Special birthday meal for me and my Mom. Really enjoyed the view--was given a spot next to the window. The waitress was extremely friendly and kind. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was excellent!
We have patronized O'Lunney's for many years now and never had a bad meal or unpleasant experience. The service is excellent, staff very friendly and accommodating, food delicious.
Met a friend from from out of town. O’Lunny’s is always a great place to go
Standard Irish pub fare. Very good Reuben but hamburger was overdone and incredibly dry. Fries were good. They make great Irish coffee.
The ambiance was energetic which was great for getting together with friends, but made it difficult to hear.
Food was delicious and ample portions for the price. Best fish and chips anywhere!!!
Consistently good food
Very good for groups
Large tables and loud conversation is not an issue
Better than average pub food and good service
I really liked this place. We went to theatre and I read a review and booked a resie. Very good home cooking. Chicken Pot pie was delish and very generous. Bangers and Mash very good.
Waitress was so nice. Loud happy hour energy. Not annoyingly loud. Clean place. Hot coffee and dessert was yum.
Mari & Eric
Service great, food was delish. The restaurant including the bathroom was clean. Would def return and recommend
Wow Irish food in Times square. Awesome fish and chips. Great beer selection.
Good service, quick to get food. Great atmosphere
Very good staff friendly, excellent fish and chips and corned beef ruebens. We will visit again soon.
We had a great meal before matinee. Our waiter was so friendly , courteous and great stories
Promptly seated, courteous and professional service.
Very cordial service. Helpful server. Cod fish and chips very satisfying. We never felt rushed. Great room. I wish we lived nearby so that we could drop in.
Food ok, very noisy (guess to be expected for an Irish Pub. Try to sit in the back not near the bar. Huge after work crowd came and was encroaching on our dining space. Wait staff did not check to see if we were ok. Had to flag down a different waiter to order dessert and walk to the wait station to request ourcheck.
Grest atmosphere for groups. We only ordered apps, both the sliders and pizza were very good.
You can't go wrong with this Irish Pub! My husband had Fish & Chips and I had Bangers & Mash and they were delicious! The staff is super friendly and the service was quick! It was the perfect place to go to before seeing a show.
It was awesome! Great lunch spot with my family while winter storm Grayson was blowing through!
Perfect venue for a quick uncomplicated meal that is well prepared and served. Staff is friendly and the drinks are generous. Nice atmosphere.
Started with a friendly and knowledgeable bartender explaining cocktails and making sure we understood what went into what we were ordering. Followed by good food, with outstanding service from Kathryn (I think?) who mixed a great personality with attention to details. Overall great time.
We were seated at exactly our reserved time. Our waitress was quick and efficient. The food was good, pretty much what we expected from an Irish Pub. 9 people agreed: a good time was had by all
Good but nothing Special
Ambiente muy agradable. Lo disfrutamos en familia y en vacaciones!
Great place to eat. Accommodating staff with good food and cool atmosphere!! Fast food delivery and great for kids as well which was nice.
We made a reservation and arrived early and was seated by the owner Mr. O'Lunney. Glad we got there for an early dinner as it was quite busy when we left. Our server Gretchen was great. Food was good.
We were seated upstairs and our waiter would not get the mulled cider drink because it was downstairs. The waitress at the next table got it for her table and when we questioned our waiter he said he was too busy. Unacceptable behavior in a service industry
Everything was wonderful and all staff welcomed us. We were in for an early dinner before radio city's show. Our reservation for 5 turned into 9, but I called the day before and no problems . Food was yummy and plentiful . We will be back!
Loved the place. The owner met us at the door. Very welcoming! We were a bit early so we had a drink at the bar and a few minutes later we were seated. Would definitely go back!
Great food! There were 6 of us in our party. Only "lost" our waiter once, but we didn't feel neglected. Based on previous reviews, we made our reservation for 12P to make a 2P play since we had the feeling that we would constantly be looking for our waiter, but that was not the case. We ordered drinks first, then got around to appetizers, our meals, and dessert and still had tons of extra time. Didn't feel rushed either.
It is too bad that we had to eat upstairs and Sam the new server was sweet, but we had to ask for bread, water and we waited longer for our food than most of the other tables. My husband had the fish and chips and they were prepared well. However, my salmon with lobster ravioli was cold. i probably won't go there again and I've been there numerous times. I will go to Donnelly's on 54 Street.
Wonderful experience and great food. Service was exceptional for our party of 10.
Good cheeseburger with all the trimmings. Good fish & chips. Very loud, noisey. Not a leisurely dinner place. Had to screen to be heard.
Wonderful location. A good Irish pub with plenty options for beer on tap. Try the corned beef reuben.
Went after a Broadway matinee. We were seated immediately and served quickly. Fish and Chips and Reuben were great. Our server was very friendly and really good. Seemed a little too rushed, maybe because of expected dinner crowd, but we stayed as long as we wanted so no worries.
I am not one to go out of my way to leave a bad review but we didn't have a good dining experience here. The location and atmosphere are nice but that is about it. Our waitress was not very attentive, multiple times my drink was empty along with my sisters, we never received extra napkins ( I had Buffalo wings.) we ordered nachos for the appetizer, I know it's nyc but the nachos were almost 15$ and barely came with any chili on them, it basically was a bunch of chips with cheese sauce and a side of salsa. My sister ordered a salad for her main course which she said was delicious but that too was also very small. My wings were dried out and had not a lot of sauce on them and the fries were very soggy. When making the reservation I saw that one person wrote, if you're not a local or visit frequently you won't be treated like family there, which is their motto, that person was correct. We had a reservation but it was a slowish night and there were plenty of tables.. we were placed in a corner near the door with a draft blowing on me all through dinner. Walked out feeling annoyed for how much I spent and how little bit of food we got, we could have went to Carmines and spent just as much and got a crazy amount more food. We won't be going back.
I had a reservation for 2 that increased to 7, they not only honored the reservation but seamlessly accommodated our party. The food was great and wine selection was nicely priced.
We took our son and his wife and their two children and the meal, service, ambience could not have been better. It was lunch prior to the theatre which was in easy walking distance. We would go back anytime. A perfect family eating experience.
We have been to many pubs in the Times Square/Theater District and we didn't even know this place existed ! We found it on OpenTable, made our reservation, went in and we were just amazed !!! Greeted by friendly people that apologized for a little wait. Our server (Peter) was fantastic !! Quick, friendly and attentive !! Then we met one of the managers (Norman). He was great to speak with - again, happy, attentive, friendly, and earnest !! THEN ... We met the owner (Hugh) !!! What a charming man ! I wish he was my Pap. We could have talked to him all night ! He talked to us and treated us like we were his family. As if we were the only guests in his bustling establishment. I'd like to call him once a week just to see what's going on and to get some of his awesome Irish wisdom !!
If people like that aren't enough to convince you to visit this pub... The food was phenomenal ! Fresh, quick to arrive, delicious to taste, plenty of portion to fill you up and priced better then many of the ho-hum pubs in the area !
Now, I'm hoping that you all don't believe me. That way there will be space for us when we return and enjoy another great evening at O'Lunney's in NYC !!!
Super friendly and helpful staff! Good food at good prices for Times Square. Didn’t feel rushed.
