Atmosphere and service were top notch. My wife and daughter had the filet. Wife’s was fine, but daughters was a little over cooked, but acceptable. Both were very tender, but lacked any seasoning. I had the special bone-in 32oz Tomahawk ribeye. For $95.00 I was not impressed with this steak. Was not tender at all and about 16oz of it was the bone. Cutting it caused the table to shake as there was gristle throughout. I’ve had a much better 28oz “boneless” ribeye at Texas Roadhouse for half the cost. It was nice for the occasion, but next time I want to spend $300 for 3 people I’ll go to Mahogany.

This is a very quiet restaurant because they aren't busy. Still has good service and good food but don't order the prime rib if the restaurant isn't busy because you simply can't keep prime rib hot and juicy if you don't have many customers. Order something that they have to cook on the spot. It's a long established restaurant with a great ambiance. I'll go back.

My children and grandchildren were home for Christmas. I wanted to take them somewhere special before they traveled back home. This was a favorite place of my late husband, and he loved going there for special occasions. It didn't disappoint.....the steaks and prime rib literally melt in your mouth. It was a fun occasion .

I would say everything about this dining experience was rather ordinary. The food was good, nothing exceptional, the server was below average, she would get an order for a drink and immediately would walk away rather than ask anyone else for a drink. This happened twice, and we had multiple people ordering drinks and she seemed rather bland. There were 4 orders of 18oz prime rib from our table (all ordered med-rare) and two of the four were over cooked. These two had no resemblance to the other properly cooked pieces of meat. How the cooks nor the server recognized this is troublesome. The filet was rather nice as was the crab stuffed shrimp. The side dishes were tasty enough and the garlic truffle mashed was the best by far. All in all our trip to Omaha Prime was again, rather ordinary and probably not worth the near $500 tab we had for a party of 7. I would also suggest an update to the ambiance as it seemed rather dated and could use a fresh design.

Food was amazing; server was a bit scatter brained, but nice; I was surprised with the choice of decorations, but not bothered by it. Overall, it was excellent.

I dined at Omaha Prime on the recommendation of a local. I was alone for once. The Restaurant lived up to other good reviews, especially those for Kevin, who was my Server.

I had the Kansas cut steak and a side of sweet potato fries and creamed spinach. When Kevin delivered the food he told me he'd taken the liberty of ordering a half portion of the fries. Just as well, I didn't finish anywhere near a quarter of them. The creamed spinach was great, but again, way too much. And the steak ..... great flavor and cooked to perfection.

When the food was delivered the adjacent table gasped at the quantity. Little did though know what they had ordered (for two) was going to be a mountain of food as well. And it was.

A Gin Tonic to start and a nice glass of Merlot and everything was perfect.

No dessert unfortunately, just no space left in me.

I highly recommend Omaha Prime.

Coming from Manhattan, I found the pricing to my liking as well.

All good and nothing to fault.

Had a special night out for our 39th anniversary. Expensive but lots of very good food that is made to share. Waiter was very accommodating at splitting salads and the large porterhouse steak for us. We grow beef cattle, so we know a good steak when we eat one and this was one of the best we have had in Omaha. In the Old Market in enclosed balcony for dining--quiet and very festive for Christmas!

I’ve been traveling for two months now; two stop in Canada, four in the states and one in Switzerland. This was the best meal I’ve had since leaving and possibly one of the best I’ve had ever. I mean, I tried Montreal smoked meat (which was great), Swiss fondue, Tennessee BBQ and New York pizza and this place blows them all out of the water. It’s expensive, sure, but definitely an unforgettable experience.

Food was incredible! Service was fantastic! Would defiantly dine here again! We went for our anniversary and the staff was so nice. The restaurant was a nice quite dining room. There were not very many people here but we went very early - Again amazing food! My husband never likes to order steak in a restaurant that he's not familiar with for fear it won't be good and he was very impressed!

