ONE Dine at One World Observatory Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant experience was great. It is rather expensive considering the fact that you must buy tickets to the Freedom Tower first in order to dine there. For a group or a family, the cost is pretty high. But of course, the place and the view is amazing! Great for a special occasion!
We had a lunch reservation and hoped for a cozy table for a first visit. We were seated in an overhang with tourists below. It was not the views I’d hoped for, lots of noise and commotion. The menu didn’t have many vegetarian options so we had cocktails and appetizers instead of lunch. The calamari and wine added to a very enjoyable day.
Awful, just awful. We had the worst service. We ordered drinks and they came late, we ordered food and couldn't find the server to get the side of cheese we asked for. The food tasted horrible. Nothing special. Please don't waste your money. Just go to see the view.
After waiting for 15 minutes without a waiter coming to our table, I asked a gentleman who then went to get the waiter. The waiter finally comes to get out order but does not introduce himself and seems quite annoyed. It was very disappointing to travel from Georgia after reading great reviews online to then be serviced this way. I noticed the menu says 18% gratuity is included which in my opinion gives the waiters little incentive to be nice. Regardless of the service they will get ther tip.
My fiancée and I enjoyed our time here very much!! The view was spectacular but what made the experience even more incredible was our waiter Andrey. He was extremely personable, professional and very helpful in cocktail suggestions and food suggestions. He made our first dinner date of 2018 one that we will never forget. THANK YOU Andrey for your hospitality, kindness and service. What a memorable experience.
Mil veces recomendado.
We celebrated my parent's 50th wedding anniversary at One Dine. Imhad read reviews that the food was not good relative to the price so my expectations were exceeded in that regard. The view was awesome. We planned our reservation an hour before sunset and had 30 minutes to enjoy the observatory before we got our table. The view from the restaurant looks north, and during the winter there was no view of the sunset from the restaurant. Having both daylight and nighttime views was very nice. There was only one thing that bothered me: the kids menu was ridiculous. $22 for a meal that no toddler would eat. We got a side of fries for our 4 year old. They should also have a kids dessert, like one scoop of gelato instead of the three scoops we had to get.
We were held up over an hour below, simply trying to get into the restaurant. We bought tickets for 4:30pm as instructed by the staff the day prior, to get a lift to the observatory and made reservations at 5:00pm. We showed up at 4:00pm but did not get to the restaurant until 5:45 due to the crowd and poor organization of the one tower observation staff. Apparently, the ticket booth on site sold more tickets and combined with the online purchases, it created the massive delay. Overall the restaurant was nice. We ordered calamari, salmon, rib eye, and a burger. The food was delicious. We tried the beers and unfortunately they were not the best. The restaurant chooses to only offer local and New York Brewery Beers. It seems as if craft beers are not New York's strong suit. Overall, 4 out of 5.
When booking a Dine One reservation beware! You'll have to pay to visit the observatory before or after your meal. That is the only way to the restuarant. The Observatory is owned by the Port Authority but, you'll need to pay them before you can go up to the restuarant.
I reserved a table for our anniversary. I specifically requested a window table knowing the view would be amazing.
When we showed up to the restaurant at the reserve time we were told that we would have to wait for a window. 10, 15 min became 30,40 min. We finally got a table right by the bar.
No where near a window overlooking the lower level ( observatory). The Noise level did not allow us to a conversation.
The food was mediocre, the service was about average.
Our server took our drink order and we waited about 30 min for the drinks. Our drinks showed up with our appetizer.
The ambiance is nice though, the views are amazing.
However we will not comeback for a meal.
Phenomenal dining experience - wasn’t expecting a lot as it was a restaurant within a destination. The quality of the food was a pleasant surprise. The service and flexibility of the staff was awesome. Definitely worth the visit.
We had a reservation, but needed to be seated before our time due to the kids, and they were very accommodating.
3 very unappealing choices for brumch led me to go with the burger. Who puts COLD slaw on a burger? And putting COLD slaw on a tasteless, already lukewarm burger (very likely pre-cooked and pushed to the "keep sort of warm" area on the grill)...that's just ridiculous. Cannot recommend your restaurant to anyone other than maybe for an overpriced but tasty drink at the bar.
