Omaha Steakhouse - Phoenix
Rib steak was tough and so are the prices for a just a sandwich and burger
Thurs. 8/1 I visited this restaurant. Open table said just 3 tables available. I made the reservation for 8 pm. The ENTIRE dining room was EMPTY. This was definitely misleading.Availability on lobby tables by waterfall and seated bar. The dining room looked like a breakfast room for a tour when meals are provided or an employee break room
Outside tables were sticky with no mats linen or paper or tablecloths. The tables were wiped but the sticky came from the finish on the wood. We ordered a $45 tender but absolutely tasteless filet. The chef would not make a bernaise sauce but offered a over salty mushroom. No AU jus ... nada. No bread basket because of several conflicting stories. He forgot.‼️Didn’t know it was left off order until delivery‼️ The ordering system was down‼️
Steak came with a mound of mashed potatoes but server refused to substitute French frys. We ordered them anyway for $5.95 and requested they be brought out right away. They weren’t ... they came out with entree and were cold so we sent them back. They were delicious 2nd time around. No water offered, no refill check on ice tea & a coke. Server brought them but didn’t clear empty glasses. She was a young teen who probably was given minimum training. My crab cake was excellent.👍
The $8 green beans came w/o the bacon & Sprinkle of almonds. I literally had 2 almond 1/2’s on the dish.
All in All it was on of the worst restaurant experiences in my life for fine dining. I basically threw away $97..
The menus were filthy, food stained and sticky. The table was dirty and sticky. When I told the server He put the menus back with the others. He was unattentivt and only had two tables to serve in the 2 hours we were there. I mentioned it was our 54th anniversary and He said could He get us a dessert and I said to go please' called the next day to speak to a Mgr. and all she said was she would take care of it.
No, the food quality was not at the level that made you comfortable with the prices. The open atmosphere of being in a hotel lobby also hurts the ambiance of being at a nice steakhouse. I specifically avoided locally owned and recommend steakhouses based on the Omaha brand reputation and was completely disappointed. The manager on site was very accommodating and did great helping us out, but won't return.
Caesar salad not crisp..saturated in dressing. Steak ok.. not flavorful. Mash potatoes good. Very limited wine selection.
It was a last minute reservation for a large group.
I Have Celiac. Thanks to Kelvin in the Omaha Steakhouse I was able to eat when the regular complimentary breakfast area was not able to accommodate me. Because of his ability and discussion we decided to make a reservation for dinner that evening at Omaha Steakhouse. It was a wonderful dining experience. Great service, great food and really comfortable eating there with my dietary restrictions.
We will return and tell others about the fine dining experience.
The restaurant is within a hotel which provided a nice ambience. The service was great and the food was really just ok for the price.
Décor is tired and the restaurant does not seem to be getting much outside clientele beyond the hotel guests. Despite those shortcomings, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent.
Ordered my steak medium rare ended up medium well. One side was burnt making it tough to cut and chew. I asked for blue cheese topping but due to the fact that the waiter failed to do a check back after our first bight it was pointless to request it again. Saw our waiter very little in fact. For the price I definitely wouldnt recommend it and certainly wont be going back again.
We enjoyed our visit! All the food was delicious, and our server was friendly and attentive. The space for the restaurant is beautiful. We would definitely come again.
We came here for New Year’s Eve. It was an absolute disaster. The highlight of everything was the waitress with glasses. She was a doll. None of our food came out on time and the prime rib was full of fat and tuff and very disappointing. The butternut squash soup was a glop. Now I’m from the south and I know a soup is suppose to be thin not solid!!!
We had a reservation and it took the waitress 15 minutes to even say anything. The steaks were bad, and the prices were very high. We will not be going over there again.
This steakhouse decor reminded me of a Denny’s Don’t waste your time
Thanksgiving lunch was delicious! And fairly priced.
I went here for Thanksgiving for a steak, only to find out that Omaha Steakhouse had a very limited steak selection. We asked to see their stand menu, and that too had very limited selection.
I think this place should consider a name change if they feel they can't stock a larger supply of steak.
Ordered 7 oz filet, sautéed spinach and French fries. It was okay, pretty salty.
Restaurant was very disappointing. Service was marginal, food not cooked to request, coffee was cold...Definitely not worth the price, expected more.
The dining area looked like a mall food court. Took them 15 minutes to seat us. Though we had a reservation they did not have a table for 10 set up. Steak was good. It they ran out of bake potatoes
My steak was cold. I expected a better quality and preparation for a name such as Omaha Steak. I asked for melted butter to flavor the steak and also to make it warmer, but the waitress didn’t bring it to me the first time I asked. Had to ask the second time. Getting together with my friends was good, but I won’t come back here again.
Really bad food over cooked meat and cold food with weak service, manager eventually comp'd meal with 2 bites out of burger
I was looking forward to have an "Omaha Steak". We occasionally buy them and have them shipped to us at home and they are always good. We ordered our food, one steak med-rear and one medium. The medium was well - sent it back, the med-rear was medium. Not very tender. They did bring another which was ok. I'm not sure corporate Omaha Steaks would want their name associated with this place. One tell-tail sign should have been the fact there were only two other parties in the whole place. For us, we will not return. Oh and we could hear the "cook" not chef complaining we sent the steak back. Waitress was nice.