Our business dinner was very successful at Omaha Prime. We had two out of town vendors from Chicago who loved the blue cheese potatoes, crispy spouts and bone-in filets. We were able to sit out on the balcony, which really adds to the experience. Ask for seating out there.

Unfortunately, for a steak house they do not know how to cook a steak. They spell out the definitions of the wellness on their menu but do not follow it. Both my husbands and son's steaks had to be sent back and still returned very rare. It should have been sent back but we did not. Overall disappointing dinner, for $266 for 3 people, should have been so much better.

The food, atmosphere, quality of service, presentation, and alcohol options were amazing. Perhaps the best experience I’ve ever had dining out. I came here with my girlfriend; we were visiting the old market for the first time, and I found this place online. Setting up a reservation was effortless. We sat at a table across from the bar, which was about 5’ from the front of it. When our waiter (Kevin) conferred with the bartender, he went around behind the bar to do it, even though it would’ve been easier to simply do so from where he was standing. Our glasses were never empty or even half-empty. We had menus, but the food on the menu was presented to us on a cart that the waiter wheeled up to us! We spent two hours here from start to finish, and it was probably the most relaxed meal we’ve ever had. Will definitely be coming back to Omaha just for this place. The only thing we would do differently is sit outside. The price is up there, but it is definitely worth it! Expect to spend around $200 for two people with drinks, appetizers, the main course, dessert, and generous tip.

I have eaten at Omaha Prime for years & this was the first time I was very disappointed with Omaha Prime. The truffle mash potatoes had zero taste, they didn't even taste like fresh mash potatoes. The cuts of steak were good & the steam lobster was awful. The only positive part of the night was our waiter, Joe, he was incredible & very attentive.

I was exceptionally disappointed. Omaha Prime has been around for decades and never tried, but had heard very mixed reviews.

Upon arriving, we waiting in the 'lobby' alone for 5 minutes before anyone arrived to greet us.

The wine list was very skimpy and limited.

The food was very disappointing and uninspiring. The salads were average and the appetizers sat in the back for a while as the crab cake was served lukewarm.

We order the large bone in Tomahawk Rib-eye. It was served under cooked and was sent back to be properly prepared. They 'claim' this is a prime cut, but the lack of marbling makes me question the quality of the meat. Also, it was thin - maybe 1/2 inch. AND, they charged $95 for the steak. I'm sorry, I entertain for work all of the time and across the US... this was $40 OVER PRICED. I've received a Waygu steak in the same cut and weight for $15 less.

I would not recommend and certainly not take a client there; they are far better values and far better Steaks in Omaha.

Though the service was impeccable, I was disappointed with my meal at Omaha Prime. I ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. Though the crab cake itself was average, the sauce it was service on was not got. I believe it was meant to be a hollandaise sauce, but it was cold and flavorless and looked as if it was just the eggs yolks with very little butter. For my entree, I ordered the filet which was dry and overcooked in areas. The blue cheese mashed potatoes were very average as well. I will say my husband enjoyed the prime rib and his sweet potato fries were tasty. I feel this restaurant may have been popular at one time, but not anymore as on a Sunday night, there were only 4 tables sat in the whole restaurant. There are much better options including chains, so I won't be going back.

The steak was not USDA prime as advertised. This was obvious as soon as it was presented on the plate and tasting it confirmed it was probably select. I doubt if it was even choice.
I ate about 10% and spoke to the excellent waiter observing it was not prime. The waiter immediately struck it off the bill. We paid and left.

We never actually received service. It wasnt overly busy, but perhaps they were understaffed which still should be planned for in a steakhouse of this caliber. We were seated fine, however, once seated it was 10-15 minutes before anyone came by. Our server greeted us and went to get water and menus. A couple at the table behind us left without menus or water giving us a feeling of dread. Over 15 minutes later we received our menus and water and were asked if we'd like to see the cuts. Another 15 minutes went by and we decided to go elsewhere. Basically 45 minutes of waiting resulted in seeing the server twice and receiving nothing but menus and water. Not what we expected.
