Ordered an appetizer and wine when we sat down. When wine arrived we ordered our dinner. 2 of the same items. Dinner arrived and still no appetizer. They took back out dinner so we could enjoy our app. When dinner was brought back out the steak in my salad was off. It was chewy and tough and the meat looked weird when I cut it. When he manager came over he basically said that is the cut of meat. I know my meat and I know medium rare. Long story story they ended up bringing me another meal. It looked like they dumped a bag of poppy seeds on it but whatever. By that point my friend was already done her meal. The steak was way better. They gave us a free dessert to compensate which was nice of them. I was excited when I booked the restaurant because I hadn’t been in a few years. Was a little disappointing this time. So many good restaurants in TO that I’m not sure I would choose to go back again.
Great venue for a before concert drink and and a bite. Wonderful wait staff and great food.
good was fantastic and service was excellent. would definitely recommend
A great time. I minor error in our order but the staff fixed the error very well and gave us a free salad. Great ambiance.
I didn't realize when I booked that they only served Brunch on Saturday/Sunday. The brunch menu was mediocre in terms of both selection and taste. I wouldn't go back for Brunch again.
After the food came, the service stopped. This is truly a tourist place. Torontonians would never put up with this. Out of all the restaurants in this city, this place is a waste of space.
Had a horrible experience at this location.
We were going to a kids show across the street at the Sony Centre and had about an hour before the show started, we notified our waiter (who was great) and he assured us we should be out in ample time for the show.
We ordered our son's meal instantly as we anticipated he could eat slowly while our meals would be a bit quicker. We ordered our meals under 5 min later.
15 mins later our server came over to notify us our food was coming, but nothing.
10 mins later... nothing.
10 Mins later... nothing.
5 mins later we let the server know we would have to come back for our lunches as we would have to leave or miss the show start time.
Over 40 mins!!!! had passed and the GM came over to our table to apologize and let us know our food was coming, we said we have to leave.
Our food arrived just as we were getting on our coats. The GM paid for our tab but we were late to our show and had a not so impressed 4 year old boy on our hands.
Not impressed and the situation was POORLY handled on all accounts.
Unacceptable service from the kitchen.
We made a reservation prior to a show at the Sony Centre, but they were unable to give us our table on time due to an influx of walk-in customers before the show. Once we were finally seated, our food took 45 minutes to arrive and some menu items were unavailable. We were forced to leave before everyone had time to finish their food. Also, we learned the hard way that the separate “kids’ menu” is simply adult menu items that kids may find appealing, with adult portions and prices. We felt we wasted food and money, considering our three children could easily have split one of the gigantic $17 pizzas they ordered.
It wasn't the greatest experience...it took an hour for our food to arrive. The couple next to us complained and walked out. Once that happened the General Manager came to our table to let us know that the food would be right out and that he would be taking care of our bill.
I would go back again and have eaten at O&B previously, however the kitchen really dropped the ball this time. Since the bill was covered it didnt leave a sour taste in my mouth. people make mistakes.
This is the second time that we visited this location. The first time the service was slow but we decided to give the restaurant a second chance This was mistake -the service was extremely slow again, The manager made a lame excuse, that the kitchen was preparing meals for three other tables.
Not our problem!!! The restaurant was be no means full and therefore we believe that the kitchen is extremely under-staffed. We will not be visiting this restaurant again!
Always a great experience at O&B Yonge Street- easy access, top notch service, quality of food is stellar - and ambiance is exceptional. Great for all dining experiences.
Good meal as always at O&B but we unfortunately had a terrible waiter who must've thought he worked at a Michelin-starred restaurant, not an upscale family-friendly establishment. Rude, focused more on the chef's interest's than his customer's. Really surprising given the great experiences I've had at other O&B restaurants.
It was my first time there with a few co-workers. Had the Salmon for dinner - really enjoyed it. It was a nice evening, excellent service and a decent ambiance.
The service was awful. Our waitress never even asked us if we wanted a drink before she asked us to order food?!?! Then the food took forever and one steak was cooked completely not as requested. I told them we were celebrating a birthday when I made the reservation, but she never offered us a dessert. By the time she came back to the table we just wanted to get out of there so we asked for the check. We have been before, but unfortunately we won’t be back.
Coffee served cold
Steak was delicious
Honestly, cannot even begin to say enough about how amazing my experience at O&B was. This restaurant blew my expectations out of the water, and I enjoyed every minute of the time we spent there. I made reservations for a friends 30th birthday celebration, and the group of us were just awed.