Omaha Steakhouse at Phienix was a big disappointment. Confusing and changing menus, inexperienced wait staff and poor food.
We were the only people in the building...it was socially cold and inhospitable...not friendly....we walked out...
We had not been here in a while and we wanted to go back to check it out. It was disappointing to say the least. The actual menu was far more limited than the menu that was in the Open Table app, not a lot of choices.
Our server was fantastic very friendly and helpful.
The food was under nothing to ooh and aahh about. My partner filet was not cooked to order, she order it well and it was medium if not closer to medium rare. While my steak was ordered medium and was closer to well done. We did not bring it to anyone's attention we just switched steaks. The mashed potatoes were also underwhelming too.
Unfortunately, it was probably our last time going there. We had many great times there however this restaurant is not nearly as classy as it once was.
Awful. When we arrived, we waited ten minutes before anyone came to the host stand. It appeared to be a server covering it, so that's understandable. There was less than 10 tables total, and the only other larger party was a 15 top in the back that arrived long before us and had a separate server. It took 1.5 hours for the food to come out, the server was absent most of the time - one of our group found her talking to the bartender when we were looking for her. She did not bring bread until asked after the appetizers, and salads. The potatoes were cold - even after being sent back once. The medium rare steak was medium well and the server just went oh yeah it's more medium well that happens, but did not even want to take the potato back initially to reheat it. Our drinks were empty most of the night, even when I asked her for refills for everyone. I finally asked for the manager after the main course went so badly, and he asked me what I wanted him to do. He took our drinks off, one potato, and one steak (the one that was the most overly cooked) but never checked back or anything. The server was completely unapologetic, and just awkwardly laughed at everything.
Unfortunately we did not complain to the management about our meal
I wish they would have questioned why we boxed up the majority of our meals and left
I know Omaha steaks would not appreciate the type and way the steaks were prepared cold and gristly
Sorry to say, this experience was terrible. First of all , this restaurant is in the lobby/atrium of an Embassy Suites. This needs to be communicated to any of us booking it. The ambiance is just what you'd expect for being in the atrium of a hotel...terrible!! We were stuck in the very back in a room that was airless, windowless and terrible. We had only one server for our group of 10. We ordered some drinks and appetizers for the table, which came in a decent amount of time. Half of our group ordered a seafood main dish and half ordered steaks. We also added some sides for the table to share. The seafood dishes came out first....and then we waited, and waited. 2/3 of the steaks orders came out about 10 minutes later, two had to be sent back because they were crispy charred. Finally the last steak order came out 25 minutes after the first people at our table were served. And then, the sides came out. Needless to say, we were so disappointed, I would not recommend this other than if you are staying at the Embassy Suites and need a place to eat.
The restaurant is inside the Embassy Suites Hotel, which had a terrible odor. Since the restaurant is an open-air facility in the hotel courtyard, it smelled terrible.
We did not even bother to be seated, and just walked-out. However, the Hillside restaurant next door was AMAZING!
the wait staff could use some training, and the manager could act like he gives a d---
Was the worst dining experience. Server was horrible, asked us before we even sat down if we wanted bottled or bubble water (thought he meant sparkling) so we said regular water, gave us Panna and charged us $6.00, then never explained the menu so we thought we had to order off the 3 course Christmas menu which was very limited (only one steak- steak Diane with mushroom/Burgany sauce). I ordered medium and my husband ordered med-rare however server never told us that the steak Diane was pre-cooked to well done plus on menu it didn't state what the entrée came with so at bottom was sides. I ordered a baked potato and my husband ordered green beans. Well the steak Diane automatically comes with mashed potatoes and green beans so to my surprise I got two helpings of starchy potatoes and my husband received two helpings of green beans at an extra cost of $10.00 (wow) server couldn't of asked us if we were sure of extra items. we weren't the only ones, table next to us had the same thing with two types of potatoes added to his meal. either train your staff or do a better job on menu description. Paying $131.00 for a awful meal and service was so upsetting. Server would disappear for long periods in between courses, with 3 servers and at 5:30pm there was only 5/6 tables occupies, and our server would tell us he had to keep running to "sister property" what does that mean?????????? Save your hard earn money and go to a top notch steakhouse, Omaha Steakhouse is inside Embassy suite hotels lobby and I could of received the same type of food at Denny's for quarter of the price. Ruined our Christmas Dinner.
Disappointed. No bread or butter, appetizer (calamari) over cooked, asked fore dressing on the side with salad and it was loaded in it, baked potato looked like it was cooked 12 hours earlier ...so much for a Christmas dinner.
We had the Christmas Dinner and it was delicious. The service and ambiance was great. We will definitely go there again in the future.
disappointed in experience. didn't realize restaurant was part of Embassy Suites. Wanted an extraordinary experience and didn't get it.
We were directed to the pateo for the Oktoberfest events and basically we were next to the pool and beyond the kids playing marco polo there was nothing going on. The service was poor we had to go inside and pay because we grew.tired of waiting for our waitress to return with our bill.
Good steak as always. Quiet restaurant that is hardly ever crowded-
We visited on a very quiet night at the hotel, and the food and service were excellent! I'm surprised the place is not better attended, but I am sure during peak season in Phoenix this place is crowded!
Food was excellent and the staff is very friendly, will definitely be going back.
always good food in a nice place for dinner and events!
