Poor service and poor reserved table, but food was good. Will try again.
We had a large group of ten on the patio at Sunset.. lovely spot, and the waiter did an excellent job of accommodating us! Our food, appetizers and all were delicious as always!
I was excited to be taking my friends to Olympia Grill since it was their first time. On a Wednesday evening it took a long time for the server to take our cocktail orders then a longer time to bring appetizer and drinks. Our appetizer with hummus, olives, fruit and pita was good but the grapes were wilted and old not fresh at all. There was a really long wait for our entrees. My friend ordered another glass of wine but they never brought it until we reminded them 20 minutes later. My fish entree came with a side of steamed vegetables. The fish was dry and vegetables were ice cold. 20 minutes later they brought warm veggies after I was finished with my dinner. They never replaced my friends cold vegetables. I have been to Olympia Grill several times but have never had such bad service. I was truly disappointed and won’t be recommending this establishment any time soon.
Food was great! Our server was so personable and even directed us to fun activities for our stay.
The seafood is very fresh and tasty. The grilled octopus was wonderful. The service was great without being overbearing. Overall we had an awesome experience at Olympia at Pier 21!
We were disappointed. Wait person did not offer the Happy Hour menu and we learned later that there were items not on the main menu. Our entrees came out about half through the salad & they just pushed out salads out of the way with our plates. We were offered no drink refills and the food was bland & unseasoned. Salad was very nice. A bit pricy for just ok.
I try and eat hear when I'm in Galveston. The location is fabulous. The service was great and the food quality was excellent. We had the stuffed shrimp and were pleasantly surprised at how different they were from other restaurants stuffed shrimp. SO YUMMY! Gumbo was really good with just the right amount of heat.
Great meal, wonderful service!
The food was excellent. The service was good. The restaurant is louder on the weekend, with some “entertainment “ than it is during the week.
Visited during restaurant week in Galveston, so we had the fixed price dinner on Saturday night. Very good meal, both of us enjoyed our dinners. It was very lively because it was also Happy Hour. Would be nice to come during the summer when we could sit outside. Service was very good as well; we will come back another time and try the Greek specials.
Best new find in Galveston. The salad was fresh, the dressing light and delicious. Grilled chicken was so flavorful. We will be back!
Olympia Grill was perfect for our gathering of girl friends ! All of our food was delicious. Drinks were tasty and service was excellent (attentive but not bothersome).
Thanks for an enjoyable evening!
The food here was delicious and our service was awesome! I would highly recommend this place and we would definitely go back!
Spring, Fall, and New Year's Eve we find ourselves on The Strand. One meal has to be here! They have a great Greek wine selection. The Crab Cakes are ah-mazing! The lentil soup...the fresh fish...stuffed shrimp...the Greek dishes....oh! Just go! Treat yourself. For the two of us, two glasses of wine, shared crab cakes, stuffed shrimp, and fresh fish with topping, plus tip comes in around $100.00.
The view is great of the Pier. The added a bar to the patio so you can have a seat there and look out over the water. The sometimes have a belly dancer on site. She's got talents!
We really enjoy this place. Hope you will, as well.
The bar, drinks, and bar staff were outstanding. We were seated immediately and the hostess was smiling and friendly. We had a beautiful table near the window and the waiter was outstanding (not to say he was also easy on the eyes). Loved the food and ambiance.
The food was just ok. Way to expensive to be just ok! The gumbo was bad, just bad.
Love the Sunday brunch Mediterranean plate with mimosas. We asked for a table outside by the water and it was perfect. Server was available but did not hover. Excellent every time!
Had a great time. Excellent lamb shanks. Would recommend to everyone. Very attentive staff without being pushy.
Olympia at Pier 21 is a 'must' when you go to Galveston. The service is always good, and the food top notch.
the staff was fabulous and took very good care of our family.
THE BEST DOG FRIENDLY RESTAURANT IN GALVESTON! and that's not the only reason to love it!
We return here time after time. The food is excellent, the prices reasonable, the service top notch. We always sit outside on the bay. The water is restful and there is always something to see. Lots of room for our dog who becomes excited as soon as she realizes where she is going. They bring her water right away and, along with her cookies and a place to lie, she is in dog heaven. Lunch specials during the week are a real bargain. Many other choices as well and everything is terrific,
This was a first time experience at this restaurant. Ordered the lamb chop with eggs, asked for medium well. Which I should have said well done. After the brunch, I had gotten ill. I may go back again with family, but would avoid any meat.
Great place for a group of people. They were helpful when our party of 10 turned into 13, and the service was great. The food was terrific, and everyone was very happy with the choice.
Loved the view. Good food, a little spicy. A bay cat came and sat on the steps with us and we shared our meal with him. (See photos)
Great service and food.
Delicious food and attentive (but not intrusive) service. Meals were large. Noisy inside dining area but remained enjoyable.
Pretty restaurant... great location!!! Just a bit delayed service, but they were super busy!! Will def be back
Fun, relaxed dining experience for our anniversary. Great view of the pier. Waiter could have been more helpful with ordering. Ordered the pita and hummus combination plate, which was delicious and beautiful presentation--but it was too much for the two of us as an appetizer. Our waiter had told us it would be about right--that it was just three different dips for the pita bread; however, it was far more than that--dips, delicious goat cheese, olives, vegetables and fruit. A great appetizer for 3-4 people. The Greek and Caesar's side salads were really good. The blackened red fish special was good, but not great. The chicken and pasta dish was quite average. We were too full to enjoy a dessert. Ambiance was nice. Overall, it was a positive experience.
I ate stuff I thought I didn't like. It was fantastic. Guess I like it now.
Look forward to visiting here on our trips to Galveston from Houston.
Lots of food, reasonable prices. Service was excellent.
We both had seafood dinners which were very good with nice presentation. Good service too.
Have been here many times, but the noise level was extreme (Friday night at 6:30). It was too hot to sit outside at that time of day, but inside was way too noisy to have comfortable conversations.
The service was very slow. I thought it was because we were such a large party but I saw the waitress just standing by the kitchen talking to another server.
We needed drinks refills and more bread.
My friend got the Shrimp platter. The Shrimp were very small and over-fried; the grilled shrimp were like popcorn Shrimp. Not worth the money.
Good food in a lovely waterfront setting. A must do for each visit to Galveston
As always great food, great staff (thanks Justin), and great atmosphere. We were there later than normal (just before end of lunch period) and had place to ourselves. Quiet with personalized service. A must stop when in Galveston.
This was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly and delicious! Highly recommend - I just wish this restaurant was in Austin!
Went here for Father's Day and the services and ambiance were great. Very disappointed in the quality of the seafood. We were expecting the fish and shrimp to be freshly caught, but seemed to be similar to many chain restaurants in that it seemed reheated and bland, the shrimp was overcooked and mushy. The best food was the Greek appetizer with assorted dips and pita bread. Maybe they should stick to Greek only.
Second time I have been here and didn't disappoint. The food was excellent.
We requested ocean view and was sat inside where we couldn't see past the large group of people sitting in front of us outside. We were not offered to sit outside, despite plenty of ocean view seating out doors. We awaited over 10 minutes to get a waitress to take our drink order. The food was extremely expensive for the small servings. The noise was so loud inside, that we couldn't have a conversation. Way over rated.
We sat at waterfront Pier 21 in Galveston. There was a slight breeze and it was very pleasant out. Server was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty --I had the bossa with shrimp etoufee. I like that there was both seafood and traditional Greek items.
