Tucked into one of Portland’s beautifully restored industrial buildings, Olympia Provisions Southeast has grown from establishing the city’s first salumeria to being a destination for refined, European-style dishes. Our menu here is guided by the capable hands of Chef Matthew Jarrell, and reflects an innovative approach to the traditions of rustic Spanish and Mediterranean cooking. In combining these methods with the clean, bold flavors of the Pacific Northwest, Jarrell's dishes highlight the locally-sourced meats and seasonal vegetables you’ll find on his menus.     Food to share was perfectly portioned, deliciously prepared, and came out timely for a wonderful experience. We were there for 3 hours and it felt like nothing. A lot due to company, but the ambiance, service, and food made it all possible.

    Good food and service, but then the bill came. “An automatic gratuity is added for parties of 1 or more”. + an employee wellness fee. 23% mandatory “tip”. It feels like a switch and bait. I’m not going back unless they abolish that policy.

    We had brunch on Easter Sunday, and enjoyed their special dish with lamb and lovely spring vegetables. Also had a French charcuterie board, which was tasty but not particularly inspired. Tried their new special cherry cocktail, which was surprising and not too sweet - a winner in my book. Our only negative was the bread that came with the charcuterie board, which was just OK. Lots of good choices on the menu, so will probably return for brunch again.

    Everything was just perfect. Food was delicious (pan seared chicken) and wine selection excellent (Crement). We took advantage of $1 oyster special as well, which was an unexpected surprise. If I lived in Portland I would eat here every day.
