Oliver's is the quintessential old fashion fine dining! We go during the week; the weekends can get a bit noisy because the bar can be heard in the restaurant.
Amazing food, beautifully prepared with exceptional service!
I had the special which was halibut with beets. It was outstanding! Their Cesar salad was remarkable with whole sheaves, fresh Parmesan, and potato croutons.
Special occasion or just a night where you want to be treated special... Oliver's is fabulous!

We absolutely LOVED the food, and the service was the best we have had in a long time. If you go here on a date try to avoid getting sat in the booths by the bar. The bartender was VERY loud and very distracting. It took away from an otherwise incredible meal.

We really enjoyed the food. Service was excellent. The only draw back was that we were seated at a table next to the bar and people were standing right next to our table. It was our anniversary and I would of preferred more secluded seating.

Everything was great! Perfect place for Valentines Day dinner.
Everything was perfect start to finish. I took my wife here on Valentine's Day. We have had plenty of fine dining experiences in and out of Buffalo, but realized we've never been to Oliver's, despite the fact that I grew up down the street, worked there when I was a freshman in college, and my parents still live down the street. From the second we sat down the service was impeccable. Our waiter Charlie was very personable, attentive, and well versed on the food choices and even their origins. The kitchen was very accommodating to a switch that my wife wanted to make with her entree as well. We had the braised beef piergoes and potato tapas as an appetizer. My wife had the Caesar salad and I had the shrimp poblano pepper bisque prior to our entrees. All were amazing. I had the osso bucco as an entree, which was so tender and delicious it did not even require a knife. My wife had the New York strip steak and loved it. Everything was so delicious that we opted to order dessert which we never do. The banana walnut bread French toast dessert was incredible. Meal service and restaurant were all a 10 out of 10. We will be back for sure.
Favorite place in buffalo
First time dining at Olivers and can't wait to go again. The entrees are pricey but so delicious! Best tasting food I've had so far in Buffalo. We went for Valentine's Day and we ordered 3 appetizers, all amazing. We tried the spinach loaf and enjoyed that too. I don't know who the chef is but he/she nailed it. My filet mignon melted in my mouth. I love this place!!!
My husband and I dined here for the first time this week and we both really liked it. The service was great. Our server Fred was very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to answer all of our questions. We had many, since this was our first visit and the restaurant is more of a fine dining experience. The spinach loaf was delivered first and it was delicious. We had the pierogi as an appetizer and it was to die for. My husband had an Elk Steak that was cooked to perfection and I had the Branzino which was nice and crisp. Both meals were healthy portions, came with sides and were very tasty. The dessert menu was a little extravagant, everything had a lot of ingredients, many of them unknown to us. We got a chocolate custard brulee thinking it would be like creme brulee and it was nothing close to that. It was still pretty good but wouldn't order it again. I would recommend dining here for date night or a special occasion.

We had a wonderful dinner at one of Buffalo's outstanding restaurants. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Pace of dinner was comfortable. Limited wine menu. Food was outstanding as was the presentation.
Haven’t been to Oliver’s in a while but will be back soon... had fabulous cocktails and enjoyed tips from our waiter when choosing a bottle of champagne. Food was outstanding from appetizers to dessert and the live music made the night so enjoyable.

I will have to say the service and food are top notch. The servers are attentive, but not overbearing. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt well attended to. The food was spectacular. We had the small plate oysters, filet, and scallops. The filet is the best I’ve ever had and the scallops were superlative.
The food was outstanding! My husband and I both had steak (filet and strip steak) so the waiter recommended a caesar salad to accompany them. What a great suggestion!The dressing was lovely, the crouton was whimsically delightful and the anchovy was was on call, if desired. The entrees were cooked to perfection and the sides were so tasty and unique. Added bonus: the bottle of wine was half price on Sunday and the pinot wine we chose was delightful and not super costly. We had a memorable and wonderful experience.
The valet was very friendly, but then we were greeted at the door by a rude coat lady and pushed aside at the bar by one of the greeters trying to add an extra chair for a regular. Our waiter was very friendly and outgoing, but he couldn't make up for the overpriced cocktails and menu. In addition, it was far too noisy during dinner. We will not be coming back to Oliver's anytime soon, if ever.

Oliver’s never disappoints. From Nico’s knowledgeable and well spoken service, to Chef Ross’ delectable entrees, as well as Pastry Chef Palmiero’s delicious desserts, we once again had a top notch experience! We are from the south towns and usually stay close to home when it comes to dining, but we both agree that when we want to be pampered both by service and talented chefs Oliver’s is our number one choice.
Service was wonderful and food was excellent.
The menu is so interesting and the presentation exquisite. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal; it was so good no brought home a doggie bag!

Oliver's has remained the "Gold Standard" of Buffalo dining. Dave Schutte and Ross Warhol have maintained the high standard and have taken it to new heights. Buffalo has many talented chefs but very few execute the dining experience at this level.
Skilled management and staff. Our waiter took the time to explain the nuances of the menu and related history of Oliver's to the customer. Makes dining much more pleasant. Valet was wonderful too. This is a Buffalo icon!
Oliver’s continues to be Buffalo’s finest high end dining spot. The service is always top notch. Every thing we had from the egg appetizer to the lamb was cooked to perfection.
Outstanding service and food. Pierogi Appetizer was fantastic. Prime Rib special was tender and flavorful. Our three year old granddaughter loved her Buttered Noodles with Cheese. Her one year brother enjoyed chicken tenders. Beautiful Christmas Day diner experience !!!
Christmas is always a busy day, but the staff was exceptionally accommodating even to valet assistance to enter the restaurant through icy conditions.
The food at Oliver's is incredible. But our night was ruined by very poor service. The service at our table was very slow and the waiter was very surly. However, the next table over got incredible service from the same waiter, who appeared to know the party at that table. An example of the poor service, we waited close to an hour before they would take a food order. Everyone was hungry at our table so we ordered some spinach bread. The bread came out, the waiter glared at us, and then gave the bread to the other table that he appeared to know, which recently had been seated. This experience will certainly make us think twice before choosing Oliver's again.
