared. Strawberry Fields ("Lemonade") was good. The Branzino was so delicious, crispy skin, with perfectly soft filet. Rest of the ingredients completed the fish. The Fliet Mignon and Lobster tail was equally a star. The Lobster tail was soft and already cleaned from it's shell. The steak was delicately cooked, very tender. We also got the Lava cake for dessert, again delicious. It was the perfect end to a memorable evening!!!!
Because the restaurant requires buying tickets to One world observatory, it discourages me to visit this place more often.
Food and drinks were nice but not as fancy as one would expect. I didn't think the ONE World Observatory lived up to it's high cost by any means. The view was nice but the Edge was much more worth it, given the observatory was outside. I also disliked the limited engagement offered at ONE World - the need to purchase the virtual tour separately on the ipad is ridiculous when the cost is already so high just go go up an elevator and walk around a room with floor to ceiling windows. The restaurant itself also wasn't that great - tables are not even situated by the windows - you're just on a balcony.
Very limited meal options for a very expensive brunch.
Wow!!! What a wonderful experience. Expectations were pretty low for a location that seemed to be a sure tourist trap. It wasn’t. The food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and professional. Of course the views are incredible. We booked a later time to allow ending the night seeing the city all lit up. If you are going to go to the observatory, definitely make a reservation and cap off the experience.
It was awesome! The food was great and the view was phenomenal!
They brought out my dairy free boyfriend the wrong meal.. Mac and cheese. Then I paid $45 for a steak I asked for medium rare which came out well done and SO chewy/tough. Then there was chunks of something in his wine glass which he had to spit out and it was so disgusting. Then I asked for a dairy free desert for his birthday and they brought out a giant chocolate chip cookie.. again definitely not dairy free. For spending hundreds of dollars, this was absolutely not worth it.
Everyone we came in contact with was superb, from Jackson who saved us a gorgeous spot just like he said he'd try to do, to our two servers who made sure everything was perfect, the visit was exactly what we had hoped it would be!
