OLiVES - Bellagio Ratings and Reviews
Requested outdoor dining when the reservation was made but when we arrived a table wasn’t available. Was disappointed because the reservation had been made for a group who had not dined there before. The food was good, especially scallops. Would have chosen a less expensive restaurant if I’d known we couldn’t dine outdoors in view of the fountains.
Disappointing, after being seated and requesting a table in the shade We were denied, however, another table asked and they were moved. I was sat in the sun, very cramped with wait staff, bumping into me as they walked by when there was another pathway they could have used. As always the food was excellent, and looking around others, the view was lovely as well. Definitely would be more assertive next time.
Bad service, but food was good. Came here to enjoy the Bellagio fountain show while dining. Been here before and really enjoyed my experience. But my recent lunch was disappointing because of the awful service and water show had tech difficulties. Wouldn’t return again.
Olives is a lovely restaurant. Wanted to sit outside but they don't guarantee outdoor seating, so when we arrived, the hostess said she could sit us by the window. Well by the window meant 5 tables into the restaurant with a sort of view of windows and fountain show at Bellagio. Food was just okay but very expensive. The carpaccio was too busy. Carpaccio is raw beef and the accompaniements overwhelmed the beef. My Osso Bucco, veal shank, was ok, could have been more tender and the veggies were so undercooked I couldn't cut them with a knife. My husband's dry aged rib eye was too thin. Disappointing expensive meal.
We've always had a great experience at Olives, but on this Thursday night the service was sub-par. We were seated at a table for 2 on the patio for an early dinner. Our waiter was attentive at first as we enjoyed a cocktail. After our meal was served he checked in & we asked for wine list. He brought menus but never returned to take our order - although he walked by our table ina rush many, many times with absolutely no acknowledgment that we were there. He finally checked back with us after our table had been cleared. Nothing like a nice meal with tap water to wash it down! We especially wanted to dine at Olives since we hear they are closing, so it will not be the best last memory of Olives, but we'll miss the Cable Cars.
The hostess was backed up, tables too close as a waiter hit me in the head when waiting on the table behind us, asked for outside seating for my son's birthday had a reservation and then were told it would be another 1 1/2 hr for an outside table. Food was overpriced and marginal. It was very loud! They didn't have plain mac n cheese on the menu and that's the whole reason we went there for his birthday as he had it there before and liked it, he's a very picky eater! They did make it for him. He didn't like any
Of the dessert options so they brought him some cookies with a candle but they had nuts in them and he had a nut allergy.
As always, John English's Olives doesn't disappoint. We waited in line to get the first table available on the patio area, so that we could enjoy the famous Bellagio fountain, for a 5 pm reservation. Talk about worth the wait!!! What a fabulous show! Staff were all super friendly and kind, and very welcoming. We had our 9 month old little girl with us, and they were very accommodating with her as well. We saw three fountain extravaganzas, and one of which was with all the lights as well (after dark). Weather was perfect, but I don't think that you can give Olives credit for that! The food was spectacular - as always. I tried the scallops this time - 4 scallops, all very big, perfectly cooked, not a spec of sand in any of them, and the risotto and squash reduction was delicious. Staff are always friendly and our meal arrived within 20 min at the perfect temperature.
Highly recommended! We eat at Olives every time we visit Las Vegas. It isn't a Vegas trip without a meal at Olives!
From the moment we arrived everything was special. The hostess was wonderful as was our server. We asked for an outdoor table knowing the chances were slim BUT there was one directly beside the fountains. The most beautiful view and ambiance. The menu was varied and affordable for Las Vegas . I had butternut squash ravioli and it was divine as was everyone’s meal at my table. We will definitely eat there again in the future.
We always love Olives. . .service at the bar is very good and the restaurant fits any occasion. This time we didn’t receive exceptional service from our waiter; however, the wonderful food (we enjoyed the carpaccio appetizer, scallops, steak, Casear salad with blackened salmon and butternut squash ravioli) and fountains made up for the inattentive service which we have never experienced before. Would still recommend this to anyone.
