Olympia Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We were a group of 15 celebrating a special 50th birthday. They were amazingly accommodating. They allowed us to decorate and even gave suggestions for placement. They allowed us to bring in our own cake and refrigerated it while we dined. The prices were reasonable and the portions were quite large. Great Greek! I wish that they served Mosakka vegetarian style.
This restaurant has REALLY gone downhill. I have been here several times in the past years and the food and belly dancing were superb. However, that has drastically changed. I ordered chicken k-bob with supposedly fresh vegetables. The chicken was undercooked and completely bland!!! The vegetables were FROZEN and soggy. The only thing that was even edible was the Greek salad and believe me I have had better!! I was told that they are trying to sell this restaurant so I am assuming that they don't care about the quality anymore. It's a shame because I for one will not be returning!!!
Being of Greek, raised in a Greek house, ate Greek food on a regular basis, and traveling throughout Greece and USA eating Greek food, I would have to say this was the worst example of Greek food. What Greek restaurant doesn't have Greek potatoes or string beans. You could find better pasta dishes at a 1 star restaurant, chicken dishes.....grab yourself a frozen chicken breast, let it defrost, add a pinch of salt and pepper and you have yourself Greek chicken. Vegetables...a bag of frozen mix vegetables is what we got. This place needs Chef Ramsay in the worst way
Olympia provides excellent ambiance and excellent classic Greek cuisine. The staff is always welcoming and informative and make dining a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. The evening is a great time to visit; while the restaurant is right on Colonial the traffic in the area is lighter at this time making entry and exit easier. The restaurant is also in close proximity to the 417 so it has access to several major roads providing access to it.
Personal favorites are the Kalamari (use the K in Greek) and avgolemono soup both are fresh and delicious. Gyros are another excellent choice, once there the mouth will water over all the choices available.
Please go and enjoy as I and my family have.
It was the worst Greek food we ever had. Service was slow and the meat seemed like re-heated several times.
There were only three tables at prime time one Friday evening.
It look like this restaurant was trendy many years ago, but I would not recommend it nowadays.
This place was a great surprise! The service was attentive and friendly, as if welcoming one into a home. The food is the distinction, with fresh ingredients and authentic Greek dishes all made from scratch by the very talented Chef/owners.
We will be back every time we want the best, fresh, Greek food in town!
We went here due to review from trip advisor. Out garm in took us all over and we were tired when we got here. This is a large place, not very intimate but we're greeted by a very vivacious server. She was the best thing there except for the pasticio which was about the best I had. We had smelts excellent and another appetizer and then their Olympia special plate. Other than the pasticio it was average, the wines were not very good but. We continued on. This is a very serviceable place and would be good for. Groups but Since we are very familiar with Greek cuisine it did not measure up to our standards.
I would not drive any distance to go there in the future but they did try hard and that counts fir something
They had our reservation. Restaurant was very clean. For a Saturday night, we were surprised at how few patrons they had. We had picked this place because it was on the Skymiles Dining program. Unfortunately, that list was apparently not updated until after I had made a reservation during the first week of January. They dropped out of the program--guess I learned a lesson. We would not have driven so far to go there.
Food was outstanding. It was very quite Thursday night. Belly dancer on Fridays & Saturdays.(loved her last time). The Hercules platter had a little of everything and between 4 of us we ordered a nice variety of foods and shared. Will do it again with a bigger crowd on the weekends!
Made this reservation for dinner to celebrate my daughters graduation from Nursing School at UCF. Table for 8. We all ordered and tasted each others food. EVERYTHING was awesome. Belly Dancer had us dancing. Owner heard of the graduation and comped us a bottle of wine. What a nice experience. I would highly recommend it and will dine there again.
I brought my family here and it did have a very nice atmosphere, which included belly dancing. My kids even had the opportunity to dance. We loved the interaction and service, but I don't think the dinner was worth the money. I would consider coming back for a gyro for lunch.
Wonderful restaurant! We were a group of 12 adults looking for great food/drinks after a long day of watching our children compete at UCF. This was the perfect place. Wonderful service, delicious food and fantastic wine! We highly recommend this restaurant!
My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday night and it was very good. I really enjoyed my chicken and he liked the gyro. The portions were fine for the price. The service was a little intrusive but very friendly and so we did not mind. I'm not a fan of the environment personally- loud music and drinking all around- but it was festive. I'd recommend it to a friend.
It was my first time here. So, I can't go on and on about how great it was. However, my guest and I shared a platter and the saganaki (sp?). The platter contained traditional foods that were quite good. Our server was rather entertaining, likely because of her clashing Russian heritage and accent. Nonetheless, I will be going back to see if the experience is consistently good. By the way, the place was pretty dead on a Saturday night. But, despite there being only one other party, the place was loud and full of great energy.
