O'Lunney's Times Square Pub
***Please give us a call to confirm any parties of 12 or more***
It was a little quieter then I anticipated, for a Sunday afternoon, we were put in a corner table off by ourselves. The food was very good and well priced. The service was not very good, the waitress did not come back to the table until the end of the meal, not even to ask if we wanted another drink which we did....not even water. We were there with my granddaughter so waiting was not an option. I might recommend O'Lunney's to adult friends and I would thing about giving it another try.
quick and friendly service - we had tiks for a broadway show
Service good, food mediocre
Our server took our order and then we never heard from her again I had to say excuse me multiple times to get her to come over so I could ask for the check. Food wasn’t worth what we paid.
Food tasted good, but very small portions for price payed! Also the server did not mention that drinks were not free refills! He was very fast and nice as well! Ambiance is great and very close the Times Square!
Was just ok. Nothing to rave about. Bit pricey for what was bar food
Well it was January 1st so maybe that's why our server wasn't very friendly but I would go back.
we came from Munich to celebrate New Year's Eve in New York. We were thrilled and will recommend the restaurant. The reservation via e-mail from Germany also worked wonderfully
New Years eve
Love the lively bar and dining area. Service is always great. And food is really good. Especially love the Reuben and the shepherds pie
A very enjoyable experience. The food was hot and delicious, and came out quickly & wine was moderately priced. Service was excellent! Will return
Had a great time with the party of 10 wasn’t shocked by the bill at the end waitress excellent food delicious
Our family get together went off without a hitch. We had a quiet table during a busy season that enabled us to catch up. Our waitstaff was excellent. Drinks and food were very delicious. Have been here before and will definitely come again
I’ve been to a few Irish Pubs but didn’t think too much of this one. The service was fine, but the food was fair. I had a Reuben which lacked any real flavor. We had a child who got Mac n cheese, very pricey for a microwave heated dish which took at least 10 minutes to cool off. Other meals were fine. French fries were good.
Very festive for the holidays. We came early and they went out of their way to accommodate.
Had a reservation, but was able to get seated earlier with a party of 10! Great ambience, large place, friendly staff! Food was outstanding!
Better than expected and staff was friendly and accommodating. Good beer selection.
Chose O'Lunney's for a pre-theater dinner down the block. We were very pleased with our selection.
We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Service was excellent. Caesar salad was ok, but shepherd's pie and fish & chips were very good. Bread was also very good. It was a very reasonably priced dinner for the area.
Got seated almost immediately. Having reservations is a plus. Food was excellent, lots of good menu choices. I only wish that the Irish breakfast was available all the time. It's only until 4 p.m. daily, and our reservations were for 5:15. Ambiance is wonderful. Old stained glass lampshades are beautiful. We'd go there again.
I ate here after seeing a show next door at the Lyceum Theater. The food was pretty standard, and the portions were worth what we paid (especially since it also came with a basket of brown bread!). The service felt rushed, as we got our two entrees less than 10 minutes after ordering. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised to get a bang for my buck, especially in a touristy part of the city!
The bar was very loud. We had to be moved. The food was just OK. The server was very busy and we had to constantly get his attention if we needed anything. Probably would not go back.
Made a reservation for a group of us having dinner before a show. We were promptly seated ordered drinks and placed our order. Service was great considering it was very busy. I would definitely go here again,
This is a great location for a quick meal pre-post theatre. I enjoyed at salad with chicken, and my husband had cod. The apple pie, while tasty, was expensive at $10.95.
The food was excellent and arrived at our table hot and fresh! The holiday atmosphere was festive and we enjoyed interacting with other diners. Service was a little slow but our waiter was very enthusiastic and pleasant. We will definitely come back again!
Great place to grab food after a show!! A huge restaurant so it was really easy for them to accommodate all 8 of us.
Been several times. Food always great (definitely try the signature Guinness Irish beef stew). Very friendly service. Plus, the staff seems invariably from Ireland, a true bonus. Great place.
Had chicken curry over rice and chicken pot pie both excellent. Great stuff . Service was snappy despite the large number of people. Noise level was high but it was a Friday nite. All good.
Old , kind of dirty , smells like a campus college bar.
Would NOT go back .
Arrived at restaurant on time for a 6:15 reservation. Was told they could not seat us for at least 45 minutes. Reservation was in their system with a red line throughout. Host wasn’t particularly apologetic. Other reviews on Yelp have complained that this restaurant did not honor reservations. Says the reservation is “not guaranteed.” Unacceptable. Do not trust a reservation at O’Lunney’s.
Front door check-in is very confusing
Service & Food were great!
The waiting list to get into the restaurant was insane. That's usually a good sign that lots of people want to dine here. We waited about 20-30 minutes for our table. The staff ran around trying to get people seated as quickly as possible. Best way to describe it was organized chaos, lol. We ordered the Irish stew, which was absolutely delicious. It would have been nice if a bread came with it. Since seating is so close to others, we chatted with people beside us. Such good natured, outgoing folks. The $11 slice of apple pie was good. It was rather noisy but what else would be expected of an Irish pub in Times Square a few weeks from Christmas? Would definitely return if the opportunity comes.
My only complaint was the music level was too loud. Would rather have enjoyed the din of people in a holiday mood.
Look- you are in Midtown Manhattan looking for reasonable food/drink in a warm inviting atmosphere. Along with approximately 150,000 others. O'Lunney's is a solid choice- live music (with room to sit away from the performers if you'd rather), a good choice of "Irish" staples- we enjoyed the shepherd's pie along with a good fish and chips. The price point is what you'd expect given the location for both food and drink. Is it the best Manhattan has to offer? Probably not- but the convenience is worth the extra mark-up...
Stopped in before a show at Townhall with six buddies and the place was buzzing. Fast service, really good food and friendly staff.
Service, food and ambiance were terrific. Great place to dine after a play.
would recommend for drinks and atmosphere, not for food
Dinner was poor. Like a school meal. Staff behind bar rude. Made faces which you could see in the mirror of the bar after the 20% tip that we had left.
Brilliant food great service. Would recommend to anyone.