Phenomenal food, delicious drinks and incredibly friendly wait-staff made this an unforgettable experience.
On the table: calamari, crab dip and the beets salad for appetizers - all of them perfect. The calamari did not need the aioli it was served with, and everything was so flavorful that we ate it as fast as we could. Dinner orders were ribs, fish and chips, lam gnocchi, and the seared salmon, and from the bites we all shared, I can say that each of these dishes was cooked expertly and to perfection. Fall off the bone ribs, and to die for cornbread, with raves about the lamb gnocchi as well. Dessert, despite being full to busting phyllo cheesecake and creme brulee. Both divine. There are not enough words to describe just how good the food is.
We all had different mixed drinks as well as water, and again, expertly mixed and carefully prepared. It is clear that nothing short of perfect is expected in the kitchen and bar of this establishment.
The menu might look pricey, but it has been a long time since I had food that tasted 3 times better than it's own price tag.
Service and food was great as always. Our favourite appetizer is their mushroom soup. Food is always fresh and well presented. Fantastic location conveniently located within walking distance from financial business area and Union Station. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent and the service was attentive! I would recommend it.
This was my first at this restaurant and I loved the ambience, wine and the pasta!
We had a lovely multigenerational family dinner. The food was great and the menu was able to accommodate a vegan diet as well. The lighting was a little dim for the older members of our group but we all enjoyed our dining experience.
My shrimp linguine was very nice. My birthday gal wife had fish and chips. The thick batter on the fish was all mushy inside. She offered half her fish to me, but i also didn't care for it. We were too embarrased to send what was left, back to the kitchen.
Our waiter was fantastic and made the evening special.
Enjoyed the food - large servings. Our server was very attentive.
Service was attentive and fast.
Food was excellent and large portions.
Music was a bit too loud.
We drove an hour just to go to OB cafe. It was amazing and I'd go again in a heart beat.
I used to work at an OB years ago and I try to recommend it to anyone I know going to the area for dinner. Love it.
Great experience, good quality and value before seeing a show
Staff were great and food excellent. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable and hospitable. Was overall a wonderful evening out.
I had my birthday hosted here on Valentines day. It was amazing, the service was great and wine was 20$ off! The place is also great for taking pictures, loved the decor. The food was good too, my friends loved the chocolate cake. The place is super romantic too, I would definitally come back with a significant other.
Great restaurant, attentive staff and great food
Excellent food excellent staff. Great wine the apnosphere is relaxing and elegant.
I went there with girl I love for Valentine's Day! She enjoyed it and I enjoyed it. Thank you for being so attentive (especially at replacing my water and iced tea!!!). Thank you and we will back one day soon.

Sadly, our otherwise good experience was marred.
Your “classic” Caesar salad arrived undressed. Had we been asked if everything was ok, I would have mentioned that my husband’s salad was not a “classic” as described. I had to call our waitress over to explain. While she did bring a container of dressing on the side, the salad just wasn’t up to snuff as you can imagine. I can’t help but wonder why this salad even left the kitchen in this state. Who was overseeing your product? While the salad was removed from our bill, that isn’t the point. We expected better quality control from a high end restaurant. I’ve been to this O&B many times (as well as Bannock snd Auberge du Pommier when they were O&B) and this is the first time I’ve experienced a problem.
This is why I’d hesitate to recommend this establishment. It is a small detail, but one I’d have expected to be taken care of. I’d be loathe to find this happened to a friend who I recommended O&B to.
Went here before the Raptors' game at the Air Canada Centre. The service was great, but the food was a bit disappointing. I had the Tuesday special "Lamb Kebobs" which were just one skewer with lamb, and one skewer with vegetables, on a bed of green leaves. My wife had the gnocchi and shredded lamb, which was a little to salty.
Server Katie didn’t check up on us often or offer refills, but was friendly enough. As everyone ordered sweet potato fries with their lunches, the portions varied from lots to half a portion, which was a disappointment. Food tasted good overall.
average to good food. menu had some variety. overall acceptable not exceptional.
Food was very good wine was 20$ off a bottle
Nice Ambiance, Good food, nice service and great staffs
Great menu & attentive staff. Excellent!
Very tasty food. Convenient to ACC. Great staff.
Not overpriced, but not cheap.
It was fine, but nothing special. Server was lovely and on top of everything - we needed to have a glass of wine, eat and get to the game and she made it happen. That was the best part of going there. Nice space. Had a burger and it was ok, nothing great. Convenient before the hockey game but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there
