We had an out of town client experiencing Omaha for the first time. We wanted high quality steaks on a Monday night from a local place. Our server, Kevin, was fantastic and we had the privilege of having the owner Mo (a dear friend of one of our party members) cook our steaks personally because he was short-staffed. This place always provides an exceptional experience.
Wonderful meal! Thank you!
hard to rate this everything was wonderful EXCEPT THE PRIME RIB it was cooked spot on but when you tried to cut it --it was so tough.. the steak knife wouldn't even cut it. that part I was so disappointed in. neither my daughter or I could eat it. service was awesome apps were great . I guess when you pay that much for a piece of "prime" meat it should not be un-editable.
Excellent service and atmosphere! Food is delicious in a very friendly setting!!
My waiter, Kevin, was fantastic, the food was delicious! Garlic white truffle mashed potatoes were to die for!
Food was good as usual, wait staff on Valentines Day seem overworked, confused and not as attentive as one would expect.
Great food as always. Love the bone-in ribeye!!! Could have used a couple of more servers on Valentine's Day, but experience was still first class.
The initial greeting was very awkward. Went upstairs to the dining room and it looked like a cheap dining hall and the lighting was way too bright. My server was attentive and nice but I noticed at one point another server actually ran thru the dining area to get a tray stand. None of the servers exuded class or sophistication. The wine was way over priced as was the food. Probably won’t be returning.
Great meal and service. Dylan was a great waiter tending to all of our needs, but also letting us enjoy our night. A little busy due to Valentine’s Day. Definitely placing this on our list of top restaurants.
The food was excellent and priced competively with other "prime" steak houses. The wine is priced fairly high but the selection was diverse and contains some very good choices. I would recommend this place to both friends and family.
We celebrated my mom's 89.5th birthday. The food and service were terrific. Really is the best Caesar salad in Omaha. And the Brussels sprouts were terrific. Steaks cooked perfectly. Our only complaints were that the dining room is upstairs, there is no elevator and the bathrooms are on the ground floor.
I have eaten at Omaha Prime several times. The food, service and atmosphere are consistent, which is important if you are on a business dinner. Great Steaks!
Excellent service. Great wine list...and food
Great service and food. Steak was the best I have had!! It was a slow business night, but attention to detail and service was excellent. Music volume was too low and style of music was classical, which resulted in ability to overhear neighboring conversations and a feeling an empty room. Better music would have made for a perfect evening.
Salad was amazing, mushrooms were amazing, the waiters and servers were amazing but the prime rib we both had was the worst we've ever had. It was not cooked to the medium rare we ordered it was done, dry and plain tasting. Everything else was awesome. I hope the steaks are much better.
Lovely Very impressive
The food was delicious and the service was great. The only thing I would wish for was smaller cuts of meat. The smallest prime rib was 18oz and that is huge. I also don’t love the huge sides to share. You have to agree with everyone on a side or two or pay for a huge thing of potatoes to eat by yourself.
Always excellent food and service! A favorite of ours!
Atmosphere and service were top notch. My wife and daughter had the filet. Wife’s was fine, but daughters was a little over cooked, but acceptable. Both were very tender, but lacked any seasoning. I had the special bone-in 32oz Tomahawk ribeye. For $95.00 I was not impressed with this steak. Was not tender at all and about 16oz of it was the bone. Cutting it caused the table to shake as there was gristle throughout. I’ve had a much better 28oz “boneless” ribeye at Texas Roadhouse for half the cost. It was nice for the occasion, but next time I want to spend $300 for 3 people I’ll go to Mahogany.
This is a very quiet restaurant because they aren't busy. Still has good service and good food but don't order the prime rib if the restaurant isn't busy because you simply can't keep prime rib hot and juicy if you don't have many customers. Order something that they have to cook on the spot. It's a long established restaurant with a great ambiance. I'll go back.
My children and grandchildren were home for Christmas. I wanted to take them somewhere special before they traveled back home. This was a favorite place of my late husband, and he loved going there for special occasions. It didn't disappoint.....the steaks and prime rib literally melt in your mouth. It was a fun occasion .
