Excellent find in Princeton area. We wull return with friends.
Excellent food, well prepared and well presented. Be prepared for a noisy environment - This could be a good place for a lively group, but not for a romantic dinner.
It was good as usual. I would have appreciated a more quiet spot for a date.
Food is always fresh and amazing! Our waiter was spot on !
Birthday dinner ! Scott the waiter was detached and in a hurry . Yet he had rime to stand by the bar and talk to his co workers. Not returning in a hurry!
Sent directly to Katie
Went for New Orleans menu but disappointing. The food, steak Diane and the creole chicken were not authentic in recipe or flavors. The Bananas Foster were tasty but over cooked and not flamed at table. The food was not bad but just not right. But the sezerac cocktail was good and used the right bitters.
Like the restaurant in general but they missed on this menu.
Always great food. Beware, tables are close and the noise level is higher than average. But the food and service make it a top choice for us.
The waiter asked if I was done eating when my dinner partner was still eating. Very bad move but common. Why don't they train wait staff better?
Awesome as always. This is a truly outstanding restaurant.
Great food and service!
Food was very good... some interesting combinations, portions were decent....was not impressed with the service. Server said she would be back with bread which we never received. Had to ask twice for lemon for my water, also had to ask for water refills. My dates wine came out after we finished that course.
I’m not a fan of the very close seating but that being said, the noise level was tolerable
Beautiful, quaint place with delicious food and great service. A bit on the pricey side, but probably justified because the food is so good.
This place is our go to special occasion restaurant. Food is amazing. Always interesting to see new seasonal items on the menu. Our waiter David is always attentive and his recommendation this time was a home run with the rack of Lamb!
Bartenders Craig and Will always enhance the dining experience at ONE53.
This is a quaint restaurant with an amazing menu. It's good for date night or just hanging out. Good drink menu and they have interesting updates to the menu to always keep things fresh.
One53 has a high quality menu and consistently strong food preparation. The service can be spotty at the tables - better at the small bar. Overall a very good restaurant although prices seem a bit high for the area and the cuisine.
We were initially seated in front of the kitchen but asked to be moved. Once moved we had to ask for menus once our server came by some time later. Tables are very close together so you hear conversations of couples on either side. The room was nearly full and super loud. Our server was pleasant but did not offer much details about the menu. We enjoyed what we ordered very much but the value was not good. $15 for a 5oz glass of house wine is outrageous. Entrees were around $30 each. Portion size was spot on.
We all had pasta and real good and fresh. Service could have been a bit more attentive. Bar drinks were somewhat disappointing. But overall good experience.
The restaurant was noisy and the food was bland no flavor at all. We expected a high end restaurant but it was not at all.
Great restaurant. A bit pricey but good food and atmosphere
Great hamburgers. Very noisy. Slow kitchen. Reasonable value for the money.
Don’t sit next to bar. Can’t hear yourself think. ESP when other tables open. So why did we sit right next to bar? Mains awesome. Best choo ever. My eyes are good, can’t see menu. Coconut cake very dry or old. But icing yum. Why do I have to txt valet when it’s one guy?
awesome food and Service in a nice discrete location! Must try!
Very friendly staff and consistently excellent food.
Carla is the best server on the planet and we were lucky enough to have her taking care of us. Super Chicken Cacciatore. Great flounder. Wonderful scallops. Great meal.
Another great dinner at ONE 53. The service is friendly and professional. The food is always excellent with regular specials and fresh seafood. Highly recommended!
Too cramped, too bright.
The food and cocktails were very good as all as service.
Our experience started out poorly; the young lady who greeted us at the door was unfriendly and didn't make any attempt to find us a seat that was not in the most crowded section where the tables were only inches apart. I will say that the waitress serving us, was considerate , friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, well prepared and served at the proper temperature. All in all I'm not sure I would recommend this restaurant to anyone celebrating an anniversary.
Attentive servers and excellent food, great menu variety, a great experience.
We always love coming to One 53 and always have a terrific experience. Our party enjoyed the grilled Caesar, burgers and fries, swordfish, and a side of shaved Brussel sprouts with bacon and shallots. Everything was delicious, served in a timely manner and the servers were also very attentive but not overly so. We also enjoyed a root beer float and the incredible hot brownie a la mode for dessert. Everything was scrumptious!
I have been going to One 53 for a decade or more. It is consistently top-notch. I have never had a so-so meal here. Friday was typical: fish—salmon for my partner, swordfish for me (the special)—perfectly prepared, sides excellent. And service always splendid.
We were celebrating my daughter going back to school on a Thursday night. Parking is always an issue here. With a small lot in the rear
We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The food was great, I had the flat iron steak, my wife had the rabbit ragu pappardella and my daughter had the strip steak Everything was excellent!
The restaurant was crowded. Maybe the solid floors made it a little too loud or the closeness of table and a large loud party next to us. But it was a little distracting.
The service was good. A little too much delay between the main course and dessert and dessert and receiving the bill.
I will definitely be back.
Very disappointed with Char-Grilled Flat Iron with a relatively inflated price. Feedback from other companied were also so so.
Really good food. Full bar with great special drinks. Not a fan of the seating configuration- very close to the people at the next table. Excellent service.
The tables are too close together, our service was inconsistent and the food was good, but not fantastic.
Our second visit and it was just as nice as our first one. One 53 has a lot of style, excellent food prep, and innovative menu, and not so pricey as to be insulting. My wife enjoyed the house salad and a fresh pasta with rabbit ragout, both of which she thoroughly enjoyed. I enjoyed a creamy polenta and sauteed mushrooms and a grilled Mahi Mahi, both of which I highly recommend. Don't miss their hand cut fries and ask for the truffle-infused mayo to go with them. The staff were nicely attentive and the bar scene lively and fun. My only rub is the wine list, which is heavily tilted above $100 but I did find a better than expected CabSav (incorrectly marketed as a Super Tuscan) for $55. One 53 is two for two now with us and we will definitely be back.
Wonderful dinner in Wine Cellar, which was quieter than upstairs on New Year’s Eve. Happy to choose from a regular menu, with a few specials, and no fanfare. Steak, lamb, pork and fish were all fresh and cooked to perfection. Drink and wine suggestions were right on. Pleasant, friendly and efficient service made for a really nice dining experience to conclude 2019. Also, staff was accommodating when we had a last minute switch in our reservation from 2 to 4 people, even though it was difficult to navigate.
The food was outstanding and was a perfect evening as usual. A number of specials, which we had 2, were perfect. Desserts were chocolate overkill. Excellent evening.
Great food, service and atmosphere. A little noisy, but to be expected. Worth the drive!
