We use the freshest ingredients available, including locally-grown produce and fresh seafood daily. My wife and I booked a reservation for two people on January 15th for a dinner on February 10th through OpenTable, so nearly a month in advance. When we arrived on February 10th, the restaurant was not open. It may well be closed for the winter season. If we had been contacted during that month to let us know that the restaurant was not serving, we would have happily booked somewhere else and had no complaint. However, we were not informed that the restaurant would be closed, by any party, via email or the phone. We came away disappointed and surprised by the lack of professionalism.

If you are considering a reservation at the restaurant (it looks like OpenTable is still accepting reservations at the time of this review), I would confirm directly with the restaurant that they are serving customers that night.

Nothing too special. Good food with decent creativity. Stay clear of any steak as the meat was tough a shoe leather and Walmart quality at best. Spinach and goat cheese salad was great, the other salads blaring and taste like they are out of a bag. The service was ok, although white table cloth they clear plates individually which is a no no if u r shooting for high end. So this is causal dining and it’s ok.

Meh. It was average food that was overpriced. At night and there are no lights illuminating the pond, so there really wasn't any view. The food seemed like a menu from the 90s, so nothing new and exciting. The duck I ate was good, but could be better. My wife had the trout and it was not good. How does a restaurant in "trout country" not have a good trout dish? There are many better choices in Highlands , NC. Meh. If you love food, this is not the place for you. If you want something average and overpriced, then you will enjoy it.

Food was very good but the piano was much too loud; it was difficult to have conversations. Quieter music would be nice.

The food was excellent. Wait staff was cheerful and very helpful. The wine list and menu are both world class. Elegant but not stuffy atmosphere. There is a wine bar with live jazz. Altogether a great evening!! Highly recommend.

We ate here for Thanksgiving Buffet and the food and service were very good. This restaurant is located on a river and we were able to sit on the veranda and
have an excellent view of the river. It was perfect for Thanksgiving!

Disappointed by the high cost and low quality. Two in our party sent their halibut entree back because it was over done, almost tough. The veranda was so noisy, we could hardly have a conversation.