I would say everything about this dining experience was rather ordinary. The food was good, nothing exceptional, the server was below average, she would get an order for a drink and immediately would walk away rather than ask anyone else for a drink. This happened twice, and we had multiple people ordering drinks and she seemed rather bland. There were 4 orders of 18oz prime rib from our table (all ordered med-rare) and two of the four were over cooked. These two had no resemblance to the other properly cooked pieces of meat. How the cooks nor the server recognized this is troublesome. The filet was rather nice as was the crab stuffed shrimp. The side dishes were tasty enough and the garlic truffle mashed was the best by far. All in all our trip to Omaha Prime was again, rather ordinary and probably not worth the near $500 tab we had for a party of 7. I would also suggest an update to the ambiance as it seemed rather dated and could use a fresh design.
Food was amazing; server was a bit scatter brained, but nice; I was surprised with the choice of decorations, but not bothered by it. Overall, it was excellent.
Hadn't been back in quite awhile...food and apps were great...service by Dillon was wonderful and honor greated us... great evening...will be back
I dined at Omaha Prime on the recommendation of a local. I was alone for once. The Restaurant lived up to other good reviews, especially those for Kevin, who was my Server.
I had the Kansas cut steak and a side of sweet potato fries and creamed spinach. When Kevin delivered the food he told me he'd taken the liberty of ordering a half portion of the fries. Just as well, I didn't finish anywhere near a quarter of them. The creamed spinach was great, but again, way too much. And the steak ..... great flavor and cooked to perfection.
When the food was delivered the adjacent table gasped at the quantity. Little did though know what they had ordered (for two) was going to be a mountain of food as well. And it was.
A Gin Tonic to start and a nice glass of Merlot and everything was perfect.
No dessert unfortunately, just no space left in me.
I highly recommend Omaha Prime.
Coming from Manhattan, I found the pricing to my liking as well.
All good and nothing to fault.
An Omaha gem well worth it in every respect.
Our server, Kevin, was exceptional! The atmosphere was sophisticated and quiet. The food was so good. We will return.
Had a special night out for our 39th anniversary. Expensive but lots of very good food that is made to share. Waiter was very accommodating at splitting salads and the large porterhouse steak for us. We grow beef cattle, so we know a good steak when we eat one and this was one of the best we have had in Omaha. In the Old Market in enclosed balcony for dining--quiet and very festive for Christmas!
Grandparents and grandchildren meeting in Omaha (halfway for all) for holiday shopping and dining.
I’ve been traveling for two months now; two stop in Canada, four in the states and one in Switzerland. This was the best meal I’ve had since leaving and possibly one of the best I’ve had ever. I mean, I tried Montreal smoked meat (which was great), Swiss fondue, Tennessee BBQ and New York pizza and this place blows them all out of the water. It’s expensive, sure, but definitely an unforgettable experience.
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent evening!
Food was incredible! Service was fantastic! Would defiantly dine here again! We went for our anniversary and the staff was so nice. The restaurant was a nice quite dining room. There were not very many people here but we went very early - Again amazing food! My husband never likes to order steak in a restaurant that he's not familiar with for fear it won't be good and he was very impressed!
Always spot on! Great location downtown and still had the old steakhouse feel.
Great! Warren Buffet was in the house!
We went for our anniversary and it was everything we had heard and more. Thanks!!
Our business dinner was very successful at Omaha Prime. We had two out of town vendors from Chicago who loved the blue cheese potatoes, crispy spouts and bone-in filets. We were able to sit out on the balcony, which really adds to the experience. Ask for seating out there.
Outstanding food, fabulous service and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
We wanted to go someplace we havent tried before for our anniversary and very satisfied with choosing Omaha Prime. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Our server was friendly and attentive. She made a great recommendation as I was torn between two items.
Unfortunately, for a steak house they do not know how to cook a steak. They spell out the definitions of the wellness on their menu but do not follow it. Both my husbands and son's steaks had to be sent back and still returned very rare. It should have been sent back but we did not. Overall disappointing dinner, for $266 for 3 people, should have been so much better.
Omaha Prime has been a go to for me regarding business and special occasions. Continued great work.
