Reservation was recommended but unnecessary. Slow night I guess but, was during "restaurant week." Service was quite acceptable and food was very good. Drinks were sorta stingy compared to other restaurants. Would definitely recommend for dining and will return.

Some things were very good, some were not. The chicken liver appetizer was very good. The crab in the crab cake appetizer was very good, but the mustard sauce overwhelmed the crab flavor. I had the blackened grouper over hoppin' johns with braised collards. The fish was good, but not blackened, and the collards overwhelmed everything else so I just ate the collards separately. The blackeyed peas in the hoppin' johns were not done (still hard). My husband had blackened catfish over grits and his grits were cold. We had the chocolate cake and it was great.

A little off the beaten path which we really enjoyed. It was a girls night out and we picked the perfect spot! The service was top notch, friendly and our server knew the menu and how the food was prepared which is always a plus! There were 5 of us and we all ordered something different and each of us loved what we ordered. May I suggest the fried Brussel sprouts, they will change your life! We enjoyed our evening out at On Forty One very much.

Good, reasonably priced food. But you're packed in shoulder to shoulder with the couple at the next table. And it's LOUD. You may be on top of the next table, but you can't hear their conversation; you can't hear your own. I look forward to trying again in the spring or fall when it's comfortable outside and it's just the 41 traffic that I have to talk over.

We arrived and they said they had no table for us. We had to eat at the bar. The hostess were rude .

Great atmosphere. Our waiter was awesome! The food wasn't hot when brought out to us, had to send back.

Live a short distance from the restaurant and finally got an opportunity to try their menu. Name of restaurant lists as On Forty-one Backyard Dining. Ordered the burger and truffle fries. Great taste and generous portions. Has outdoor dining, but it is adjacent to a busy road. Good buffer from seating to road, but can still hear alot of traffic. Since the name states Backyard Dining, I thought the prices would be reasonable. I was disappointed the appetizers were $8-9 and entress were on average $18-20.

First, it was a busy night due to restaurant week. Our party of four ordered from the special restaurant week menu, three smoked ribeye steaks and blackened grouper. The grouper was delivered hot and was very tasty. All three of the smoked steaks were room temperature by the time they were delivered. They did offer to take them back and throw them back on a grill to heat them up, but we had waited a while for our dinner due to the crowd so all agreed to continue with the meal as it was. The steaks had a very good flavor, but would have been much tastier had they been delivered at the proper temperature. This was our third visit to this restaurant and we have always been very pleased in the past. We'll just chalk up this visit to being very busy during restaurant week.
