When in Omaha, one must eat steak and if you want an excellent one, head to Omaha Prime. The bone-in filet is the best cut of beef I have ever eaten. The sides were great and the wine list was extensive and varied. We visited twice in our 6 day stay.
Very attentive staff, service was quick, Ambiance was perfect.
The place has a lot of steps, and needs an elevator.
The food was good, but expensive. Portions are more than adequate and the staff was friendly.
One disappointment had to do with the restroom, which had a water leak that snaked around in the spaces between the tiles. This made getting your clothes wet a very distinct possibility.
The space was also cramped and just not what you would expect in such an otherwise elegant restaurant.
For example, it was clear that a health department “Wash Your Hands” sticker aimed at employees had once been on the towel dispenser, but was partially torn off and had not been replaced.
Best steak and ambiance in town! It is our favorite restaurant for a special occasion.
Needed reservations for Christmas Eve and wanted something close to our hotel. What a great find! Steaks were excellent as were the sides. Sat in the balcony area which we highly recommended if you are a small group. Will definitely be eating there again when we are back in Omaha!
Our service was great, as was the food. We sat overlooking the Old market passageway, which was very private and low noise level. We will definitely be back.
Amazing steak! Perfect for a quiet and delicious dinner.
Excellent food great steaks if you can afford the prices and ignore the atmosphere.
This is an outstanding restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing. The food and service are truly exceptional. We always go here to celebrate special occasions.
It was a great overall dining experience & will definitely go back
We went at 8:30pm which for Omaha I guess was late. We were the last table being served. I think it was very, very high priced for Omaha. I could have gone to Morton's and paid the same prices. Food was good but not great. Ambiance was OK. Noise level was certainly good as we were the only patrons in the place. I guess I was just expecting and Omaha steak to just blow me away and it didn't.
Steak was so tender and delicious. Excellent, friendly service. Atmosphere conducive to great conversations!
Neal and Mo are the best!
The quality of the steaks were not quite what we would expect of a high end steakhouse. The overall experience and service were good.
Best steak on the planet. Their were 3 of us we alll agreed
Excellent food and service. Those steaks are for real and cooked perfectly!!! Lobster bisque in puff pastry is a must!!!!
Absolutely, excellent. Best steak in town
Food and Service is spectacular, they were out of a lot of the wones on their wine lisy
Restaurant was empty at 8pm on a Saturday night. We literally were the only table in the place by 9pm. I asked if it was always this slow on Saturday and the waiter said yes. My son's Shirley Temple had a fly in it. We ordered mashed potatoes as a side and the waiter brought mushrooms. I ordered a filet at medium temperature and it was overcooked and dry. Bad overall experience for a $300 dinner for 4.
Up the steep staircase we went passing older disabled people who struggled to make it to the dining room. Expecting a beautiful old school space, but disappointed with the bland interior we were shown the menu of steaks with a cart of example;, the lobster glass container had seen better days. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The steaks were truly wonderful, however the family style sides were not exciting. The brussel sprouts with bacon were perhaps boiled then added to a dish with bacon. The garlic mashed potatoes just okay. The baked potatoes were huge and dressed with bacon and cheese- we were able to serve 3 people with one and they were good. Disappointed with our experience- we had hoped for better.
Steaks, salads, potatoes and desserts were great for most in our group. The chicken was rubbery. Overall very good
Went to Omaha Prime with my wife and our overall experience was not what we expected. Nice restaurant and atmosphere, but the service and food was very poor when it comes to a higher scale restaurant. Service was spotty and we were treated like outcasts at times or like an inconvenience. For a steak restaurant, at the prices they have, you expect a good quality steak. My wife's was overcooked, and mine came out raw. They tried to re-fire, the same steak, three times before it finally came out almost burnt. The waitor gave half-hearted excuses with no empathy.
We left the evening very disappointed and thinking Outback would have been better.
This is a restaurant that time & patrons have forgotten! The marketing & advertisements are all very misleading. The steak was excellent, but everything else was average and the ambiance was terrible. This place smelled like an ancient old supper club, the staff was left over from some other era. Of all the great places in Omaha, I made the mistake of choosing this one based on reviews & pictures ( which by the way were not current) I don't know how this place is still open......
Excellent service and food at a phenomenal price/value. Looking forward to returning soon
The steak was amazing but just make sure you check your bill before leaving. We were overcharged.
Great Steakhouse in Omaha. Friendly. Great steaks. Solid wines. In Old Market near business hotels.
The food was very good and prepared properly. Our waiter, Terry, was excellent, would request him the next time we visit Omaha Prime. The prices were on the higher end for some items but more moderate on others. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and have already recommended Omaha prime to others.
Outstanding as always!
I made a reservation on OpenTable, showed up and they turned us away. They said they were having trouble with the app, so instead of trying to work something out, give us options, etc., the hostess bluntly told us there was nowhere for us to be in their restaurant that night. So we walked a few blocks down to 801 Chophouse and had a fantastic meal for a comparable, if not slightly better, price. Don't got to Omaha Prime; go to 801 Chophouse.
Like many of these upscale steak restaurants, marginally overpriced.
The meal was very good except for the dinner rolls which were stale and cold. That needs to be improved upon and something easy to fix.
Great food, Great service and great atmosphere.
Great waiter. Good drink selection. Steak and sides were outstanding. Highly recommend.
We will be back again. The food was excellent.................................
Food and service were great
Great steaks. Accidentally overcharged for second bottle of wine but management took care of.
The place feels dated, and lacks anything robust from the staff to the menu. It's a steakhouse, that has zero excitement. The food was bland, and lacked the quality you were hoping for. I wanted this place to he saved by good steaks, but that didn't happen
First trip to Omaha ba friend recommended this restaurant. Food was very good. Just a bit pricey. Sat on the patio which was nice. Steak was very tasty, sides were okay, salad was just okay. Dessert (Key Lime Pie) was good.
Great atmosphere, knowledgeable servers. Great wine selection and steak choices
Shrimp cocktail was over cooked and rubbery. Otherwise the food was great
