It was a beautiful evening of celebrating our 30th Anniversary. We love the Olivette!
Excellent service. Would recommend more health oriented options.
All in all, very enjoyable dining experience.
We had dinner here for our 36 year anniversary ... we were hotel guests and had also stayed here on our wedding night in 1982. We were promptly seated and attended to. Miguel was our excellent waiter who took great care of us all evening. We were served a glass of champagne that our daughter had ordered for us. We started with the fried oysters that were incredibly delicious and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the filet Oscar that he raved about and I had the red snapper that was cooked to perfection and delicious. His filet was cooked perfectly at medium rare and was perfectly seasoned. The cauliflower mash served under my fish was delicious. We were then treated to a delicious crème brulee for our anniversary and it was beautifully presented. Miguel was outstanding and personable and shared some stories of the restaurant, the hotel, Hurricane Harvey and we loved hearing them as we love this hotel and the staff. It was the perfect evening to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary and we are so grateful that Olivette is such a beautiful restaurant with such an engaging staff. We will definitely return and I have already posted rave reviews on Facebook.
It was ok. Nothing special. Just met my needs of a quick lunch.
We ALWAYS love our dining experiences at Olivette. The waitstaff is SUPERB (Jennifer, Eduart, Everyone), and the food is DELICIOUS. Thank you very much! Tom and Andrea Jaber - Missouri City, Texas
Service friendly and efficient. Food options and quality awesome. Beautiful setting !!
Took my Daughter here for her birthday. The experience was everything I hoped it would be. Food and service were outstanding! My Daughter was totally impressed with the whole experience and said "thanks Dad this was very bijou"!
Olivette is my go to place for so many occasions, but certainly for business meals. The service is always superb, the food is good, the atmosphere is calm, attractive and conducive to conversation. I really appreciate this restaurant
Met an old business acquaintance and had an enjoyable meal. Had not been here in years...always great people here. Alan
Great atmosphere, impeccable service combined with amazing food. I know every time I eat here, everything will be perfect.
This may be a hotel restaurant, but it is anything but ordinary and well worth the trip to come here. We happen to live nearby and love eating at Olivette. The restaurant is beautiful, and one of Houston’s finest. They not only have great seafood and steak, but the best vegetarian dish I have ever had anywhere. The service is always extraordinary. The bar is very lively and because it’s at a boutique hotel, there are always interesting people from all over the country to visit with. My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays, and out of all the great restaurants in Houston, this is the place we chose. That says alot. It is a place we love.
Great meal and service!
I always have a great experience! The food is delicious, service is impeccable and the environment is enjoyable.
A great venue for a business breakfast. Great service and good assortment of options on the menu. Quiet atmosphere and a great view of the Houstonian grounds.
Great location, nice ambiance, good food, exemplary service. I go to Olivette frequently and am never disappointed.
We were served stale bread and seafood that tasted like it came out of the freezer. Nothing was fresh. And at $35/plate, we were very disappointed. We don’t plan to go back.
Unbeknownst to my husband and me, the Olivette only serves Brunch on Sundays and we were wishing to eat lunch. Our waiter Eduard offered to ask the chef if he could prepare a lunch for us of roast chicken and vegetables and he very kindly did. The food was delicious, hot and served quickly. We really appreciated their willing response to meet our request. Eduard and Jennifer are to be commended. We have eaten there many times and will certainly return in the future.
Un ambiente diferente en Houston, un clásico. Buen servicio, buena comida, y un ambiente muy agradable, excelente atención del personal, y buenas opciones para degustar.
Impeccable food and atmosphere. Love the decorations during Christmastime.
Wonderful venue for holiday get together with friends but make a reservation because they are always busy during Christmas. Highly recommend anything at The Houstonian!
Very dissatisfied and have been coming here for years. Very limited wine list and too expensive. Noise distracting and food poor
This was my fourth time sharing a meal with friends at this wonderful restaurant in four years. Each time it has been fabulous!
We had the cedar plank salmon. Very generous portion. Able to carry on a conversation. Beautiful surroundings especially at Christmas
The staff was excellent
Great place with an excellent service unmatched in Houston.
Having lunch here during the Christmas holidays is magical. The variety of entree salads is excellent and their cracker bread is a must. The only problem was that the place we were sitting was so cold - I think because of the cold coming in from the outside- that it was uncomfortable. Otherwise, perfect.
Great service & excellent food. Ambiance was perfect. Beautiful Christmas decorations.
We had a great Thanksgiving lunch. Have stayed at the Hotel o n many occasions but never have we eaten at the Olivette. Did enjoy the meal and will eat there again

Quality food, great service, all entrees arrived at the same time, and very hot which is a must for breakfast. Great service and very attentive!
Only the best and freshest ingredients prepared in a tasty but not complicated manner.
The service is professional and low key.
I appreciated how attentive the staff was. Very informed on the menu, had great recommendations and was kind. Food was beautifully presented and on time as we were in a bit of a rush for lunch. I will be coming back here
OK this is a hotel restaurant, happens to be close enough to our home that we can walk there. Hotel restaurants are not always the best, they have a captive audience. But The Houstonian Hotel is boutique and the restaurant is superb. I eat vegetarian when possible, and I had the hominy and bean fricasee - the finest vegetarian dish I have ever eaten. My wife had the delicious wild caught salmon. We shared the large and unique southwest salad. Service was wonderful. We have eaten here many times, loved our dinner, recommend highly. An added plus is the lively bar with hotel guests from all over the world to meet and people watch. If you are just visiting Houston or you live here like us, this is a great place to be.
Didn't realize this was in the Houstonian when I booked it. Food was good (Duck was fantastic) and the service was great.
Excellent restaurant. We have enjoyed food, service and ambience for years. Staff is top notch.
We had brunch buffet, the food was ok, not many people there, so it was quite. It's lightly on the high price end for what they offer but we had a good time with friends. The real complain we had was misquotes , one of my friends got 5-6 big bites on her knees.
The trout was dry. We went because of the some items that were on the menu and they said they had not had them for four months. The cappuccino machine was broken so that was out.
So if you want mediocre food for a high price and beautiful ambience I recommend it.
I love this place! The service is impeccable and the food was delicious.
Excellent atmosphere! Great menu for Houston's Restaurant Week.
Excellent food and great service. The restaurant has some problem with knots that detract from the dining experience. Not sure why but management can't seem to get rid of them.
This place is completely amazing! From the service to the atmosphere to the food... amazing is the only word that describes our dining experience.
