On The Marsh Bistro Ratings and Reviews
My new favorite restaurant! I hardly ever give 5 stars across the board, but I did for this restaurant. From the moment we drove in to the parking lot, walking through the lovely, whimsical, magical landscape, to opening the door and then viewing the tastefully whimsical and magical interior setting as well, I was enchanted. We had a lovely table for 4 with beautiful comfy wing back chairs with pillows, that I'm pretty sure looked out over the marsh but it was dark so hard to say. Our hostess was extremely welcoming, the server, Beth, delightful. Our water glasses were topped off frequently (maybe a little too often but I'm not complaining). Our drinks were delightful; I loved my blood orange margarita. The lobster bisque was to die for. The small wedge salads delightful. Scallops with bacon, corn and lobster risotto, heavenly - and I don't even like risotto but couldn't pass up the combo. The desserts were out of this world - lemon marscapone cake, apple dumpling (I cannot remember the exact name) warm with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate cake that was also too die for. I'm gushing, but I mean it. We had a wonderful meal with terrific friends further enhanced by a magical setting and staff. We will be back - Bravo!!!
My wife and I had the occasion while visiting Kennebunkport Maine to have a lunch and dinner at On the Marsh. It was wonderful both time. The dinner was just very special. The ambiance is great the lighting is just right for a. Intimate dinner the seating great not on top of the next table. Our waitress was great, very personable and very competent. The quality of the food wax exceptional. I will be back every time I come back to Kennybunk. We would heartily recommend.
Absolutely wonderful all around! We went for an anniversary dinner looking for a romantic night out and it hit all the marks! Gorgeous venue, beautiful piano music, incredible food and delightful service. We were planning our next visit before we even left. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable night!
The restaurant is decorated nicely however it feels very "stiff". The table next to us was empty and the staff rearranged the the seating at it twice while we were trying to eat which was very disruptive as the chairs are quite large. The food was mediocre although the presentation was nicely done.
Our food was perfect .... BUT we kinda lost our waitress when she started to wait on the bar customers... there were only 2 of them..she ignored
us after that .....we did get dessert....but her friendly attitude totally had changed. We will come back again but will probably sit at the bar. Not going to spend. $$$$$ if that's the service you get. Too bad😕
We were seated at the Van Gogh table which was fantastic complete with winged back chairs. Service was great and the food was even better. There was a wedding going on outside and upstairs but did not interfere with our experience at all. Strongly recommend, especially for special occasions.
Wow what a beautiful setting. We sat by the window with a beautiful view. The food, service, and wine list were all outstanding. Also a gorgeous bar. I had lobster with Angel hair pasta and garlic that was so good. My husband had steak also great. Deserts were amazing. A wonderful birthday setting to celebrate.
