Food was very good but surprised and disappointed with the $69 price tag on the ribeye special which was double any menu entree. Overall not a friendly dining experience.

Based on other reviews, I had high expectations for the restaurant that I chose for an anniversary. The ambiance was nice, and the noise level was pretty low, given the crowd. However, the tables were crowded, especially along the far wall, and getting in and out was like working a finger puzzle. The wait staff didn't help, so we were left to move tables ourselves to accommodate ourselves and neighbors.

I had a chicken dish that sounded great on the menu (in some kind of wine sauce), but was disappointed to find that it was something like a quarter chicken with bones, in a bowl with lots of liquid. It made it very difficult to cut the meat. It was fairly tasty, but then again, it was chicken.

The wines were very expensive. A 9 ounce glass set me back about $18, and the wine was just okay.

The dessert I had was great - an apple tart. My wife had a cookie with ice cream, which turned out to be tasty, but too much.

Glad to have had the chance to try it out, but will try someplace else next time.

One 53 has terrific food and excellent service. Their wine list is very good too. Had the Gravlox on potato pancakes followed by halibut cheeks with fries and green salad. All was delicious!

Great service, clean and simple ambience highlighted some amazing food! Seriously, the Rossi burger is THE best burger I’ve ever had, hands down....Kobe beef with foi gras, wild mushroom and black truffle was spectacular. Served with hand cut fries and aioli, not to be missed. Apps, drinks and desserts were excellent as well, and fair prices, we will definitely be back.

Great date night location! Pros were the food was delicious and waiters were very friendly. They have complimentary valet which helps with the limited parking. Cons were the tables were so close together I felt like I was on date night with strangers. It was also very warm. Another negative was our waiter didn’t tell us about a dessert special. Good thing the waiter for the table next to us told his customers. And since we were so close, we heard it from him and ordered it. The lemon tarte was very delicious.

Overall food was good,Not rushed but felt need to leave after finishing meal with people waiting in view for table. Also foun tables too close together. Did not like sitting near bar and front-would be muchmore enjoyable further back. Service OK but also a bit rushed.

Good food but only had one server when our group was there and therefore it was a bit slow but the food is consistently good.

This is a regular go-to place for my wife and me. Never had a bad meal. Service friendly. Nice variety to the menu, which changes enough to keep it interesting.
